Meetra's Notes: Long before she was a general, a warrior, an Exile, Meetra Surik was a Jedi Recruiter, looking for new members of the Order. Her work is a solid foundation, certainly better than your ad hoc attempts to gather together new Jedi. (Double recruitment dice from 1d5 to 1d10.) (20/20)

-Meetra's notes expand a hundred situations, everything from convincing elders, twenty and thirty years olds, to give up the plain life of the galaxy and the join the Order; to conversations with parents, offering true assurances of their health and safety even in the face of the threat of Sith (that last one being a common and particular sticking point); to towards the end, rounding up recruits to join the Revanchists, before they attempted to conquer the galaxy that is. All such points are digested and considered and taken into account, and the wisdom of your master becomes apparent, as she not only offers her own experience but also cites other luminaries within the field. While a distressing number of those records have been destroyed, many also have not, and all in a all a more professional, experienced, and worthwhile system for recruiting Jedi is formed from the ashes.

(Recruitment dice doubled from 1d5->1d10)

The Weapon of the Enemy: A crummy blaster and bad attitude are no match for the Force at your side, Padawan. (+1 to checks against ranged enemies) (20/20)

Blasters are roundly overrated by just about every tough in the galaxy. "Old religions and a laser sword are no match for a good blaster," they claim to every bright-eyed farm brat, "not in this galaxy." Which, of course, is why the Mandalorians, drawn up in their millions, managed to defeat thousands of Jedi, right? Right? Why that would make sense, wouldn't it? Except no, of course not. A blaster is a clumsy, stupid, loud thing, barely fit to be called a weapon and if nothing else you will beat that into your students' heads; as well, of course, as how to defeat them. Not that hard a thing, when your weapons reflect them and you can see the future.

(+1 to checks against Blaster wielding foes)

Holocron of Arren Kae

"...And in the age of Odan-Urr, he set down these words. Nonsense, much of it; but if you must turn only towards the higher mysteries, and ignore the workings of this world of sinew and flesh, there are worse places to start..."

(+5 to Basic Archives)

Kreia you are talking mad shit against a Jedi who did more for the galaxy than your miserable scheming ever did. :V

Mission Report 3941 BBY Q3

Mission 1 (The Core, 4 Padawans, 2 Jedi Sentinels, 1 Jedi Guardian, 1 Jedi Consular)

-Councilor Breda Sunguard-

Somebody is murdering senators, secretaries, functionaries, and high ranking members of the military--all the figures funneling support to the Rebellion in Hutt Space. Which, of course, screams Hutt Cartels; except, except that it is entirely wrong. If it were the Hutts, you'd expect bombs in speeders, sniper fire, muggings gone wrong, and just plain disappearances. Instead they've been found their bodies left desicated husks in locked studies, bedrooms, bathrooms, with no forensic evidence whatsoever and the Hutts; the Hutts aren't that good, and neither are the lowest common denominator guns for hire they'd revert to sooner or later. But there is a group that good in the galaxy.

You can ask Atton all about them.

(Atton NB: Rude. But she's not wrong)

Mission 2 (The Inner Rim, 8 Padawans, 6 Jedi Sentinels, 6 Jedi Guardians, 4 Jedi Consulars, Councilor Brianna)
-Councilor Brianna-

There is a puzzle wrapped in an enigma slapped behind a riddle on the world of Alderes, an ancient Jedi hiding place where many ancient records of the Order have been hidden by a private citizen who inherited them after their brother, a Knight of the Order, died on Ossus. While not large, it is fully possible that this archive has material we have not yet recovered from the rest of the galaxy; and even if not, editional differences creeping in over many years and many writers may well mean there is different information in what is nominally the same text. The Biography of Nomi Da Boda looks very different in writing ten years ago than it does twenty years, I can tell you that much for certain.

The riddle itself is a Call:Response drawing on what the proper response for a Jedi should be. Which should be easy, except of course that for all we are Jedi, we have risen only after attempted Genocide; as you might expect that has changed potential responses some. But with trust in the Force, I believe we will prevail.

Mission 3 (The Mid-Rim, 1 Padawan, 3 Jedi Sentinels, 5 Jedi Guardians, 1 Jedi Consular, Councilor Visas Marr)
-Sentinel Morn Val-

Lights are out all throughout the world of Molkos. Yes, there were backups; they got taken out too. Terrorists mad that the schools are integrating aliens took out planetary power generators; right now the only power is, effectively, in hospitals, which had too many back-ups even for those cousin-lovers but then they're powered by, of all things, carbon fuels. While I'd love to see them all arrested right now our bigger issue is getting power flowing again before people start dying.

Mission 4 (The Outer Rim, 3 Padawans, 3 Jedi Sentinels, 1 Jedi Guardian, 3 Jedi Consulars, Councilor Bastila Shan)
-Padawan Miras Byal-

I didn't used to think much of the idea of property crimes; and to an extent, I still don't (lemme tell you, the old gov on Jedha deserved a lot worse than just getting rocks through their windows). But an arsonist on the world of Telos (well okay the habitation module, same thing for the moment) has made me rethink that position somewhat. Because everybody was out of the block for meals so they'll hardly be at risk, it's made of metal so nothing structural should burn, and it was mostly well-to-do folk who had enough investment off world to still be comfortable even after the bombardment, unlike the rest of us.

But I'm still mad.

Clever little bastard has burned away whatever tracks he left but there's always something and with the will of the Force I've found it.

Mission 5 (The Colonies 1 Padawan, 5 Jedi Sentinels, 2 Jedi Guardians, 1 Jedi Consular, Councilor Atton Rand)
-Councilor Atton Rand-

Miserable little-- some little animal on the Holonet decided to dox several dozen activists involved in the caseagainst the government of Lexus Ortal involving Mandalorian war criminals (as in even by Mandalorian standards) who were allowed to run and hide and live out their days as private security there, protecting the government from spooky scary aliens. He thinks he's very clever.

