The stream for Aniplex Online Fest 2024 came and went, and as was promised a few months ago, it gave us news for the Fate/strange fake anime.

(starts at around 3:50:00)

Main news: on November 23, the first episode will get a world premiere broadcast live in Los Angeles, appropriately enough, at the Fate 20th Anniversary Showcase event in Hollywood.

Whether the season will follow immediately after or months later is unclear, but regardless, the anime is real!

Feminist Kerry is actually a product of that oldest of Fate traditions: Taking the quote out of its proper context; a few lines down you get "...Is he really a feminist?".

If I'm remembering right, the entry comments about how as a gentleman Kiritsugu naturally had both a wife and a lover and he warned Shirou against making girls cry because it'll be a disaster for him specifically, then immediately turns around to ask if Kiritsugu is really a feminist because...well, he's a cheater and warned Shirou about hurting women because it'd be a pain to deal with :V

My personal stance is that you should always transliterate フェミニスト as 'feminist' because, as seen above, it is extremely funny.

And speaking of funny:

Taiga being a yakuza princess is such a great choice. It basically never comes up and isn't really plot important but it lurks around, a detail that you suddenly remember and go 'oh yeah, it's pretty funny that some of Shirou's income derives from going on hunting trips with a yakuza boss.' Like, someone had to be managing this orphan's finances, but the choice to make it the mob is inspired.

On a similar note, great to reveal that Kirei handles Rin's finances but as he's a miserable investor most of her inheritance has been squandered on bad deals lol
