No, what I meant was allusions to Shangchi and the like. I want to involve the Sorceror Supreme stuff, and more of the Eastern stuff, but want at least some hints in these movies. However, we'll just have to see how it goes.
[X] Plan: Sif Gift and Kree
-[X] [Mid-Credit] Add the scene with Lady Sif hiding a glowing object deep within an old church in the past.
-[X] [Post-Credit] We find an injured Loki being brought shackled before a Kree general, he responds jovially introducing himself as "Loki god of Mischief, your new friend." only for the general to signal a guard to put Loki in his place, as they do the image fades into nothing revealing itself as an illusion, and the camera races back towards the Kree general a dagger at his throat and a pristine Loki behind him, "Are we not all friends here? Should we not talk about a partnership?" The Kree general laughs at the spectacle, "Perhaps you will be helpful after all."
-[X] [Reshoot] Reshoot to improve a roll.
--[X] Vladimir Kulich's Screen Presence as Heimdall
-[X] [Reshoot] Reshoot to improve a roll.
--[X] Jason Mamoa's Screen Presence as Thor
-[X] [Reshoot] Intense Focus on a single roll (+10).
--[X] Jason Mamoa's Higher Screen Presence as Thor
Tatiana Maslany Negotiation: Autopass
Tom Ellis Negotiations: Autopass
Jason Momoa Screen Presence: 102 (Reroll) + 10 (Intense Focus) = 112
The Best part about the production wrapping up so fast is that there was hardly a need to negotiate with the cast for reshoots. They had all expected it to last longer so they didn't have any pressing issues or any scheduling conflicts for this month. Add to that Tom's friendship and Jason felt more than ready to finally prove to one and all who the God of Thunder truly was.
And the results were beyond anyone's expectations.
You'd said before how Gal Gadot's performance had convinced you she was born for her role. Well, Jason's new take blows hers out of the water completely. His Thor is charismatic, a warrior born, a man who seeks glory without fully understanding the consequences, he laughs, broods, sympathizes, and it's all so...him.
For a moment the actor disappeared, and Thor, the God of Thunder came to life in front of you.
You wish you could say the same about Vladimir as well. He did some improvement but his performance didn't seem to improve overall. At least it's no longer so wooden, but at best Heimdall looks more like he's daydreaming. And the lines delivery is so flat that you wonder how this guy ever got to be an actor. Heck, who knows, perhaps he just can't get into the mindset of an ages long God whose main purpose is to guard a single spot for all of eternity.
...You can't just catch a break, can't you?
Jesus. At least the filming for the Post and mid-Credit scenes went well. With Gal Gadot's filming going smoothly, though unfortunately the Post-Credit scene did run into trouble. Mainly that it was a bit long for what they expected to be something less than a minute. James figured out a solution by taking out the unnecessary parts, even if it reduced Tom to just a single line.
A single spaceship is seen from outside before the scene changes to a couple of guards dragging a prisoner to the Control Room. The camera is following from behind as they approach a blue skin humanoid who clearly outranks them.
Guard 1: Sir! We found the intruder.
The superior officer (a Captain) looks at them, then at the intruder.
Captain: In the name of the Kree Empire, I command you name yourself!
Camera zooms to the prisoner's face, now revealed to be Loki, as he smiles.
Loki: I'm your new best friend.
It'll do.
Marvel would prefer if you release this film within what's left of the year.

Well, if the rolls for that part of it go well. Shame that Loki was merely good and not great. But as long as there are hints of that complicated motive, we can bring it out in future shoots. And it sounds like a very fun character overall so.
I think its good to release, I will say I'm not against maybe recasting Heimdall in the future, but while they are bad they will not break the movie, and well that was a great roll for Mamoa.
So its October in world, so I'd either want to release it before November 6 or about a week afterward because I don't want to be competing with "The Men Who Stare at Goats"
... Though I guess that is R, so like maybe it wouldn't be too bad.
It's October right now. Does that mean if we negotiate for 3 more rerolls, it will be November and we have to release in December? Or can we release in November. (Or October without reshoot) @overmind
[X] Plan: Reshoot one more time then release
-[X] [Reshoot] Reshoot to improve a roll.
--[X] Reroll what result? (Vladimir Kulick's Screen Pressence, if this somehow rolls less than 30, take the 30 screen pressence stuff)
---[X] [Reshoot] No reshoot. Greenlight to release.
----[X] [Reshoot] When: November 5

Which would be...? The two weeks is the best specific time frame I got. That should be enough time to get editing done, and release promotion stuff done with.
I want the reshoot then release of the film. But things take time to put together, so I won't say "now" at the end.

If you take 3 more reshoots (or even just 1) then it will be November, and you can release in November. (Though considering who you're up against in that month and the next...).
October 16th seems reasonable, not super rushing everything, and hitting with movie with horror elements in October while not fighting with anything all that concerning doesn't seem too bad.
Alternatively going for the 23rd could work, yeah Fantastic Mister Fox, Cirque deFreak, and Saw 6 are also there but its nothing like waiting until November for "Men Who Stare at Goats" or "2012."
I don't know if its better to have no real competition (16th) or some but weaker competition (23rd) is better, my brain says the first, but maybe because net more movies are making money more people have reason to go at once so the latter is wiser.
I like November 5. November 11 might hit a bit close to a raw wound, but November 5th is a sweet spot for a horror director branching out into a superhero film. With a theme of endless fighting is not a life at all.
