There is no emotion... (A Jedi Order Quest)

Research Results+Recruitment+Mira Debrriefing 3946 Q2
Plan Ossus and Armor
-Ossus (12/15) (3 points)
-Armored Warfare (0/10) (10 points)
-Personal Attention (0/20) (1 point)
-Holocron of Arca Jeth (2/3)

You are Mical, the Disciple, and from beyond the grave one of the greatest Jedi to ever live speaks to you through his holocron. You recieve the last of his knowledge; methods to avoid falls to the Dark Side, his philosophical musings, and more.

(+60 Knowledge, +10 Personal Attention, +5 Force Combat II, +5 to Infrastructure Doctrine once chosen)

And you can barely listen to that as Mira and her group speak to you, telling you all that has transpired. The Ring, the massive construction that Czerka found, is essentially a giant hyperspace cannon, crafted by unknown hands.

Its purpose, they now know, is to transport ships far; and it does do so. All the way to the opposite side of the galaxy in fact, deep, deep into the Unknown Regions. Where Czerka found the Unified Countries of Azil, a people of less advanced technology; they had not even designed shields by the time Czerka made first contact. The Board of Directors wanted to use the advanced technologies at their disposal as well as Sith surplus to conquer, exploit, and colonize that people.

Resistance however was fierce, led by the OWSC, or One World Star Corp. Aided by their supersoldiers, the Companions, they fought with a bloody, grim-minded determination against the invaders, striking terrible and true blows.

And of course, at home, the Republic investigated. Czerka tried to assassinate these investigators to scare them off the trail, but by then the Jedi had returned; and so...this. She returned to warn the Republic, to tell them what had happened.

A more full description is being transcribed as you speak, but that is the basic story so far.

On a different note, a number of recruits have arrived; as well, Zez has been properly initiated as a Jedi Consular by Grandmaster Bao-Dur in the field, and a few other of the Padawans have also been moved on, as well as themselves taking on Padawans, namely that class of potentiates you recruited after Brianna's special sessions with Arren Kae's Holocron.

(+11 Initiates, +4 Padawans, +7 Jedi Knights (3 Sentinels, 2 Consulars, and 2 Guardians); -6 Padawans, -4 Initiates)

I'm gonna get the front page up to date soonish, so next update might be a while.

As an aside, I sort of feel like I forgot something, and it might be important, so if you see anything...like, tell me, I guess?

Mission Report 3946 BBY Q3
Mission 1 (Knight Kador Shirot, Padawan Sorda, The Core)
-Knight Kador-
We have the Shipyard manifest; now we just need to actually deal with the yards themselves.

We're not capturing them, the risk really isn't worth it. No...we're destroying them.

Once we find some fighters to take them out, anyway. But I think I know a guy, or two.

Mission 2 (Knight Breda Sunguard, Padawan Atris, Master Juhani, 1 Padawan, Mid-Rim)
-Knight Breda-

There are reports coming in from around the Mid-Rim of the Sith Vessel trying to attack trade convoys and going pirate; heading straight here, to resupply.

How fortunate we all are then, that we are ready.

Mission 3 (Bao-Dur, Bastila, 3 Padawans, Outer Rim)
-Grandmaster Bao-Dur-
The Ysanna have proven fascinating. The descendants of those Jedi who fled beneath the mountains, they are universally Force Sensitive; a result, perhaps, of the Sith Alchemy involved in the nova's creation? Or of being, well, universally descended from Jedi? That sort of metaphysical weight is hard to ignore.

They would like to reconnect with us. I am currently attempting to negotiate; and reopen communications with Dantooine. They say there is a small transmitter that survived the Nova; I believe I can repair it.

Mission 4 (Brianna and Ossin, Colonies)
-Knight Ossin-

The Ring is currently dominated by Czerka forces; their larger ships.

Fortunately, I happen to have a fleet.

[Mandalorian Accented Voice] "You have a fleet?"

Oh for the love of-

There is a friendly fleet in the area. We are going to move to take the Ring and the orbitals, and finally end this destructive conflict.
--
Mission 1 (Knight Kador Shirot, Padawan Sorda, The Core)
-Knight Kador-
Captain Ahjers can get me a face to face meeting with General Donores, the head of the Star Fighter Corps. in the sector. After that though, it's all up to me.

