I want to order a better class of reader.

Misplaced space around the first quote.
Thank you, corrected.
Clayface canon origins are chemical experiment to mold flesh like clay, a plastic surgery without incisions, gone horrible wrong.

Not a magical pit.
There are about five different Clayfaces in the comics. They even formed a team at one point.

I never said it wasn't rude. I said that you wouldn't be up in arms about it if it wasn't an atheist poking at the holes in Christianity.
Let's not tell other people you know how they would act in a different situation better than they themselves do, OK?

It's really bad faith debating, and more than a little condescending to the person you are talking down to.

Hmmm.... Multiple Clayfaces, an experiment to mold flesh cosmetically without surgery and then considering the effects of OL's efforts...

Sometime in the future...

The new clayface threw itself against the sphere holding it. Blues and yellows mixed in with the standard tan, it bounced against the forcefield again and again before morphing into human form and slamming her fists against it.

She was young, blonde and pretty. Well, only for a moment. She melted. It was a nasty looking process. Flesh melted off her face and turned back to clay. She tried to yell, but, well, she was just clay. She only looked human. No lungs or vocal cords in there.

It wasn't hard to see what happened here. The records taken from the lab she destroyed confirmed it. An aging starlet, seeking to maintain her beauty, dosed herself with the latest alchemical cosmetic her company was developing.

The results... well, they spoke for themselves. That new batman defeated her. There were bat shaped forcefield projectors stabbed into the ground around the bubble, but now it was up to the police to clean up the mess.

I have just discovered that there's going to be a Teen Titans Go film.

I guess it's a karmic balance thing.

There's already a future clayface, she's called Inque.

I'm more of a marvel fan. I make no claim to any knowledge of DC villains. Well, I did watch Batman Beyond when it was on, and I probably saw that episode, but it was so long ago that I don't remember it. Mostly just added the batman beyond reference to put a time frame on how far in the future.

Is that what was up with Inque? I vaguely remember feeling like she went against Future Gotham's aesthetic when I watched that show as a kid.

shes was an on the streets immigrant of a war torn country with a young child, who agreed to genetic experimentation for a lot of money and to get of the streets. when the dude just kicks her back on them when hes done she used the results of said experiments to become a espionage expert and pay for a better life for her spoiled kid.

not immediately obvious but it does fit the themes of said show.

There needs to be a facepalm reaction option...
fascinating, it finished the body, then it dissolved. Specifically it dissolved when the soul would have been put in. Maybe the energy that was supposed to reattach the soul got grounded itself out by dissolving the body since there was no soul for it to reattach?
Actually, that would imply that the could could be attached outside of the actual Pit itself, which is good to know, if true.
Normally I'm all in favor of science, but this may actually be verging on Things Mankind was Meant Not to Know.

(Which is more severe than Not Meant to Know. That just covers things no god thought about prohibiting or requiring. Meh knowledge.)
Personally i think that the things that a god would not think of forbiding would be worse then what they would think of.

Eh, we already paid for that with the Fantastic Four movies, and Civil War was no great prize either.

Fantastic Four was technically a different company, and was more mediocre than anything. TTG and Last Airbender inspire rage, while the F4 movies were just generally forgettable. And I liked Civil War. Sure, its plot has more holes than Swiss cheese, but it was genuinely entertaining.

You must be forgetting how M. Night Shayamalan managed to sieze the title of "worst adaptation ever" from Dragonball: Evolution.

I object to that. the motivations of everyone in the Last Airbender was intact in the film, even if everyone is acting with the worst direction possible. most of the plots they kept were intact as well.

Dragonball Evolution outright changed personalities, the fu lum were changed for seemingly no reason. hell the turtle master had no fucking turtle.

Mr. Zoat? I don't remember if this was mentioned, but is the White Entity hibernating in the Earth in this universe? If so, it might explain a bit about how and why Lazarus Pits work...

Unfortunately not true. Aang's motivation for his pacifism shifts from a personal choice to some weirdness about all avatars (someone should probably talk to Kyoshi about that...), Katara's motive goes from "protect the innocent" to "he followed me home, can I keep him?", and Sokka goes from entertainingly snarky to Anakin Skywalker.

The only major character I'd say was actually intact was Iroh, and maybe Zuko. In all honesty though, the similarities actually make it more painful, not less, because we know this is a good story, it's just being butchered.

And let us not even speak of the pebble dance.

Yes, it's been mentioned a few times but was first confirmed when OL joined with the Ophidian.

"It's not that simple. No one on Earth has ever encountered anything like this snake creature before."

Wrong. Even now we can feel the blinding white light of the Life Entity. It doesn't appear to exist in a physical location but rather is partitioned from the corporeal world in some sort of mystical demiplane. Strangely, we feel no desire to intrude on its isolation.

You know what occurred to me? Joker's origins outside the Golden Age was that he fell in a vat of toxic waste and emerged as The Joker. Considering that Gotham is a natural conflux of Eldritch Chaos, and how Lazarus Pits are, you know, part herbal solution and part caustic acid (excluding the geomantic energies), what are the odds that he ended up falling into a variant of a Lazarus Pit by chance?
