Given that Grayven's excuse for starting out as human is that he threw himself into the bleed, and then came back later to Earth, it's completely in line with his cover that he wound up in a different universe than he started with. And that he wouldn't have known it was a different one until he met this universe's Grayven, because it's not like he ever traveled much.

I hope this means Orion is showing up very soon? All this New God aspect makes me want to learn more about them. It's such a shame that they don't show up very often in animation.

The problem is that if they start showing up regularly, you also have to have regular appearances by New God-level foes. (Well, either that or have them suffer the old Superfriends staple of having the first act of each and every fight being Hal getting konked over the head.)

I was wondering why he was visiting Darkseid, but then I remembered the last supplementary Renegade option:

His expression changes for an instant into one of absolute rage, then the screen deactivates.

Huh.

That's going to be a problem.

Mother Box, any damage to the Anti-Life containment system?

Ping.

No, I wasn't planning to make a habit of doing that. And I realised that we'd probably run into each other at some point… I just wanted to imply that Father and I were on good terms and that coming after me now might pose a certain risk…

Ping.

No, he'd have checked. And I haven't been hiding myself; I'm in too many databases now. But what am I going to do about…

Ah. I'm… Going to need to talk to Father, aren't I?

The point of sending you to school is to teach you how to be able to act like a normal Human.
On the one hand learning to 'act like a normal Human' is a rather subpar option when they can instead learn to be people. Normal is a social construct and very specific to each culture. Being a person is just knowing how to figure out other people's boundaries and quirks.

On the other school sucks at teaching both. Doubly so when you already know the material and are thus A) board and B) appear to be vastly smarter than the idiots who didn't get a knowledge upload.

What they need is socialisation, preferably with the sort of people they can be expected to live with (Greyven's other subjects), not to sit in a battery farm.

He's surrounding them with children of the same age in a semi-structured environment. It'll be fine

"Yeah. Maybe. What are you doing today, Dad?"
I gently push my chair back and rise to my feet. "More networking. With Adam-. Adom awake and himself they need someone around who can translate for him and explain the modern legal process. I'm mostly just sitting in a room while other people talk to each other. Not very interesting, I'm afraid."
Ah, he lied to Lynn about what he was doing.
I wonder if Lynn caught his plans; it would explain why the super-telepath was so....fidgety.
This is going to get interesting, in the Chinese sense.

@Mr Zoat I tried to find it in the story only thread, but what happened between Sunset and Zatanna, this here is the last i could find them being friends
Could be. I haven't been showing a lot of their interactions, particularly while Grayven's been in Vega.
Thank you, corrected.
Children they will not actually be interacting with 90%+ of the time. Children they have nothing in common with and who will almost certainly be frightened and or resentful of them.

It probably won't cause much damage but it isn't going to help.
Like most of life. An excellent lesson!

We had very different school experiences.
Mine was closer to what Angelform is implying than what I think you mean, but I do see your point, as I did interact with them more than 10% of the time, whether I wanted to or not (a lot of my classmates really weren't worth the effort).

OTOH, if they've been taking in modern entertainment and liked some of it, they do have a chance of having something in common with them.

The way Sunset was reacting to everything sets off some 'leaving the plot' flags. Like, she seems really angry with Grayven, more so than she might usually be.

New God level foes?

Yes, that would be a problem.

Why add all that C list fodder?

Oh no, the woman with the awesome superpower of having roller skates is coming! Oh woe is us!

And that New God is A freaking female fury, one of Darkseid's elite, one of the best the planet has to offer.

So let me repeat having a pair of roller skates makes one an A lister on Apokalips.

So does having a bow and arrow, an electric whip, claws, or a hot knife.

Yes, truly the stuff of nightmares.
