There is no emotion... (A Jedi Order Quest)

[X] Patrol Routes and Better Ships
-[X] Request a Letter of Marque, authorizing the Jedi Order to own and operate military grade ships. (150 PP)
-[X] Help the Republic with the new Infrastructure Droids (-20 PP at least, Bao-Dur cannot tell what will happen but it certainly can't be worse than if you do nothing and the Droids lose it)
-[X] Send an Emissary to the Drakion (50 PP)
-[X] Establish a Patrol Route in the Deep Core (Located near the Yuuzhan Vong Republic, this is the area where the borders touch. Keeping it safe and contained is a necessity.) (+10 PP)
-[X] Establish an Inner Rim Patrol Route (What would normally be one of the more quiet areas of the galaxy is, in actuality, positively swimming in pro-Sith sentiment, organized crime, and worse.) (+15 PP)
-[X] Recruitment Drive-- Recruit 2d5 Initiates (30 PP)

I agree with the reasoning here - we just got a new outpost so we don't need more just yet, but we've grown enough to cover a new patrol route without straining.

Also I think we ought to get all of the patrol rotations opened and filled before we go for a letter of marque.

However, the Supreme Chancellor's Office has finally contact you about a matter that probably should at least have been discussed earlier: G0-T0. Apparently the drone you travelled with was not the only one to act up as it did. A Free Galaxy has been pushing, and hardly, to remove the droids from their current positions before a repeat of the Gordian Reach incident, if not worse, can happen. But in the Outer Rim, where the droids have very appreciably increased the pace of reconstruction, suggesting they should be removed is unlikely to play well with the voters.
GO-TO is effective...
Just it seems they value efficiency a bit too much...
"Is my efficiency annoying you?" - GO-TO probably

Negotiation Results 3943 BBY Q4

-Send a Jedi with a Republic archeological expedition(15 PP)

Things go considerably better this year, with Knight Gonan managing to solve the Logic Trap of Krayth and open the Tomb of Sorzus Syn, one of the original twelve Exiles who would found the Sith Order on the back of the Sith People. There were a number of questions we managed to answer in that way, and a few tips for agriculture that might help us during further colonization.
(+10 Knowledge)

-Expand Telos with Republic help (10 PP)
(+21)

Telos has surplus power generators from the Republic Navy converted to power a number of heaters to help keep the facility warm.
(176/300)

-Expand Ossus with Republic help (10 PP)
(+50)

Massive solar panels convert the sun's fury into a new life, a new hope, rebirthing a temple that has long since lain dormant through the aid of the natives, still hungry for energy. Though the temple is not as it was, indeed may never become so, it lives again, under your effort.
(Ossus: 500/500, complete)

-Expand Ilum with Republic help (10 PP)
(+36)

More of those converted heaters slowly make their way to Ilum. But if they are nice to have on Telos, they are the nearest thing to essential on that ice ball.

-Expand Coruscant with Republic help (10 PP)
(+21)

Explorers help you break various locks throughout the temple, opening new floors to you.
(154/300)

-Expand Tojora with Republic help (10 PP)
(+24)

Converted starship dormitories are just as useful as converted Jedi Temple dormitories, and decidedly less likely to be blown up.
(124/300)

-Recruitment Drive-- Recruit 2d5 Initiates (30 PP)
(4, 2)

To help man the new facilities, you recruit a number of new Initiates, mostly older ones who can be trusted not to start too much trouble even if they outnumber older students and masters.

-Establish an Inner Rim Patrol Route (What would normally be one of the more quiet areas of the galaxy is, in actuality, positively swimming in pro-Sith sentiment, organized crime, and worse.)

More work for the Jedi. As the empire of Revan disintegrated in defeat, its common soldiers fled here, where most had originally been from before joining him to fight off the Crusades. So they managed to slip back into day-to-day life, like a poison. Not that you have any particular desire to hunt down those who put down the blaster and the mask, redemption is a great thing; but plenty...haven't.

-Send an Emissary to the Drakion (50 PP)

You personally visit their planet to begin with. You can only hope you are up to task; and beyond the biases and petty bigotries that might cloud the judgement of a Jedi, in staring down a man who resembles the murderers of planets. Not that any of the Republic should complain too loudly, considering pirates have apparently been raiding this place right under your noses (or sensory organ of choice) for years.