Give me a month, and he will find he is not so.

Addendum

It did not even take a month. (+5 PP)

Mission 6 (The Expansion Region: 4 Padawans, 4 Jedi Sentinels, 4 Jedi Guardians, 1 Jedi Consular, Councilor Juhani)
-Councilor Juhani-

The Mandalorians can run; but they can't hide. The ship they fled on has been spotted in the atmosphere over Amuria, a continent on the planet that is fairly undeveloped. They'll be moving quickly; but I know of no-one who moves Jedi quickly.

Mission 1 (The Core, 4 Padawans, 2 Jedi Sentinels, 1 Jedi Guardian, 1 Jedi Consular)
-Councilor Breda Sunguard-

Recorded on Councilor's Comm Link

Assassin: You keep coming at me Jedi, and I swear I (whistling sound as blaster is waved through the air) am going to flash fry this little coward.

Breda: You do that, and I'll take your damn head off.

A: But he'll die first, and you don't do that do you?

Knight Kal: But I might.

FZZZT-

Mission 2 (The Inner Rim, 8 Padawans, 6 Jedi Sentinels, 6 Jedi Guardians, 4 Jedi Consulars, Councilor Brianna)
-Councilor Brianna-

-
Response I will not kneel to the dark, vengeance response I will be the cool water of mercy, justice response I will bring it with me-

Mission 3 (The Mid-Rim, 1 Padawan, 3 Jedi Sentinels, 5 Jedi Guardians, 1 Jedi Consular, Councilor Visas Marr)
-Sentinel Morn Val-

The generators are still working, it's transmitting the power that's proving more problematic. As the rest try and find all the perpetrators they can I'm stuck working with engineers to try and at least get a temporary fix before everything falls apart. Possibly literally, given all the hover-pads around here. Once we have a design that actually works it should be an easy manufacture, we do still know how to make stuff in the midrim, but that's a lot of power to try and shove through any material. I'm stuck glaring at everything from glazes to wood to alloys trying to make something that works.

Mission 4 (The Outer Rim, 3 Padawans, 3 Jedi Sentinels, 1 Jedi Guardian, 3 Jedi Consulars, Councilor Bastila Shan)
-Padawan Miras Byal-

Well if I don't like the idea of trying to burn down somebody's house I really don't like the idea of shooting at me.

Which, to be clear, he did. But that was a mistake, because Master Shan and the rest were in the crowd watching as it happened. They are currently converging on his position--sorry, comlink just went off, make that her position-- like a pack of angry and hungry rancors.

Kriffin, mom and dad were right I did need friends.

Mission 6 (The Expansion Region: 4 Padawans, 4 Jedi Sentinels, 4 Jedi Guardians, 1 Jedi Consular, Councilor Juhani)
-Councilor Juhani-

Blind, deaf, stupid and brutal. Only a few choice words for the Mandalorian people, delivered by all of their neighbors. I do not think it is some innate thing to them, the Kryz clan has some true honor and seeks ever for a better way, but for the moment that is what their victims will say of them.

We are in position. We have one chance. We will not waste it.

Mission 1 (The Core, 4 Padawans, 2 Jedi Sentinels, 1 Jedi Guardian, 1 Jedi Consular)
-Councilor Breda Sunguard-

Kal is dead. Reached for his lightsaber and the Sith Assassin managed to shoot before he drew.

He did not get to gloat about it. I, we, have done our duty. I am commending him with the highest honors, advising him to the Senatorial Offices, and will personally console his parents.

It's what he deserves.

(+25 PP, -1 Jedi Sentinel)

Mission 2 (The Inner Rim, 8 Padawans, 6 Jedi Sentinels, 6 Jedi Guardians, 4 Jedi Consulars, Councilor Brianna)
-Councilor Brianna-

-Darkness response clarity, emotion response peace, ignorance response knowledge, passion response serenity, chaos response harmony, death response the Force.

-CODE ACCEPTED-

(+15 Knowledge)

Mission 4 (The Outer Rim, 3 Padawans, 3 Jedi Sentinels, 1 Jedi Guardian, 3 Jedi Consulars, Councilor Bastila Shan)
-Padawan Miras Byal-

Caught. No higher goals, no political beliefs, no real inciting cause. Just pyromania and little regard for sapient life not her own.

I believe all people can choose a better path. I hope, for her sake, she does.

(+15 PP)

Mission 6 (The Expansion Region: 4 Padawans, 4 Jedi Sentinels, 4 Jedi Guardians, 1 Jedi Consular, Councilor Juhani)
-Councilor Juhani-

Dead or captured this time. No escapees. They were camped out, waiting for the heat to die down, when a battalion of angry Cathar dropped on their position, along with us. That's bad news, and worse when all their fancy little guns suddenly stopped working--almost like somebody sabotaged them, or something. Not that I'd know anything about that, of course. Some still attempted to fight, but vibroblade and no shield isn't a great combination at the best of times, and hungry, exhausted and sick are not the best of times.

(+25 PP)

Unfortunate that we lost a Jedi, but otherwise a good round of reports.

@Voikirium, question for you that I've been meaning to ask. Will we have a chance to re-establish the Jedi Shadows?

Probably worth taking care to not get Covenant 2.0 though. :V
Cool update, RIP Kal.
The covenant was a good idea in principle but it was twisted into becoming a problem because of how secretive the participants were. That was the problem that the leaders of the covenant didn't even trust themselves to be good judges of characters which light to the massacreing their Padawans trying to prevent them from falling to the Darkside I believe.
