It's entirely possible that Atlantis has different rules considering the rules aren't even consistent across European countries. And even in England, since the wife of a King Regnant is a Queen Consort, there's been talk now and then about making it symmetrical so that the husband of a Queen Regnant (e.g. Elizabeth) would be a King Consort.
The differences in how Atlanteans handle titles comes up in the episode after next. Poseidonis has the one marrying into the crown getting an equal level title, though the one born to it has precedence.

You know, Sun Tzu might have had it wrong.

The supreme acme of skill isn't to win a battle without fighting, it's to recruit your enemies to fight with you.

So, story-wise, what are the chances that Alan will flat-out refuse to take a lantern made by a weaponer of Qward if he learns where it came from? Because I can see this happening. He already refused several morally dubious ways to prolong his life. "Recruited an omnicidally evil alien to make you a lantern in exchange for providing him with data to make even more horrific weapons of mass destruction" is not very moral, at least depending on the spin of it.

Bling-wise I am really curious about where this is going. Paul has recruited the Weaponer, one of the best weapon makers in the universe. He has access to Controllers, one of the best tool makers in the universe. At least Hephaestus seemed to be interested in going to space, and is a supreme magesmith; Vulcan might be interested too. Paul has access to a number of OCP materials and technologies (I outlined this before), both "mundane", "scientifically hyperadvanced" and "arcane". He has, on numerous occasions, stated that he is planning on reequipping his corps and darkstars. For story reasons, Reach obviously won't be steamrolled over. But, realistically, Paul and co should be able to produce equipment that would put them quite ahead of the Reach in terms of offense, defense, utility and movement speeds. I am really curious about how this is going to be handled and how Reach will escalate to compensate.

For one, the Reach is apparently freaking huge while the OLC and associates are scaling up from the ground up and that buys them a lot of time to develop countermeasures if nothing else. They probably haven't survived this long without being somewhat good at it.

This recruitment would seem a bit unrealistically easy, except that Paulphidian just tanked a superweapon. Gotta take someone like that seriously.

I can actually see this working out well. Get him to help wipe out the Reach, quietly train a replacement, then stab him in his sleep, in accordance with his own beliefs and Guardian rulings on the subject of Qwardians.

The ring might complicate that, of course, but, Embodiment of Avarice. If he poses any kind of threat to what is hers, he can be cut off from the orange light.

They can also do exponential growth pretty damn well. Better than Reach, really. What with orange lantern self-sustaining constructs. Hell, it would not surprise me if "assimilate self on death" could be added to the rings' functionality (optional and consensual, obviously), and we already know that orange light constructs can make more of themselves.

Did Truggs allude in any way to the Orange Night that Abra Kadabra so fears?

Cause I'm thinking that those two come from different futures with a pivot point in the 'present' centering on Paul.

If I recall correctly, Orange Night that Kadabra knows about comes from when Reach tried to use / ally with / subvert Larfleeze in their attempts to destroy / conquer Green Lantern Corps. At least I remember @Mr Zoat saying something like this. It wasn't initiated by Paul, and, so far, it seems that all downstream time travelers come from futures without Paul.

You do not recall correctly, unless there's a WoG that I missed. Literally all we know is that Kadabra mentioned Orangest Night, and Truggs mentioned the Reach; nothing appears to have connected these two future events.

It's pretty easy to see why Guy is so against this, but wow is this bad new for the Reach too. Which makes it all better at the end doesn't it?

Here you go....
Also, is this the Orange NIght? Random Orange lanterns flying around assimillating whoever they get their hands on?
No, that was Larfleeze. See, in the original timeline (the one Truggs and Abra come from) the Reach went looking for things that could fight Lanterns. They made representations to Apokolips, Qward and Okaara to try establishing a relationship. It went about as well as you might expect.