-Request Republic Aid Fortifying Telos, Ossus, Ilum, Coruscant, Tojora (125 PP)

A number of stations, both orbital and groundside, are established over these five colonies. If the Sith attack, or anyone else for that matter, they will find you a very hard target.
(Hardened targets notably)

Lots of good rebuilding.

Another big name.

Missing the current build status, should be (169/300).

Pretty good.

Indeed.

Good, very good.

Right, thinking about patrol routes now. This was our last distribution, which was I think broadly fine:

The Core: Councilor Mira, 1 Jedi Consular, 1 Jedi Sentinel, 1 Jedi Guardian, 4 Padawans
The Mid-Rim: Councilor Bastila Shan, Consular Atris, 2 Jedi Sentinels, 3 Jedi Guardians, 6 Padawans
The Outer Rim: Councilor Atton Rand, 3 Jedi Consulars, 3 Jedi Sentinels, 5 Padawans
The Colonies: Councilor Visas Marr, 4 Jedi Sentinels, 4 Padawans
The Expansion Region: Grandmaster Bao-Dur, 4 Jedi Guardians, 2 Jedi Consulars, 2 Jedi Sentinels, 6 Padawans

76 Initiates

40 Padawans (Combat 1 Wisdom 2 Skill 2 Diplomacy 2 Vigilance 1 Vitality 2)

26 Jedi Sentinel (C2 W3 S3 D3 V3 H4)
19 Jedi Guardian (C4 W3 S2 D4 V1 H5)
11 Jedi Consular (C1 W5 S2 D5 V4 H3)

1 Consular Atris
-Formerly a member of the Jedi Council, she willingly left behind her title and and position on the Council to travel in Exile as she once damned Meetra Surik to. However, she has returned to the Order and taken back up the role of Padawan.
-Has reclaimed the title of Jedi Knight.
(Combat 6 Wisdom 6 Skill 3 Diplomacy 2 Vigilance 4 Vitality 4)
Here are our numbers from the front page, which I assume are up to date.

Facilities:
Dantooine Praxeum(498/500) (Generalist Facility) (Population 112/200)
(6 Jedi Masters, 15 Jedi Sentinels, 6 Jedi Consulars, 27 Jedi Padawans, 58 Initiates)

Telos Academy (Guardian Enclave)(155/300)(14/25)
(1 Jedi Master Sage, 13 Jedi Guardians)

Ossus Praxeum(General Facility) (464/500) (14/250)
(6 Jedi Sentinels, 1 Jedi Master Watchman, 7 Jedi Padawans)

Ilum (General Facility) (133/300) (3/15)
(1 Jedi Guardian, 2 Jedi Sentinels)

Coruscant (Ruined Temple) (213/300) (35/1000)
(5 Jedi Consulars, 4 Jedi Guardians, 3 Jedi Sentinels, 6 Jedi Padawans, 17 Initiates)

Tojora (100/300) (6/100)
(1 Jedi Guardian, 5 Initiates)
Question @Voikirium, do those Jedi Masters/the Master Sage/the Master Watchman account for our Council members then? I'm having a little difficulty parsing ATM.

Yes. The majority are on Dantooine, Mical is on Telos, and Bastila is on Ossus.

The Core [Consular=Sentinel>Guardian]: Councilor Mira, 2 Jedi Consulars, 2 Jedi Sentinels, 1 Jedi Guardian, 6 Padawans
The Inner Rim [Consular>Guardian=Sentinel]: Councilor Bastila Shan, 3 Jedi Consulars, 4 Jedi Sentinels, 2 Jedi Guardians, 8 Padawans
The Mid-Rim [Guardian>Sentinel>Consular]: Consular Atris, 3 Jedi Sentinels, 5 Jedi Guardians, 8 Padawans
The Outer Rim [Consular>Sentinel>Guardian]: Councilor Atton Rand, 3 Jedi Consulars, 5 Jedi Sentinels, 2 Jedi Guardians, 6 Padawans
The Colonies [Sentinel>Guardian>Consular]: Councilor Visas Marr, 1 Jedi Consular, 6 Jedi Sentinels, 2 Jedi Guardians, 6 Padawans
The Expansion Region[All Hands; esp Guardians]: Grandmaster Bao-Dur, 2 Jedi Consulars, 6 Jedi Sentinels, 7 Jedi Guardians, 6 Padawans

