That's the thing though, she's NOT entirely controlling it, it's controlling her. She doesn't even have the benefit of a proper ring, and as a result (from what I understand) the effects on her mind will be even more pronounced. She has far too much violet text.

But really, if that were the case, it'd be fine. The problem is he hasn't even TALKED to her about it, or even thought about it.
In what way is it controlling her? Zatanna's behavior changed from before, yes. But putting it down solely to mind affecting influence of violet light is disingenious. Paul's behavior before and after the resolution of Nabu's situation is at least as different as Zatanna's. And hers should differ more:
1) She's an actual teenager with all that implies
2) She was far more emotionally invested in the situation
3) She had and has to deal with more consequences than Paul

Taking all those into account, I don't actually see much, if any, effects of the violet light on her behavior.

Also, bear in mind that she's not using raw star saphire. She's using a magical staff made by best atlantean mages to filter star saphire's power and uses that to power her magic. Which is why all her magic is violet colored.

I'm still not 100% clear on exactly what the fruit has to do with the proposed conversion. The original discussion suggested that it would combine some of the relevant magics, but it didn't seem to specify exactly which magics the fruit is supposed to combine.

Sephtian what happened?
Sephtian, what happened?

I am honestly having a hard time justifying how OL hasn't noticed that Zatanna's becoming concerningly violet.
He did specifically tell her to get ready. The reason they made the staff was for her to use it. If she were going around wearing violet crystal armour every day instead of her enchanted cape and trousers, then he'd almost certainly be concerned, but in a critical situation like this, powering up is a good thing.

Now, if she has a hard time switching it off afterward, that's different.

I'd laugh if after all this work the League doesn't accept Blaze and it turns out Batman did find another suitable magic user.
OL still comes out ahead; as he pointed out, the whole thing is pretty much a win for him any way it goes.

Her eyes narrow at me. "Why? Why would you offer this to me?"

"I square things with Batman, the League gets a magic user who can reliably trump Satanus, you become safe… And all those souls you have bound to your little demi-Hell get to leave, because there's no way you'll be able to combine those energies. And we get everything you know about Satanus." I nod my head to the side. "Or… Something goes wrong, you die and a thoroughly repugnant woman is expunged from the world." I smile. "So I come out ahead whatever happens. Really, I've got no reason not to make this offer."
Even if the League says "no", he still gets most of that.

Mortals get to choose between Good and Evil because they've eaten of the Fruit of the Tree of Good and Evil. That is, that can transform between good and evil because they have a connection, a path, to both from mortal earth and form. Blaze doesn't. They know where she is now, they know what her endpoint should look like, but they can't transform her through it because she has no connection to a middle ground - the mortal earth - or to heaven.

A mortal, even a mortal who had fallen and become a demon, would have such a path, but because she was born as she is she was born without choice.

Is it weird that I can imagine a scene where Zatanna is able to feel and see the violet light that inhabits and connects people, similar to what Paul can do, and has a confrontation with Jade due to the increased and constant exposure to the star sapphire and her own feeling for him. Where she's sort of annoyed that Paul puts so much effort into their new relationship and Jade hardly returns to same level of effort, or at the very least show more appreciation, since she experienced having to leave her comfort zone multiple times in order to figure out how to save her father and kill Nabu.

I think Zatanna is exactly immature enough to do that, rather than understanding as an adult would how incredibly unproductive it would be. Seriously, wagging your finger at someone else's relationship and telling a woman "you don't deserve him" (as if it were any of her concern) would be such an overloaded on violet light dumb thing to do.

Especially since she can created construct armor and enhance herself with both the staff and magic plus invoking the Predator's 'wrath', versus Jade who while an experienced and trained assassin is still base line human with a few tricks up her sleeve but mostly relies on martial arts and melee weaponry.

Why, are they going to fight or something?