May the Force, be with us.
--
Mission 2 (Knight Breda Sunguard, Padawan Atris, Master Juhani, 1 Padawan, Mid-Rim)
-Knight Breda-

Mindefields are set in every possible attack vector. Fortified pillboxes stand vigilant over every possible landing zone, while trenches scar the land. Three Hammerheads and complements wait for war, as down below a whole Corps of soldiers waits for revenge.

This is not the first time Kalapoli has faced down a Sith attack; it will not be the last.

Meanwhile, we Jedi take up position, waiting for the end, one way or another.
--
Mission 3 (Bao-Dur, Bastila, 3 Padawans, Outer Rim)
-Grandmaster Bao-Dur-
It has been...nice. To have silent thoughts, for once. This place, it breeds peace.

As I walk through valleys that once homed thousands, as I see the ashes of world burned in solar fire, I am forced to consider whether repairing it, or leaving it as a monument would be the more ethical action.
--
Mission 4 (Brianna and Ossin, Colonies)
-Knight Ossin-
Czerka fighters swarm as thick as stars around what I can only call Battleships; corporate built, so no doubt corners have been cut, but they are the same size as a Derriphan class. Three of them form a U, presenting turrets and broadsides to our force.

And we do have a force: old Terochs and Shaadlars, around a handful of Q-Carriers, both old.

It's gonna be a hell of a show for anybody watching, I can tell you that much.

Master Brianna will be preforming Battle Meditation; I will be on one of the fighters.

If I die, tell Jerron he doesn't get my lightsaber, will you?
--
Mission 1 (Knight Kador Shirot, Padawan Sorda, The Core)
-Knight Kador-

I've done it! The General is a jackass, bluntly telling me he thought the Galaxy was better off when we Force users were all dead; but in the end I persuaded to dispatch half the squadrons in the sector with me on a mission to blow that shipyard to hell.

Now to see it done.
(Reward: Gain aid of Republic vessels in bombing run, +5 PP)

Mission 2 (Knight Breda Sunguard, Padawan Atris, Master Juhani, 1 Padawan, Mid-Rim)
-Knight Breda-
Good news, then bad news.

We won.

Up above, the Republic's fleet engaged with the Warship and her fighters, dozens of the smaller vessels tossed aside as minesweepers in the most suicidal fashion. Even from here I could feel the Sith's presence; it was palpable, a dark, probing thing that attempted to shatter my resolve like so much glass. With effort we Jedi managed to ward it off; if we hadn't been here, though...

As that was happening, Sith troopships disgorged from the Vessel, carrying thousands of troopers, even as AA guns set up by general Yro cut through them like the scythe through the field. They just kept coming, even as hundreds died; until finally they reached landing zones.

Pillboxes, trenches, and hidden firing position in the trees spat death, as minefields herded them.

They just kept coming.

Bodies fell so thick they could be used as cover.

They just kept coming.

The first defensive line was broken under a tidal wave of broken meat and spilled blood, as Republic forces withdrew.

And then we entered the field.

Atris was...Atris proved she has not forgotten her Echani heritage. She dispatched at least five of the assassins, one without even using her lightsaber. Juhani was only a little less so, managing to toss a grenade into one of their tanks after slicing open a crew compartment with her lightsaber.

In comparison I did little, only helping aim artillery where it would be most effective, accompanied by my Padawan.

We were the Force's instruments; they could not break us, not for love nor money.

In the skies above, Admiral Onasi's men managed to tear the thing, destroying the warship.

But that is where the bad news comes into play.

We detected a small ship jumping into Hyperspace, headed for the Outer Rim.

Headed for Dantooine.

Evacuate the Padawans, ready the defenses; Darth Axa is coming.

(Reward: +20 PP, -5 Czerka Morale)
--
Mission 3 (Bao-Dur, Bastila, 3 Padawans, Outer Rim)
-Grandmaster Bao-Dur-

I've done it. The transmitter is repaired; further, and quite helpfully, it is hardwired to the Dantooine Praxeum.

The Ysanna have rejoined the galactic community; and Ossus is open once more.

(Reward: Gain Ossus Enclave, 100/300 towards Praxeum)
--
Mission 4 (Brianna and Ossin, Colonies)
-Master Brianna-

We have won. The Ring is ours, for whatever that is worth; the Mandalorians fought like Lions.

Ossin survived as well. Currently he and the Mandalorian are carrying on as...well, how do you expect a Mandalorian to carry on after a fight, really?

Now the Republic only just needs to dispatch some forces through the Ring itself, and perhaps we can get to the work of rebuilding.

