"In cases where the provocation is sufficient, yes. Slavery, slaughter, mass mutilation and mass mind control would result in me intervening, more or less regardless of other factors."
Hey, uh, Paul, Paul? adventures in space say what
I think he hit two out of four with the Citadelians, and he did say (and while I was against that even in context) regardless of other factors...

Pretty much, but that horse has been beaten to dead.

Lets just move along and agree that Paul can be a raging hypocrite when it suits him and that is completely fine because his ring is orange.

That is possibly one of the most to the point conversations I have heard in the fic so far.

Even the talks with both Doxs didn't feel like this one.

I think he means as an institutional thing. He views short term mind control as simply a somewhat distasteful tactic. As for mass murder, well the thing with the citadel was his intervention. It was certainly a grey enough act to debate, but I don't think it makes him hypocritical. the part of his space adventures/war crimes you could point at as a point of hypocrisy was when he worked with a lot of pirates rather than forcefully freeing their slaves.

Was it intentional to give Icon as inhuman a voice as he seemed to have?

I mean I like it, it's alien, and very different from "black Superman" which it is really easy for Icon to devolve into.

It's not like the show used him or Rocket all that much. I'm honestly not sure why they were included.
Aside from snarky comments about diversity quotas...probably? Because S1 YJ had to deal with the Wonder Woman-based version of the Bat-Embargo, and therefore couldn't include Donna Troy. Since that left a slot open on the wish list, Rocket was subsituted in instead.

For S2, they had more leeway, and with Cassie Sandsmark joining the Team, Rocket was no longer needed.

This feels... wrong somehow when I read it. Either the word 'elementally' should be replaced or something should be put after it because it seems incomplete as is.

To me, this feels like it should be either 'and now his powers have changed him so much that' or 'and now he's enough of an elemental that'. It just feels as though there's a missing word or two as is.

It could work better as "elemental-y", since that better indicates the idiolectic nature of the phrase.

I'm not aware of any currently active telepaths on Earth whose abilities work like that, and from what M'gann told me martian telepathy generally doesn't have that sort of effect.
"Martian" I think.

"Yes, effectively." She blinks. "Oh, were you not in the loop on that? I got him a new ring, and he's now elementally enough that as long as he wears it he won't decay."
"elemental", or "enough of an elemental"

I also think it's a pretty safe bet that the women given orange rings on the planet that blinds its women didn't restrain themselves to just giving the priests that blinded them a comfortable retirement somewhere.

Hmm, seems Icon's powers manifested earlier here than they did in the comics.

In the comics, Icon didn't find out he had superpowers until the Civil War.

After waking up in a mass grave after getting shot in the chest by a cannon while fighting in the Union army.

False imprisonment is a crime. Imprisonment is what happens when you commit a crime.
No, as 'human' shouldn't be capitalised either. I realise that this is a change in policy from me.
"elemental", or "enough of an elemental"
I realise that it's an informal way of expressing the idea, but that is correct.

Look forward to talk with other League members though highly doubt most of them will go nearly as well as this last one.

Who are the ones that had a major problem with OL's actions again?
