OK, I don't play the Game she is from, but isn't Ahri a Kumiho? Aren't those the exact foxes you'd want to avoid? So why would any Kitsune willingly put something on that might even be tangentially connected to them, even if it is only through another dimensions gaming pop-culture?
Edit:
Because, if that game does in any form exist in Bet or Aleph, there will be at least one set of Villains that would recognize it and cause trouble. (Uber and L33t anyone?)
I'm pretty sure that Ahri has the whole character focus of rising above what she was born as if I remember her backstory correctly.

Might be misremembering things, but I'm pretty sue she's nonstandard for a Kumiho by any stretch of the imagination and a lot closer to a Kitsune

Yep, she's got a couple short stories on the LoL Universe website that explore her character a bit.

It wouldn't exist yet (at least the Star Guardian costume), even if it's going to eventually be created on Earth Aleph.

Yea, 2011 LoL is still in coming onto the scene, it's only season two. Ahri was added in December of 2011 as well, so she's not even on the roster yet. Might be in development, not sure though.
Cue the tinfoil hats on Aleph screaming about the fact that Ahri was actually a real person on Bet all along!

What else are they lying to us about!?

Does it really matter? Any Asians figuring that out will stop reading and become paniced at the combo of "Fox Spirit" and "Korean".

also an outfit like that will score amazingly well with the high school and elementary girls crowd. Which does mean more sales. (always a plus, even if a secondary one)
Financial sales are a secondary concern, but "scoring well with the high school/elementary girl crowd" is a primary goal. That's how they try to recruit future parahumans so that they will be part of the solution rather than part of the problem. The fate of humanity may rest on this. PR in Worm is hardcore.

I would also like to point out that Glenn arranged for her to test her singing voice. Sure it got done up as a 'team bonding' thing, but it was entirely intended to test her singing voice.
I got that. I'm also sure that, in a world where Bad Canary has been majorly in the news lately and with Taylor showing new powers at the drop of a hat, they were also checking for possible Master effects from her singing. Results?
They weren't saying anything. They were just sitting, staring at her like statues.
Inconclusive.

That's the problem with the Worm setting. Where do you draw the line between 'low level master' and 'really good singer'?
Or "low-level Master" and "middle-ranked social Thinker", or "low-level social Thinker who's good at pushing people's buttons even without powers" for that matter. The Protectorate's classification system isn't really suited for edge cases like Coil or (arguably) Tattletale, and the fact that anyone with an actual Master rating tends to make the public understandably nervous doesn't help.

PRT threat analysis is used as a short form to tell squads how to deal with a threat in the field (though generally they have a more thorough debriefing that makes that more or less moot for the local team.)

Like, Skitter is a high level master with small ratings in most everything else. Short hand this means she's primarily a master (insects) but you should also be prepared for just about everything in the book.

The actual briefing would be like "Insect controller. Can control and has sensory information of all insects in a several block radius with unlimited multitasking ability which is used for everything from the obvious to using threads to tie people up. Has been noted to lace insects with various chemicals for disabling people. Armor seems able to resist small arms fire. Is able to use masses of bugs to hide her position. " And then some suggestions on how to deal with her, probably including sealed suits, insecticides, and being constantly aware of your surroundings to make sure she isn't tying up your gear.

If the PRT was taking tattletale seriously as a threat, slapping a low level master on her official numbers would probably be a good idea to remind people not to let her talk.

As seen with Canary, the assigning of a master rating might also be partially a political thing.

The canon classification system is not at all good at what it's supposedly used for (in-the-field threat assesment), almost as if it was written by someone who had no actual experience as a PRT field agent or talked to one or soldiers or SWAT team members.

Oh god, that would be hilarious to see their reactions! Unfortunately, they've been on Bet for about a year by this point and, if Ahri wont be out yet at the current moment in time, she wouldnt have been out on Aleph either. Assuming LoL exists over there.

Taylor: "I've withdrawn as ordered, console. Any idea why Trickster was shouting "Ahri MIA! Ahri MIA!" in what sounded like mounting horror?"

Now we just need someone who can pull off Teemo.

... what the hell am I saying? We never need Teemo.

Edit: And the second I posted this, brain smacks me upside the head: "Aisha could pull off Teemo."