Of preparing.

Dantooine Attack
You are Pal.

Up until two or so years ago, you were a beggar on Nar Shaddaa, one of infinite bits of filth trapped in that cesspit. With only just a family secret and a handful of credits.

Now you are staring down some really pale, stringy-haired witch, all covered in black robes. There is nothing in her. Only the black ice of hate, and of rage, a slimy, miasmatic mist that covers her heart, her soul. Whatever she once was is lost, all covered up under her rage.

Even from a thousand feet away you can feel it, a dark presence; you'd hate to imagine what the Council and the knights must be feeling.

Mira, Visas, they're both recovering in the medbays. The Republic soldiers, they're guiding initiates to the safe rooms, along with Padawans.

And you can already tell, nobody is going to be ready in time.

Or at least, you're pretty sure. The plans were surprisingly complex, really.

Nobody on Nar Shadda would have been ready with so little time, anyway. Especially not with the thick rain that falls down like a thousand little knives.

And so you enter your current situation. Looking at the last of the Sith through the scope of a blaster, emptying your breathing, staring her down.

One heartbeat.

Two heartbeats.

Three.

You fire, and a hunting bolt bursts into red life.

It streaks through the air like lightning, zooming, unstoppably, towards a grim finale.

A moment later your senses scream and you roll away, only for the read bolt to slam where the dirt had been, lighting the grass on fire and leaving a smell of ozone.

You move and snap shots in her general direction as you do, even as she moves faster than any human has any right to. She chews through the distance like a starship, coming closer and closer, thick black robes falling all around, molding her into the shadows. It makes hitting her near impossible.

Not that there was ever much chance of that anyway; even the stuff on the right course gets blasted away with the Force, sent whizzing into the ground, or screaming towards you, or something else stupid like.

As she gets closer she varies up her attacks; distantly it occurs to you the only reason she's doing this is so she can toy with her prey. Feeling you die might do them harm.

A rock the size and general shape of a bantha slams down near you. An airspeeder left as the people of Khoonda fled goes sailing overhead, misses you; but the explosion knocks you to the ground.

By the time the world stops being just a smear of light and color and sound, she is standing over you.

Her red lightsaber is lit, high over her head.

You close your eyes.

You hear the hum, and wait for a hot death.

You wait.

And you wait.

And you wait some more.

Finally deciding if you haven't died yet, you probably won't die in the immediate future, you open your eyes.

There is a purple lightsaber, grasped in a single hand, that stops her blade.

You follow it up, only to see Atton, standing, whole once more, all four limbs attached.

"Master Rand."

"Allaxa."

"Come to gloat?"

"You're not worth it."

And with that the two enter battle, their lightsabers moving as extensions of themselves. Atton moves like a flowing river, attacks constantly flowing from one, to the other, to the last, until the cycle begins again, all smooth flourish. Haxa by contrast is like a staccato rhythm of blaster bolts, attacking from a thousand directions at once.

Attton draws first blood, feints and manages to open a nasty cut from just under her nose to her jaw. She screams and with a mighty, thunderous revenge chops into his stolen trooper's uniform, shattering his armor like so much glass.

He steps back, bare chest exposed (And you learning some thing about yourself). "What's a matter, no lightning? You sure didn't mind using it on me the first time you caught me trying to desert!"

"I should have used more!" Sickly bolts of blue energy begin to flow up and down her arms, sending bolts of pure hate arcing into the ground, killing yet more grass. Force, she is an ecological disaster zone, isn't she?

A fork of energy strikes out, hunting for his heart. Ancient Sith sorceries, horrendous magics, and contemptible powers that could smite down a starship lash out.

He catches it in one hand, brings it close, and dissipates it, letting the fury flow back into the Force.

Her golden eyes go wide as saucers, all new wounds opened up.

Atton takes up his lightsaber.

She takes up hers.

They race at eachother, the Force imbuing them.

They clash. A blur of black and blue as they roll on the ground, Atton grappling with her, Haxa grappling with him. They claw and bits and cut and stab at eachother; but finally Atton manages to jam a thumb into her eye, and with that distraction, puts the lightsaber through her lungs.

She gasps, once.

And then whatever was in her rustles as it leaves.

Atton falls to the ground, exhausted.

You never got up in the first place, and to be quite honest you are still too shaky from adrenaline to do it now.

"Master?"

