There is no emotion... (A Jedi Order Quest)

It's just a year, I'll take the hit to research for the colonization bonus.

While I agree with your point about helping non-Core worlds expand, the fact is that Corellia is going to do this with or without us. And while they could influence us, there's also the chance of us influencing them. If and when the opportunity to come help less developed worlds expand, we should definitely take it, but it's not an option right now.
I'd just really rather not get in bed with them to the point of helping them. They may be doing it, but I see no reason to get on board with them, especially not if it costs us. They can succeed themself, or not at all.

The Corellian Jedi in canon are notable for being very connected with the local law enforcement and government and for having families and connections without it making them go dark. That might just be a good thing to get started.

True, though I seem to remember they have other problems like never going outside of their sector to help the rest of the galaxy even when they should like during the various Sith Wars. I seem to remember they didn't fight in the 1st or 2nd Great Galactic War until the Sith invaded Corellia so it comes with disadvantages as well. Still its worth enough that I think we should accept the deal.

True, the Green Jedi very rarely ventured outside of Corellian System.

They're just kind of superfluous if we go the same route tho, since they don't currently exist. If we want law enforcement connections and families without darkside... then we can just do that. We don't need Corellia for that. Frankly Corellia's status of getting the sue Jedi faction is a reason to avoid re-setting it up there more.

Seems to me that a good way of solving potential problems is to get ahead of them, so let's get a bit closer as friends that help one another.

I'm assuming we'll have the opportunity to keep any Corellian temple (or any other temple) from getting too insular and refusing to go out and help the galaxy. At least, I hope we will. There was something like 1 Jedi per inhabited world at the Order's peak. (An insanely low number, even given the low average planetary population for inhabited worlds across the whole galaxy.) To have a hundred or more in one populous but well-policed and civilized system was a gross misallocation of resources. Who knows how much less screwed up the Rim might have been if the canon Corellian Jedi had been available for missions to deal with slavers and pirates.

Ensuring that any Jedi recruits are circulated around the galaxy during training and not solely trained at the nearest temple will probably do the trick to keep any individual temples from diverging too much or getting too insular. Seems like a good policy idea, especially if we go with the 1000 sparks concept where divergence could otherwise be a real issue.

A Report On The Yuuzhan Vong
Report On The Yuuzhan Vong

Madame Chancellor,

while my first contact with the Yuuzhan Vong Republic was a messy affair at best, there were two points I gathered.

1st: They follow a philosophy of what they call "Final State," as well as the Priority Alpha: an absolute, inviolate oath not to interfere in the affairs of pre-Hyperspace peoples and civilizations; even, it seems, to the extent of allowing such people to die of plague, rather than run the risk of such contamination.
2nd: They do not respect the Jedi or the Force, being somehow not immersed in it; they regard us as little better than charlatans, would-be wizards, and liars. As a consequence I expect they will not respect the Republic for its ties to us, either.

As we receive more information in further encounters I will update this dossier.

Best wishes,

Grandmaster Bao-Dur