Other than that Blaze shows how much she overestimates her own power and underestimate her brother, who can't see her but hijack her own pocket hell to attack her, as well as Paul's ability to get things done when given enough trust and time. Something she should rectify once she gets the Gabriel's wings attach, along with practicing and experimenting see how far her powers can go, especially against her brother and the forces of Hell.

BLAZE: Now I have free will and angelic power. This is great! After I kill my brother and take his realm, I'll be a much more effective demon.

ALL: What?

BLAZE: Look, just because I have choice doesn't mean I want to be good or regret anything I did. I love being a demon, and fallen angel demons are so OP. It's going to be great.

The souls of normal Humans soak up whatever magic is around them. Partially as a result, they can use just about any form of magic. Elemental creatures (including Demons) can't. Blaze is essentially a Demon with a meat component. Demons find pain, madness and destruction to be inherently beautiful, and not always merely inflicted them. Since one interpretation of the Fruit's effect is that it taught Adam and Eve the difference between good and evil, the idea is that it might have the ability to turn Blaze into something Human enough to integrate with the wings, something that is currently impossible.
Sephtian, what happened?
Thank you, corrected.

Given how mad evil she is, I'm not sure why anyone would.
Even plugging her into holy-power wouldn't do anything to cure her basic amorality.

Using her to kill saturnus is fine, but I don't expect her to actually become a 'good guy'
Actually, I rather expect OL to have to kill her at some point.

Frankly, it would probably have been smarter to try and turn Zatanna into an angel or something. Human-to-angel is one step less than Demon-to-human-to-angel, and even with her brain being fucked by PINK, she's still less crazy than Blaze.

Because the SI remembers what happened to Chantinelle. And he hasn't told Blaze.

The succubus who got turned into a love elemental?
She became love-focused, which is better than being lust-and-evil focused like she was before.

Unfortunately, it's already been well established in this story that 'holy' is not the same as 'good'
The angel that these wings were gathered from, for example. Wasn't he a bit of a cunt? Wasn't there a whole thing about angels trying to strip away free-will not so long before the start of the story?

In light of all that, it seems likely that plugging angel-power into Blaze is just going to make her self-righteous without actually making her less amoral.

Certainly a possibility, but you don't seem to be factoring the effects of the Fruit into your projections for Blaze at all beyond just the ability to be hooked up to the wings. Perhaps you should consider what other side effects of using the Fruit might have on Blaze in order to get her to the right place to be able to use the wings?

Edit: Also

Why are you trying to get Blaze to attack the Heterodynes? Besides I'm pretty sure Saturnus could take her.:V

I get the feeling she got hired by Hera...
Because a Love Elemental would DEFINATLY be helpful, especially when Hera wants to help couples.

Based on the way Blaze is described, she is - relative to almost every other demon - 'good'.
This is really more of giving her another option then her current methodology.

Do note, there will likely be side effects to the conversion - take Ms. Violet Elemental for example...
She was freed from Demonic taint... and became a positive influence. Almost like how the Predator would be if under the same 'enlightenment' Ophidion got - not acting on every Violet impluse that pops up.
(actually - I can picture the Zamarons reaching out to her relatively quickly... she would be the 1st true Violet Lantern - wielding a Ring, not the staff - instead of Carol.)

The fruit, in my opinion, will act as a catalyst for the conversion from Demonic to Holy. Since the symbolism is akin to a fulcrum (the ability to weigh options and choose).
Lots of stories have Fallen Angels behaving somewhat Demonic...
I've only read ONE story (not linking, it's a MATURE one) that touches the idea of 'Fallen Demon' - The end result is becoming Angelic. (note, Angelic as in 'act to help someone' - even if they don't realize they need it).
The last chapter noted this with them 'glowwing' during Christmas Prayers in a Church...
I think the idea is VERY appropriate. Angels & Demons are the two sides of the same coin.
After all, Lucifer was an Angel who was cast out, and became a Demon/Devil... In most lore.

I have watched the show I am talking about how the red ring seems to appear out of nowhere one minute they are talking about how you haven't bought the dlc next red ring
