Time of the Gods: Into the Amber Age

He's probably sleeping. Also wouldn't that give us less Sustenance than my plan?

Which I still need help with, btw
Depends on how much discounts he's built up. If he's too asleep oh well.
Do we have confirmation that Divine Creatures also have to grow like regular beings?

My mental image kinda had them reach full power within a very short amount of time.
They do need to grow
We'll earn Legend whenever we win a Trickery round against her!
... Which sadly we seem to do rather rarely.

Really, how come our daughter has more wins against Divinities than we do? I love her like everyone else in this thread, but I refuse to lose to her without a fight!
Currently Gods and Spirits Seski had tricked:
-Met and tricked Saitev
-Met and tricked Fox
-Met and tricked Attrouska
-Met ant tricked Gaerig

The little scamp.
PoM said they might get to full strength in a year.
Yes, which is why I want to introduce them the year they are born, since it's the only time they'll be cuddly for him

Thinking about it, we've picked up the painting skill, and there's at least a few classic gags involving fake scenery or forced perspective. Painted doorways or ground that only looks like it has a pit in it. A recent Freefall comic comes to mind.

Maybe something on the way into one of our shrines?

Additionally, is the legend we get back 66%, or did you just round to that for Seski, and it's really 60, 70, or even 50%? Will Seski give us any additional legend, if, say, she ascends or something, or are we done getting legend from her for good?
70%. She will give you a small kicker for ascending, but most of it will go to her.
Can you reword the in a way that doesn't make it sound like we are spending 80 legend? I know that this follows the original choice (which could use some rewording itself), but this literally says something completely different from what it means.
Hey, heeeey. I ain't no dummy. I know veekie's plan is for 4 AV 1, IN 1 doom bears. I'm not going to accidentally 16 of them.

I think you forgot to count the sustenance for the bears.
It's a bit too good to be true.

Done.

This part is for peaceful DE churn. Yes. That's an amazingly large amount of DE being churned into blessings, I'm not sure about the exact return rate, but from what we know this is approximately how much churn we need based on an average return of 1.6x per Sacrifice blessing without Yellow Moon.
I'm doing this to basically test how much bang Yellow Moon gives on Blessings, and whether we can break even that way.
Can't do much after all, not while we're trying to Despise traits.
-[X] Find Seski! Costs: 10 DE, 2 Sustenance

Little scamp come home!
More to the point, success or failure, it makes it more likely for her to ascend.
-[X] Sire a Divine Creature, using Polar Bears as a base

--[X] 18 Sustenance for Elemental Manifestation - Moon, Focused Manifestation - Blood Moon

Bloody Bears. Next turn they'd be full grown and we'd have despised the excess traits, allowing us to assault Attrouska with hatemoon bears.

-[X] Study World - Examining the signs and functions of the world, you may determine how things are they way they are. x2
--[X] Study Precious Gems. Costs: 10 DE
--[X] Divine the Purpose (Aids in divine item creation). Costs: 15 DE
---[X] Chamber of Change Shrine extension
Since there are some doubts about the Chamber of Change, and we have confirmed that it can be studied, we nerd out.
And figure out what the Gems are good for. That shit is high tier. Don't waste it blind.

Do a bunch of experiments on materials.
Gems synergize with the Study I hope.
And Silver needs using before it tarnishes.

--[X] Despise Elemental Affinity - Cold
Yes we love all these traits. We're currently at cap, Despising them gives a large discount, and we can pick up the Sea traits again very quickly with any Roils after the discounts.

Sustenance 31.5-5(Pantheon)-2(Study)-1.5(Despise)-2(Seski)+10(refuel)-2(Future)-18(Bears)-4(arts and crafts) = 10/40
-5.5 passive consumption. And I think "pantheon" should be -3.5? In any case, this puts us under 10 but above 0.

I don't think Gaerig going a little nuts this turn is a disaster, but you should double check your math here, and consider anything you might want to pull from the plan.

I will drop some Innovations. One moment.

--[X] Despise Elemental Affinity - Sea
--[X] Despise Elemental Affinity - Stars
--[X] Despise Elemental Affinity - Cold
So, EA cold isn't too important, and while stars boosts our moons i'm not really sure how, since @Powerofmind said EA's boosted VE gain and most moons don't cause VE on their own, but EA - Sea is pretty important for DE churn, especially on peaceful turns--assuming PoM didn't change the system, it boosts our DE return from Sea based actions (you know, control seas, lure, guide, direct fish, give bounty, i think all get the boost) by 33% (Base VE/success is 0.75, +0.25 by each matching affinity) for non-destructive acts

This looks good to people?

