I feel like when Paragon does finally end up engaging himself in his love life, it will be something incredible to behold. This is all just build up.

And that, of course, is the nature of the scam. The fact that you think there actually IS an incredible romance anywhere in Zoat's timeline, and not simply endless ship teasing to torment you with what almost-could-have-beens means....you've fallen into the trap. Mr. Zoat is victorious. You've doomed us all.

Maybe the serpent that became the Ophidian was female, and now even though she can be whatever she wants, she takes it by habit?

It just feels frustrating as a reader. Because It is man is supposed to kiss their lover and go to war.

Here we see Paul being woman enough to weird me out.
From an evo psych perspective, of course people want to spread their genes before they risk their lives. And also after. But it's a bad idea to start a relationship with someone just because you had, will have, or shared a dangerous experience.

There was one lady on Say Yes to the Dress who was marrying a guy she met in the Boston Marathon Bombing. It didn't work out.

Everyone saying that Eris would have a problem with this probably don't realize that compared to what most individuals given the chance would do, Paul's being the chaotic one by not hitting the hay with her.

With This Ring Abridged:

"I'm just afraid afraid that the sex will be that good, that we will fall in love and I'll skip the "going to space to fight evil space empires in space thing" and instead just pick a fight with the League of Justice."

"Okay, now I'm almost too confused about how the second part necessarily follows, to be pissed off about the patronization inherent in the first part. Almost, still quite pissed here."

"That good sex. Which we are not having. ...Remember the tentacles?"

There's another factor OL may not have considered: given his reaction to magic, he's probably going to experience withdrawal symptoms upon leaving the unusually magic dense Sol system

Casual sex doesn't exist on this forum you mean
Red Lantern Paul of the Teen Titans universe hooking up with Blackfire during the Fools' Canon storyline.

Also, while Compassion!Paul in The Boys' setting didn't directly participate, I'm sure he got to witness plenty of casual sex when dealing with the injury fetishists and the hookers that were inadvertently prepped to accommodate their tastes.

For the love of... you have two rings! Give her one and she can come with.

Thankfully you're flying in a ship and not by ring power. You can train her in meditation and small gradual doses to innure her to the ring while in transit.

How long was her parole? And, honestly, the first thing she and Paul did after leaving prison, was fly away from the USA. So, if they were able to get away with fleeing the country (even if she did return), there's no real jurisdictional difference between International Waters and Intergalactic Space.

She did mention she was still under it in the second to last update. And I figure she'd want to be able to return to see family and stuff if nothing else without being arrested.

Y'know, I don't think Grayven would be any happier about this than he would if Paul had gone for it. In fact, I could see it triggering, well, something like this:

*screams in frustration*
GODDAMNIT ZOAT! QUIT COCKBLOCKING YOURSELF!
... but longer, with a lot more red, and possibly without calling him Zoat, depending on whether the version of him before Paul and Grayven split used that name, and whether they're capable of saying it if they did.

EDIT: Unless he found out before he regained the ability to have red, of course, but this just might help him recover it.

Is Jade's age in a range where it's non-skeevy for both Paul's actual age and Paul's apparent age? If not, I can see bad things happening.

At present, she's a little under Half Plus Seven for his actual age, but she'll be within the socially acceptable zone for both ages after things progress to Season 2's timeline.

For my view, Half Plus Seven is less important than relative maturity. Also legality, but as Jade was nineteen when introduced in YJ-canon, that isn't a problem.

Jade is easily mature enough, emotionally, in comparison to Paul.