He looks over at you, and for a moment it's just you, and him, and the storm, and he slumps as though he is the most tiredest man in the galaxy.

"Yes?"

"Are you...alright?"

He looks at the corpse he is next to, and has a look that seems to toddle between satisfied and sorrow. "Not really, no."

"Oh good, because I'm not either." You look down at the mud, before looking at him and speaking again.

"Master?"

"Hm?"

"Next time, you can be the bait."

"If it's your Psycho we need to draw out so you can deal with them, kid, sure."

"Thank you, master."

(Atton Rand revealed as Recovered, and back in action!

Darth Haxa dealt with!

+15 PP)
--
So, there's the miniboss dealt with. Now on to Czerka.

(So I had planned for a bit more votey stuff for this, but then I realized I needed to roll for Atton's recovery and low and behold, he was back to fighting trim. So I decided to do something real cool. Hopefully.)

Strategic coordination 3946 BBY Q3
Strategic Coordination

The ship extends into the distance, massive weapon culminating in a prow-mounted exit port. Sensor modules feed gunners the most up to the date information possible. Massive coolant chambers regulate internal temperature, keep the necessary equipment from overheating until it explodes.

It looks like a giant blaster, to be honest.

You are Bao-Dur, and you are currently staring down not just the Chancellor; but also Admiral Onasi; the Minister of War, Val Diraz; and a plethora of other, minor figures, watching as Mira delivers the report of a lifetime.

"This is the Obelisk of Iarna class cruiser. It is the pride of the Azil fleet, their greatest achievement. They have three, the only vessels in the fleet with sustained killcounts against Czerka forces."

Another image, showing the smooth, Imperial born lines of the Czerka vessels. "This is the Interdictor Class cruiser of the Czerka Corporation. Stolen after the defeat of Darth Revan. They had twelve, according to information gathered by the Star Corp. A single one managed to decimate an entire Azil flotilla. As of the last record, three had been destroyed by sacrificing entire fleets.

What I am saying is that they need our help. Your help."

Good news wars with bad news in your mind.

The good news, of course, is that in the Republic proper Czerka forces have simply...evaporated. Mercenaries turn on employers, corporate animals flee to the safety of prison and turn informants; those who continue to resist are all caught up, pinned down, and torn apart by a mix of the Republic's military, the militia, law enforcement; and the Jedi.

(+30 PP, +5 Engagement)

The bad news is that the Czerka forces attempting to conquer the Azil have gone fully piratical, and are ignoring stand down orders as is from the Board of Directors.

Supreme Chancellor Dara sticks her fingers to her chin and begins to think. "Admiral Onasi. Minister Diraz. If we send them aid, what can we send without risking rebuilding efforts?"

"I can produce a big enough force to deal with anything they can pull now that the Sith's dealt with, madam Chancellor."

The Minister looks thoughtful. "I have a few regiments and division to toss around, but it might slow down rebuilding. And of course, I'd need a way to get them there."

"Don't you worry about that." A blue skinned Twi'lek speaks up for the first time. "I gotcha covered."

The Chancellor nods, once. "Thank you, everyone. But I need to speak in private, now, with the Master Jedi."

They funnel out, leaving only the Council and her. A show of faith.

"Master Dur. The negotiation ability of the Jedi is legendary, matched only by their skill at war. I'm hoping having so many ships all at once will scare the Mercenaries into surrender; if not then overwhelming force to minimize casualties. I hate to have to ask for so much from your Order again, but your aid might be the difference between life and death for many. Can you offer anything?"

[]No

[]Yes: (Write-In assets to be deployed. Masters and knights cannot be outnumbered by Padawans. Cannot send Initiates)

Mission Report 3946 BBY Q4
Dozens of cruisers are streaking in from disparate sectors as Admiral Onasi makes the call. Fighters are called up, docked, and await travel as the fleet gathers. It will take a week for them all to arrive; a week you do not have, if you are to reassert peace and prosperity in the Republic with any alacrity.

"Master Bao-Dur!" Pivoting on your heel, you see Mical and Brianna leading up the Jedi team; and next to them is Zez. They wear a mix of Dantooine and Coruscant robes as they get ready to part, an interesting visual effect.

Zez steps before you, clad in his simple brown robes, and bows; you follow suit.

"Master! It will be odd to work without you, you know."

"I do not doubt you are fit for the task, Zez. Keep Atris honest, won't you?" She gives you a sharp look, but considering she almost killed a whole planet through her arrogance and tried to kill a friend, you don't particularly care.