So here is my question, if we want a point of influence to make the blood moons more effective on these bears why would we not add some other trait that they could use to more directly kill the enemy? My vague recollections is that adding moon provides a bit of a buff to their blood moon, but not some massive addition to it. If we are leaning into influence to make them more deadly why not go with cold or water? Or avatar 2 and doubling down to try to make it more effective?

Rechecked the math, did have to strip some of Innovations and one Study World to get a safety buffer, but we should be able to eat the ambrosia forming next turn since it triggers at the same time as the upkeep.

This is not intended to be permanent.
It's a temporary arrangement that will be rectified by fearbuy in short order, because we're going to SMACK Attrouska heavily next turn and would prefer not to explode in the process from a glut. Since we don't use Sea on an attack turn(we do use Stars, but too close to the threshold) owing to Attrouska being inland, it's temporarily shelved.

Remember traits Despised when you are full up on traits allow you to buy them back at a large Legend discount, so we would be able passively fearbuy it even on peaceful turns if it's dropped to 1 Legend like all the others.

?

Isn't Lure just Trickery? Or Trickery and Sing?
I was under the impression that EA - Stars would boost all our actions that interacted with the seas...

Also, i wont be able to do a full annotation for a while, but:

Aquacustics?
Influence rolled 8, 6
Minor/Moderate
How much do moonlights give now? Because unless you changed your mind on the system change we have 4 successes worth of moonlight boost, and rolled
8 -> 28 + 12 (Inf 6) + 5 (Night Mother) + 4x = 45 +4x
6 -> 15 + 12 + 5 = 32 + 4x
And iirc you said each moonlight success would boost by +3, so:
45 + 4*3 = 57
32 + 4*3 = 44
Both of which are moderate successes in the new DC 20 system, unless i misunderstood something...
Lure (no, it would not be relevant)
Trickery + Sing rolled 16, 17
Epic I/Epic II
Trickery +2

Subtotal VE: 5
...Shouldn't this be higher? Epic I is 4 successes, Epic II is 5, so 9 total successes from this, and you said even un-affinitied/non-destructive acts would be 0.75 VE/success, right? And Lure is destructive and if i understand right should gain the boost from EA - Seas, so it should be 1.75x, right? Again, unless you changed how you wanted the system to work and/or i misunderstood stuff...

Also, I am not sure we should track down Seski right now rather than let her have her grand adventure. She needs to do these fun things now while she can easily travel around rather than be stopped by her mom. Remember once she dies she will spend quite a bit of time stuck in our village due to not being fear based, and thus having to sleep for more influence to increase her travel distance. Let Seski grow people!

Divine Beasts are describes as living programs, executing instructions from their traits, I believe @Powerofmind mentioned that being double Moon means that they are strongly influenced by the Moon, allowing us to do the Bloody Moon targeting beam stunt, which I'm not sure if a different affinity might distract them.

Additionally, since they are relatively weak in Influence(Effective 3 on spirits), doubling down would be needed to punch through enemy Influence effectively, especially if the Moon allows it to piggyback on OUR hostile Moons. We know that Moon affinity allows triggering it's own Weirds too, which would be interesting.

Finally, their designated target being Attrouska, her stuff is all on hills, so any water or snow they're going to use have to be delivered by us, while also increasing the danger that the bears pose to our people.

Basically they're designed as anti-mortal shock that also fights good because they're bears. The Blood Moon breaks enemies, and then the Avatar lets them mop up the remnants, allowing us to focus on the enemy gods and spirits.

?

Isn't Lure just Trickery? Or Trickery and Sing?
Lure is just Trickery and Sing yeah, we do it on the water, we do it on the woods.

@veekie would you add an action to put sea pixies in the aquatic portion of the new kids creche? Or some random sea animal that won't hurt him, either or. We should get started on this now and not let up.

I asked earlier, and he said they would still follow the blood moon, but fair enough.

If there is some agreement on this I am willing to drop it and churn that DE into even more growth blessings. Going back to bed now though.

Hmm, sure, why not.
(No really tell me why not if it's a problem)
