You know, I'm actually kind of looking forward to the revival of Khandaqi polytheism.

I mean, I'm not guessing it will be anything major for a few years, but having the primary executive empowered by the pagan gods of your ancestors is going to cause some huge waves sooner or later, especially with how reasonable and fair (not to mention dependable) Adom is being overall.

I have a different theory as to why Superman is absent.

With OL having been busy in Kahndaq, which of Canis's two handlers did that leave to escort him to New Genesis?

So, how resistant would Wonder Woman be to Queen Bee's mind control if it worked on her? And how likely is it that she's, on some level, attracted to women?

This is going to end horribly even if she hasn't already been mind-controlled/replaced on Apokolips, huh?

Queen Bee's mind control is pheromone-based, hence the name. Wonder Woman is made of clay, not flesh. Bee's powers will do precisely jack to WW.

Adom snarls. "You are in no place to make demands of me! You will tell your mistress that Princess Diana of Themyscira is coming, and you will tell her that if I detect even the slightest attempt at trickery then it will not take an invasion to remove her from power. No, I will kill the witch immediately myself."

"Teth Adom of Sector 2814. You have great rage in your heart."

No Kal-El? Oh, he's a big boy, and Adams said no one was seriously injured on our side. Maybe he just wants to spend some time sightseeing?

Kinda expected the mission to have lasting consequences.

I find I'm cycling through various paranoid theories about why Superman didn't show up.
Kal clearly found a lady friend and the lasting consequences are going to be a little cousin-sibling-pseudochild for Kon.

This is a very good point. Plus with Adom's dedication to international cooperation he'll be sticking with secularism, at least as much as possible as a demigod can do.

Random Khandaqi: There is no god but Allah. Muhammad is the messenger of Allah.
Adom: "Yeah, about that..."

She would still be vulnrable, as she's a flesh and blood human in every way that counts. The real reason that it wouldn't work is that it's based on sexual attraction, and Wonder Woman is, usually, straight. And OL would put up a filter if there was a risk.

Fun factoid.

Teth Adom is the only possible ruler of Kahndaq/Egypt who can legitimately wear the Nemes and not look like a poser.

Now granted Kahndaq/Egypt is one of the Heartlands of Islam so likely a religious revolution isn't likely, but a cultural one is very possible

Reactions: First off, Adom is being very sensible. Good for him.

Second off, anyone else get the feeling that the League got away really, really, REALLY easily? I get that perhaps it was more difficult than was let on, but... it's friggin' Darkseid's home planet! That's not a thing you escape with minor injuries! Unless you're Scott Free, but still!
This would be true, except for the fact that Justice Leagues the multiverse over have made something of a tradition when it comes to infiltrating Apokolips and getting away relatively scott free(I totally didn't mean to make that pun). It's practically a rite of passage for Justice Leagues now.

Well flesh and blood is also usually not bulletproof either. WW is divinely empowered so she can probably resist it just like Teth or a new god could.

Adom's very existence kind of blows monotheistic theology out of the water, though. Their god is not the only god, nor does his propaganda really stack up to Teth "I can body countries" Adom.

*shrug* Abrahamic god with no actual proof who demands you pray five times a day amongst other very irritating things or we have these other gods who we have actual proof they exist because they kinda empower the immortal badass that is the leader of our country.

I know which one I'd be willing to believe in / worship.

I extend my ring-granted senses through the boom tube-. Ah. They're coming from what I presume to be Supertown, New Genesis. I can't think of any reason for Apokolips to have a place like that.

They are all infiltration units and that was an Apokoliptian spy town designed to imitate Supertown, New Genesis for the purpose of training infiltration units.

The real Justice League is still back on Apokolips.
