Are you sure? I thought Qi attacks were almost purely physical phenomenon. Atleast in Li's case, it seems like it. Since Li basically ejects a Qi aura around him that lowers the senses and biological defenses related to the nervous system of all living beings inside it. So anyone around him becomes induced into perma panic and sense numbing, and in this state Li can just bop someone and the vagus nerve reflex reaction stops the heart because the small attack becomes such a big perceived shock to the body that the body just dies.
