@veekie dedicating a wing of our temple to healing is very much out of our usual domain. It has been stated repeatedly, that we really can't pull a Harzi, we can't be great at everything. Trying to be only leads to being half-assed in everything. So no, we should use our temple to improve to our strengths.

Its mainly practical reasons of limiting pop loss from our stunts. No complaints if I lose here. Night and Seers are just as good.

Eww. I could maybe see holding it to get some sort of Afterlife trait or somesuch, but really not a fan overall.


Life, on the other hand...there is a certain syngery with being The Mother that I wouldn't mind. Hmm.

I'm leaning towards the healing waters. If we really want the other temples we can build up to 2 more. And the healing is location specific and I think it is the option most likely to star generate a priesthood. Would work great with Ghetto`s newfound healing skill.
Also a greater place to use as a attraction for mortals and a false image of our nature should new spirits come wis it or hear stories from their followers.
 
Can't decide between Night and Seers...
I want Water as well, but I'd rather wait for a temple closer to the sea for that one.

The health one might seem nice and is unique to the location, but doesn't seem all that fitting for us. (If one of the other pantheon members built a temple at some point next to this one, they probably could built it themselves).

All temples are presented with one of a specific number of options:
A single Location-Based Option, regardless of how special the place is,
And a number of additional options based on your Innate or especially powerful Domains.

Nox cheats a bit and technically counts as two domains under one Innate umbrella.

YOU CAN REPEATEDLY PICK UP THE SAME OPTION FOR FUTURE TEMPLES. IT JUST MAKES THEM BETTER.

Well... We don't really have life traits (just got Death after all :p), but water might be related...

Hmm... @Powerofmind , is it possible for us to try and extinguish his bonfire as reward for our victory?

Unless it isn't just a bonfire, it'd be the sort of move that isn't doesn't outright hurt the doofus but still states quite clearly that Gaerig is cooler than him.
Some might say that it's better to outright attack a Spirit than it is to attack their pride, but if the first ecounter isn't violent there's at least a chance the future ones won't be either. And we get to claim the moral high ground that Gaerig totally didn't attack first and really they're just a bunch of prudes over there.

Come, visit the temple and bathe in the dark waters of Gaerig! We have harnesses to keep you from spiraling screaming into the black entry to her domain! Heals all sorts of injuries, sicknesses, and other illnesses!

(A whole 3 days since a mortal was accidentally flushed into the Dark Mother's demesne!)

You likely can't force Shosho'an to extinguish the bonfire as compensation for the insult.

I don't really want to pick up healing, we make orgies to replace our population, we don't actually fix anyone. More importantly, spirit of death is AMAZING. Jesus christ, strong bonus to disperse or kill other spirits a tier below us? Some day we are probably going to want to get rid of that, but we should use it some to weaken the bloodied spirit pantheon first. That dude is going to get aggressive at some point and stacking mods against him is going to be important.

Night was actually making us vulnerable to him if I read that correctly. He flared power and we were forced back and had to darken things further to not be harmed. I would think doubling down on darkness is the wrong choice for dealing with him right now. It is the same problem we had with Attrouska blasting us with light magic in her shrines. We were vulnerable to it due to the night and darkness stuff. Going for water so we can try to drown his bonfires seem like a better call for dealing with him.

All the people that were agreeing with me that we should emphasize water a bit more, now is the time. We can try to bring the traits a bit more to the foreground through our temple. If all you want is more night stuff and to double down on what we currently spam then Night is definitely the way to go, but I hope to bring back the water aspects.

Why so violent? Shouldn't we at least try to have some friendly relationships amongst almost-equals?

Pretty sure we would've been forced back no matter what. The guy is literally made out of Divine Sunlight, that's some strong stuff. Covering ourselves in darkness allowed to weaken his sunburst.

But obviously the answer is to turn Gaerig's Avatar into a living New Moon.

No need to take it to the sea, we just swallow it whole. The sheer coolness of eating part of the symbol of a foreign god in his own territory is well worth any wounds we take from the burning.

I'm a lazy writer. Conveniently, all I have to do is heavily influence the narrative with Gaerig throwing a fit and being petulant and the voters blindspot right into 'kill the fire with water'.

Well when what you have is a hammer everything looks like a nail. I am not just referring to Gaerig on this front either. The guy turned himself into a melee monster, and bred a race of super soldiers. I doubt he is going to be particularly chill.

Keep in mind we were taking extra damage from Attrouska's sunlight due to being night based. Doubling down on night stuff makes us more vulnerable to sun and light based things. So yes, a burst of divine sunlight would have pushed anyone back most likely, but it pushes us back extra due to our nature. Doubling down on that aspect of our nature might not be the best plan in general until we come to an accord here. Especially when the other option is picking something that can smother his flames.

I want it as a concession for having built the temple in Keshketev's village. I really don't want our roots as Water Spirit to be forgotten. It's not like we need any more help getting Nox traits and actions as opposed to water actions.