"Yes, Master. Try not to let Atton blow himself up, won't you?"

"Hey!"

"Of course."

He turns away, but before they all walk off, he looks back over his shoulder. "May the Force, be with you."

"And with you."

And like that the two of you are parted.

Mission 1 (Knight Kador Shirot, Padawan Sorda, The Core)
-Knight Kador-

We might not need to destroy the Czerka shipyards anymore, but they sure do still need to be secured before somebody takes them back over. To that end, myself and the fighter squadrons I have put together will be sortieing out to, well, secure them.
--
Mission 2 (Knight Breda Sunguard, Master Juhani, 1 Padawan, Mid-Rim)
-Master Juhani-

As the Republic, essentially, disassembles Czerka's infrastructure, it is gathering plenty of good and useful material and goods that could be turned to the Enclaves and Praxeums which we are now constructing.

In particular, there is a small hydrostation originally used for a hidden Czerka base in the Kahless Asteroid Field. It should be quite useful for the inhabitants of Ossus.
--
Mission 3 (Bao-Dur, Bastila, 2 Padawans)
-Grandmaster Bao-Dur-

It occurred to me, as I finished recording the last information in my task log, that rather than I angsting over whether or not to restore the planet to its pre-nova status, asking the native Ysanna what they wish would be the better option.

After all, if I and the other Jedi have some claim through shared status to the world, then theirs is the greater as heirs to the Jedi who first lived, breathed, and and ultimately, were trapped here.

To that end I will be traveling to each of the Ysanna settlements, built in the old Arcologies, to establish holotransmitters so that a vote and debate may be held.
--
Mission 4 (Three Jedi Guardians, Colonies)
-Knight Varna Allar-

Right, log, log, log...

With Czerka's forces in the area falling apart apace, there isn't much to talk about really. Which is good because we're still getting settled in.

However, we have received reports of a Jedi vessel from, at best estimate, the Mandalorian Wars. I have taken the liberty of chartering a small freighter so that we can go check it out.
--
Mission 1 (Knight Kador Shirot, Padawan Sorda, The Core)
-Knight Kador-

I'm not exactly a fancy flier, but nobody really wants to meddle about with a whole squadron of Republic fighters. The Shipyards are likely either going to the local planetary governments (Alderaan has mentioned interest) or else they will be melted down for the raw resources. Either way, a fitting end.
(+10 PP)
--
Mission 2 (Knight Breda Sunguard, Master Juhani, 2 Padawan, Mid-Rim)
-Master Juhani-

We are not the only ones attempting to acquire this Czerka material. A number of corporations and colonial ventures are also envious of the abandoned infrastructure; the Republic, of course, is more interested in tossing up Czerka's body on a silver platter to fatten up loyal businesses and make sure they never get back up than it is rewarding the Jedi, but I do still think we can win this little war of word and credit.

In any case, that is what we are going to try.
--
Mission 3 (Bao-Dur, Bastila, 2 Padawans)
-Grandmaster Bao-Dur-

I have rebuffed seventeen offered adoptions, three proposed marriages, and a number of small predators, with the help of Bastila and our Padawans, who are meeting the matter with all the dignity I could ever expect of Jedi.

I have two of the three transmitters prepared; now to finish the last.
--
Mission 4 (Two Jedi Guardians, Colonies)
-Knight Varna Allar-

That's no Mandalorian War vessel.

From a distance it looked, perhaps, like so, but in truth it is a far more old vessel, at least dating back to the Great Sith War if not further. Its ancient, almost bulbous construction has clearly seen better days, but then so has the Order.

It was, however, a Jedi vessel; of that, there can be no doubt. I sense something powerful aboard, something mighty.

I'm going aboard, and you [Sounds of boots on metal] are coming with me.
--
Mission 2 (Knight Breda Sunguard, Master Juhani, 1 Padawan, Mid-Rim)
-Master Juhani-

Dipping into my portion of the credits earned by Revan and his party as we won the Dark Wars, we managed to grab the Hyrdrostation, as well as a number of power converters and blueprints that should be helpful on Dantooine, Telos, and Ossus.
(+15 On all facilities)
--
Mission 3 (Bao-Dur, Bastila, 2 Padawans)
-Grandmaster Bao-Dur-
They're ugly, but they work. The people of Ossus will be holding a referendum to decide its fate, whether to bear the scars of Exar Kun or to return to the pre-Kun era.
--
Mission 4 (Two Jedi Guardians, Colonies)
-Knight Varna Allar-

There were all manner of traps and tricks on the station, but in the end, following the Force (and taking a few blows) we managed to find the captain's quarters.

