Please, no. This is both Body Horror (which will not be appreciated by the more sensitive readers) and kind of offensive.
Actually, the fat on Alvida's face is more concentrated in the cheeks than in the neck.
HO-HOHOHO, HO-HOHOHO.
The first has Cross just laughing in midst of his friends and enjoying the usual, merry (heh) life of a Mugiwara. It's the short, amused laugh of when the crew is all together on the ship and Luffy is getting a beating from Nami because of his antics, or Usopp has something explode on his face because he got distracted while tinkering on the deck and didn't notice when a fight started around him. The second is Cross laughing in the middle of a fight, when suddenly one of his comrades pulls off one of their stunts and he just can't help but think "I can't believe you actually did that, you beautiful bastard".
But the third one is my favorite. The third is that chill laugh of a Cross who is facing mortal opponents and uneven odds, all while chuckling.
It's that laugh of when he has lost all his edge, to the point where someone with some measure of common sense would just surrender and cut his losses. But. He. Starts. Chuckling. It's the laugh of a desperate man who starts acting a little too calmly for his situation, who has abandoned all pretensions of having the little sanity that his enemies made the mistake of assuming he still had.
It's the laugh of when Cross stood right in front of Aokiji for the sake of Robin, all while knowing that he had no hope of winning a brawl against a Admiral. Of when he knew he could do nothing more than talk, and he talked. That laugh is a dangerous but somewhat amused sound who mocks peril in place of falling into despair.
It kind of reminds me of Crocodile's laugh, heh. (And now I want to hear The Patient One, as Cross, singing some chill song on the style of The Sand Blues).
(In a slightly unrelated note, on my last post I said that I was planning to write a thing. Well, I ended up procrastinating. I hopefully will manage to gather the strength to do it before the weekend. It's not a Omake, but I hope you guys will enjoy).
