You know, I usually don't have it that clear, but this is the only chapter where I could clearly hear an animal character's voice. I guess James Spader's just creepily memorable like that.

Edit: Also, if like me you were annoyed that the backing track ran out during Boss Dugong's background montage, I'd recommend this as a theme. Might have to replay it though.

well i have only really seen up to just about the fishman island arc, but i have got to assume that fisman karate, to be in its full power and usefullness, must be used in water. and well, who is one of the strongest members of the crew who also is equally at home in water and on land?

i haven't got the motivation to continue after Flamingo got his ass whoop
so i'm about as blind as Cross is right now on anything past that Arc
 
Great chapter.. but the cliffhanger was a little bit on the weak side this week. It's still there and left me wanting more... but it's not all that strong. I feel it would have been better to stop at the revealing of the battleships, and moved the scene of then discovering just who was on it till next episode. left the readers imagining who the girls were going to have to face, instead of reveling who they would be facing.
meh. it's only a minor thing in an otherwise wonderful chapter, and it still works very well unchanged ^_^.
 
When I was reading this, I was literally shaking, my body was is on an adrenaline rush that just won't stop. The sheer, unfiltered awesome of this glorious work of literature has me utterly at a loss of how to even truly try to convey how hyped it has gotten me. Cross-Brain, you have firmly captured the tone of One Piece. Now, I would try to continue, but the only thing stopping me from going full fan-gasm is that when I get horribly excited I get very eloquent in my diction, and I'm fearing that if I go on any further I'll go full circle and embarrass myself in front of my officially favorite authors.

I'm truly sorry for not writing a proper review to this chapter, but I'm too tired to do it right now and I know myself well enough to know that I will be too lazy to do it later.

Cross reading that blackbook had me laughing so much. Tsuru entering the MI has ALL my yes. And that Boss vs Fukurō fight? Just... DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA OF HOW LONG I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR YOU GUYS TO TELL US THE DUGONGS' PAST? That flashback was... a Man's Delight!

(On a slightly unrelated question, does anyone here knows if there's a One Piece General Thread? The closest I could find was the One Piece ideas, recs, and fic discussion thread, but it's on the Fanfiction Discussion sub-forum, so it's not really appropriate for what I'm planning. If there's not one, would the mods get mad if I wrote it here?)

Yes, I totally agree. I actually felt sorry for Senguku, even with how much shit that Cross just read out about what he has done (to the WORLD). The sheer amount of incompetence that having a SIGNED Black Book behind...

In the manga/anime, Senguku's reputation was preserved even after he left the marines. Here? Every marine, every civilian, every pirate, every kingdom KNOWS some of the stuff he PERSONALLY signed off on. Either hew as complicit with the atrocities/operations committed...or he was criminally negligent in giving somebody a signed document.
 
I literally cried at Boss's flashback scene. I don't think that I've ever felt that emotional reading a fanfic ever.
 

This represents pretty much how I feel about this story! That Crossbrain has been writing for over a year now is amazing and this story keep getting better and better.

The current Crossbrain haven't written this for a year yet, remember that a mad surgeon did brain surgery to make the Crossbrain better at some point.
 
I don't actually know. Maybe Smoker talked to his grandma and gossip took care of the rest?