It was the flagship of Master Val Benwill, an old Jedi Master, during the Great Hyperspace War. A Jedi Sentinel, we found a number of relics among his things, as well as journals, recordings, and so on; more importantly, we found a holocron.

When I opened it, I discovered it belonged to Master Garon Jard.

Naturally, I have informed the Telos facility to prepare to maintain it.
(+25 Knowledge, Holocron of Garon Jard)

Negotiation Results 3946 BBY Q4+ People
[X] Plan: Building up for the Sith
-[X] Send a Jedi with a Republic archeological expedition(15 PP)
-[X] Reestablish Jedi Scoutmaster (Head of recruitment) (50 PP)
-[X] Attend Czerka Asset Auction (20 PP)
-[X] Back The Vara-Wall Bill in the Senate (Proposes the formation of three new Special Activity Centers, IE fortresses+shipyards, along the Perlemian Way Trade Route) (+15 PP if passes, -15 if failed)
-[X] Back the Ashes of War Act (Pushes up colonization of Taris)(+30 if passes, -45 if fail)
-[X] Make friends with Senators (25 PP) (Gain more information on potential bills and acts)

-Send a Jedi with a Republic archeological expedition(15 PP)

- Jedi Knight Garna Val is dispatched to the Pyzkal system, formerly a fortress of the Legions of Lettow. There were a number of stolen Jedi artifacts, including ancient scrolls describing Pre-Jedi Force use among the Mon-Cala people.
--
-Reestablish Jedi Scoutmaster (Head of recruitment)

While the most obvious and outward facing duty of the Scoutmaster is recruitment, they are also, by your understanding, responsible for the finding and colonization of potential enclave worlds; at least, the two duties often overlap.

Therefore, the candidate you choose needs to be reasonably friendly with a number of Republic officials, a task you set to with aplomb.
--
-Attend Czerka Asset Auction

- You pay particular attention to the potentially useful for colonization and development assets which Czerka kept: shield generators, moisture vaporators, construction droids and so on.

By the end of the auction, you've grabbed enough infrastructure to leave Telos at about the same point Dantooine was at before the planned expansions there. There are also a few starcharts, and a single, pyramid, holocron.

Not an encouraging note.

(+16 Telos, +18 Dantooine, +9 Ossus)
--
-Back The Vara-Wall Bill in the Senate (Proposes the formation of three new Special Activity Centers, IE fortresses+shipyards, along the Perlemian Way Trade Route)

-Esseles, Jarcelles, and Roche are to be the new sites of these Special Activity Centers, after a surprisingly fierce and close debate and vote.
(+15 PP)

--
- Back the Ashes of War Act (Pushes up colonization of Taris)

Now, everyone in the Republic wants to reclaim Taris. It is a symbol of Republic might, and the ability and willingness to rebuild everything the Sith destroy.

The problem, and what has kept the various bills, acts, and so on from ever going anywhere, are the two distinct camps that want to recolonize Taris: one that wants to rebuild Tarisian society exactly as it was before Malak went to town on the planet with his orbital fury, and everybody else, who got the short end of the stick. The Ashes of War Act is, pointedly, aimed at aiding the aliens, refugees, and poor who want to rebuild a better society on the ashes of the old, because they represent exactly what is best in the Republic.

Namely, you promised your help as a scientist and engineer to the recolonization efforts if they were carried out in that matter: designing shields, recreating the Rakghoul vaccine from the few sparse samples Revan turned back into the Republic after defeating Malak, that sort of thing.

That, plus the promises of Jedi to help maintain order, clinch it, and the bill finally passes.

(+30 PP next turn)
--
Make friends with Senators

-The good in the galaxy needs to clump together.

You offer your protection to a number of senators from potential Czerka reprisals, or mad assassins, or...well, you get the idea.

