Also this is the Megan who has discovered how to do something similar which is why they would make good training partners.
Not really. Renegade M'gann is no longer afraid of fire. SI M'gann is, but can use molecular disruption due to the fact that she knows that it isn't fire. Green Fire would still scare her.

No a good idea on pre-existing metahumans.
Even if true, nobody would know that in story since the process has never been tested on a Meta-Human.

But it's not Green Fire either, it's just molecular acceleration that looks like it.

Well either that or you borked the explanation since you said she can instantly melt metal but the effect doesn't extend more eight inches from her body. In reality if that was actual fire at that temperature it would be pretty lethal way past 8 inches due to heat transfer convection.

It would also probably kill her by eating up all the oxygen or burning her body/lungs to a crisp from the superheated air.

Oh, I don't meant that it wouldn't work necessarily, just that the SI wouldn't do it and anyone he asked would say 'no, of course you shouldn't do that, are you crazy'.

It's a super power. The flame effect is steel meltingly hot, the air around it is slightly warm and no oxygen is consumed unless she sets something on fire. Presumably, the power itself provides all required parts of the flame triangle. Exactly how it works hasn't been properly tested.

We don't know the mechanism through which she generates fire. For all we know, she can spontaneously generate some chemical that ignites with the air, along with forcefields to control the heat and flame.

She can generate fire hot enough to melt steel at 8 inches, she can't instantly melt it. Plus, she could have a secondary power or aspect of a primary power that makes her able to control the heat generated by her flames to a degree.

Since she hasn't died after testing her powers, either this isn't the case or she wears an oxygen mask while using it.

Pyrokinisis isn't fire
You're thinking Thermokinesis, Pyrokinesis is fire.

If she is doing all that she's a lot more then then just a "Pyrokinetic".

Either she is actually a plasmakinetic like her other selves or she is a full on thermokinetic and subconsciously regulating the temperatures to keep herself intact.

It's interesting that Paul didn't clue in on that when he was researching her for possible league membership.
That sort of stuff requires detailed investigation with the active participation of the person being studied. His research only really covered current abilities. The Justice League isn't really set up for training people, it's there to organise people already at the top of their game.

Why does it require a detailed investigation to know there is more to her powers then "create green fire"?

Doesn't Wonder Woman regularly train with Big Barda? o_O

And don't the Green Lanterns regularly train against each-other and Paul? o_O

Well, Bea, the matured mutant alpha bitch, has a date with the superhero version of the cool loser, her natural enemy. No wonder there's tension.
Wait, since when is OL considered a "cool loser"? Is this because of those cosplayers writing fanfiction about him?

I thought the public views him as a "hipster hero", ironically fighting crime through pragmatic genre-savviness instead of 'righteous face-punches'.

Dana Dearden: "Wait, how do you 'ironically' fight crime?"
OL: "I give villains what they want in such a way that it encourages them to become less socially disruptive. Oh, and I always call villains by their real names so they can't hide their actions behind self-imposed labels."
Dana Dearden: o_O ???

Seriously, go Google "hipster superheroes", it's hilarious.

OL: "I got my spell-eater in Poseidonis, you probably never heard of it."
Zatanna: "I was talking backwards before it was cool."