37/40 Padawans (Combat 1 Wisdom 2 Skill 2 Diplomacy 2 Vigilance 1 Vitality 2)

26/26 Jedi Sentinel (C2 W3 S3 D3 V3 H4)
19/19 Jedi Guardian (C4 W3 S2 D4 V1 H5)
11/11 Jedi Consular (C1 W5 S2 D5 V4 H3)

So, retaining the rough distribution of last time, accounting for the Inner Rim now as well (TBH that's where most of our new Consulars are going). Reasoning as follows:
- Core: Diplomacy is needed here, hence Consulars; well-patrolled by other groups as well, so more problems on the down-low, so Sentinels; Guardians are only there for backup; this is going to be our smallest force at least for the time being
- IR: Diplomacy and investigation primarily, probably; going to move Bastila here so we can have a hero in each route and Atris has better martial so she's staying in the combat route
- MR: Lotta Guardians up in here. If we get more Consulars next time around we can maybe stick one or two in here, but for now they're more needed elsewhere
- OR: No more Consulars here, just give them more backup
- Colonies: This place makes me itch, give them a bit of everything
- ER: MOAR GUARDIANS; really I'm just throwing anything spare in here with the exception of padawans.

Speaking of Padawans, not putting them anywhere they would outnumber the knights. Buddy system, people.

Jedi Order Patrol Routes 3942 BBY
Available Jedi
40 Padawans
26 Jedi Sentinels
19 Jedi Guardians
11 Jedi Consulars
Councilor Bastila Shan (Combat 4 Wisdom 4 Skill 3 Diplomacy 3 Vigilance 3 Vitality 3)
Grandmaster Bao-Dur (Combat 6, Wisdom 4, Skill 4, Diplomacy 5 Vigilance 2, Vitality 5)
Councilor Atton Rand (Combat 4, Wisdom 3, Skill 3, Diplomacy 3, Vigilance 4, Vitality 3)
Councilor Visas Marr (Combat 5, Wisdom 3, Skill 3, Diplomacy 1, Vigilance 4, Vitality 3)
Councilor Mira (Combat 3, Wisdom 4, Skill 4, Diplomacy 3, Vigilance 4, Vitality 3)
Consular Atris (Combat 6 Wisdom 5 Skill 2 Diplomacy 2 Vigilance 4 Vitality 3)

Patrol Routes:

[] The Core: To be honest, this is likely the safest part of the Galaxy. You'd be surprised if anything more threatening than a few gangsters show up here anytime soon, and not very threatening ones either. Still, whatever does happen here, the entire galaxy knows about it, so if you just want to fly the flag, so to speak, this would be a good place for it.
([] Assign Jedi to patrol, needs 4 Vigilance)

[] The Inner Rim: What should, by rights, be a milk run is instead a thriving cesspool of Sith sympathizers and saboteurs, and plenty of them want to reignite the Dark Wars. We need anybody and everybody: Consulars to try and talk them down, Sentinels to investigate, and Guardians to show some muscle if things get hairy.
(Assign Jedi to Patrol, Needs 10 Vigilance)

[] The Mid-Rim: Wealthier than the Outer Rim, but without the commiserate military force, a surprising amount of Jedi patrols have always been focused here, being pirate bait and all. This is likely where combat, if it takes place, will take place. Sending some real muscle out here would be a wise plan.
([] Assign Jedi to patrol, needs 6 Vigilance)

[] The Outer Rim: A sparsely populated collection of agri worlds, you don't see too much trouble coming here, if it weren't for the Mandalorians. On the other hand, this is likely to be where the majority of your apprentices come from for the time being, so perhaps those more in tune with the Force would be a wise plan.
([] Assign Jedi to patrol, needs 1 Vigilance)

[] The Colonies: A wealthy, industrialized part of the Mid-Rim, they are a usually safe area, not often requiring much work. Though the current war may change that...
([] Assign Jedi to Patrol, needs 1 Vigilance)

[] The Expansion Region: Part of the Galaxy brutally exploited by corporate interests, pushed to the brink by war, and left to die once it was no longer lucrative enough. Chaos rains as Sith-Imposed regimes fall apart. In many cases, the Jedi dispatched here will be the first, last, and only order on world. (Needs 6 Vigilance)