This will let you gather much more information about legislation before it passes, and if there is one you think is wise, perhaps to throw your weight behind it?
(Gain more information on potential legislation)

Keypoints of the Senatorial Briefing of Jedi Councilor Mira

- Domo of Azil in the dominant language of the dominant cultural group, but extremely varied and prone to diversity
- Nearhuman species, mostly differentiated by extremely integrated technology compared to the galactic average, extreme variation in hair color, and size, as well as internal organ structure.
- Pre-Contact with Czerka invaders, embroiled in insurrectionist Civil War between outlying colonies and their technological aristocracy and the central government over issues with Bio-Integrated Droids, which used scans of ranking figures to create incredibly advanced but very doomed Droids
-In all, this was a double edged sword for the Czerka mercenaries and their forces: on the one hand, plenty of Domo infrastructure was destroyed in the war, leaving them weak; but on the other hand, they had a veteran, skilled force; more importantly, they had the Companions.
- The Companions are a fully-volunteer Special Forces infantry group, given incredible enhancements both technological and and biological as well as the most advanced training; for the Domo, they were the saviors of the war.

A bit more information on the new guys. I realize it's a bit sloppy of a presentation, but bluntly, I couldn't think of anything better.

Jedi Scoutmaster Vote
Jedi Scoutmaster

In the new, slowly rebuilding Order, there are a few potential candidates for Jedi Scoutmaster that immediately come to mind:

[] Bastila Shan

She has maintained a personal interest in all matters archaeological, including but not limited to old, abandoned Jedi temples and outposts that might be suitable for recolonization.

(Small bonus towards chance of discovering colonizable worlds)

[] Visas Marr

A hunter of echoes; and of things that might become, echoes. She will guide explorers of the galaxy towards species of...weight.

(Small bonus towards making first contact)

[] Mira

Someone who finds people; she will be a great aid in recruiting new Initiates to the Order.

(Small bonus towards recruiting new initiates on missions.)

[] Write-In

One of the other councilors can fulfill this position.
(May vote for any member of the council to fulfill this office, as long as they are not already appointed to one. This eliminates Atton, Bao-Dur, and Mical)

Jedi Order Patrol Routes 3945 BBY
It's a good day.

Czerka is dead.

Their power is shattered.

The galaxy will be free; and now you can work to rebuild the Galaxy.

Of course, there is still the slight issue of the Domo, and of the mercenaries; but for the first time in a long time you feel...hopeful.

Available Jedi:

14 Padawans
3 Jedi Guardians
4 Jedi Sentinels
Councilor Bastila Shan (Combat 4 Wisdom 4 Skill 3 Diplomacy 3 Vigilance 3 Vitality 3)
Councilor Juhani (Combat 6 Wisdom 3 Skill 1 Diplomacy 3 Vigilance 2 Vitality 5)
Grandmaster Bao-Dur (Combat 6, Wisdom 4, Skill 4, Diplomacy 5 Vigilance 2, Vitality 5)
Councilor Atton Rand (Combat 4, Wisdom 3, Skill 3, Diplomacy 3, Vigilance 4, Vitality 3)
Councilor Visas Marr (Combat 5, Wisdom 3, Skill 3, Diplomacy 1, Vigilance 4, Vitality 3)
Councilor Mira (Combat 3, Wisdom 4, Skill 4, Diplomacy 3, Vigilance 4, Vitality 3)

[] The Core: To be honest, this is likely the safest part of the Galaxy. You'd be surprised if anything more threatening than a few gangsters show up here anytime soon, and not very threatening ones either. Still, whatever does happen here, the entire galaxy knows about it, so if you just want to fly the flag, so to speak, this would be a good place for it.
([] Assign Jedi to patrol, needs 4 Vigilance)

[] The Mid-Rim: Wealthier than the Outer Rim, but without the commiserate military force, a surprising amount of Jedi patrols have always been focused here, being pirate bait and all. This is likely where combat, if it takes place, will take place. Sending some real muscle out here would be a wise plan.
([] Assign Jedi to patrol, needs 6 Vigilance)

[] The Outer Rim: A sparsely populated collection of agri worlds, you don't see too much trouble coming here, if it weren't for the Mandalorians. On the other hand, this is likely to be where the majority of your apprentices come from for the time being, so perhaps those more in tune with the Force would be a wise plan.
([] Assign Jedi to patrol, needs 2 Vigilance)

[] The Colonies: A wealthy, industrialized part of the Mid-Rim, they are a usually safe area, not often requiring much work. Now that the war with Czerka is over, you can feel relatively secure in this.
([] Assign Jedi to Patrol, needs 1 Vigilance)

(Any Jedi not assigned will both protect facilities they are at and will be capable of responding to rolled events on facilities)
