The Power(Harry Potter/The Gamer)

we only got year 1-6 of defense spells and 1 or 2 years of several other spells. there are 7 years total and many many different fields that are being taught (such that most people can't even take all of them). so, we are quite far from learning everything the school has to offer (except for defense)
that being said. we have been learning magic for 1 month. so we might actually manage to learn the entire 7 year curriculum in this year.
I am all for being hired as the defense against the dark arts teacher
Yeah, I was talking about after this year. With how far we have come this one month, without us even being versed in efficient grinding, by the end of the year school would have nothing left to teach us, we'd have mastered it all already. We'd probably be able to pull some strings to let us take our OWLs and NEWTs as well, so we would be fully certified.

Well, while we will have the breadth of knowledge, and skill with the spells, we won't have the experience.

kind of like the difference between using a skill in training, and in combat. Even with Gamer's Mind taking the pressure aspect off, in combat there are often so many distractions, and things you need to do, dodging while casting and defending, helping allies, multiple attackers, etc.

Dueling with Moody is helping us with that, but still, will need some actual experience in combat.

While I'm thinking of it, could we arrange duels with Flitwick? Possibly dueling against him 'and' Moody? Short of dueling against Dumbledore, that's probably going to be the best we can do for combat experience.

Also, can we learn the Turning class ability?

I'm pretty sure we will have lots of experience. I mean, it's not like we won't be grinding our IDs. Especially as it gets higher level, I'm rather certain we will start to fight other magic people.

[X] Make them put up security around the four of you, then tell them everything, including about the Gamer power.

I mean, can they use plans, or fight with cunning, rather than just attack?
I think that some enemies have before, but the writers of the manhwa haven't really shown him on screen in ID barriers in a long time. I don't see why they wouldn't however.

The ogres fought with some strategy but Ji-han pretty much overpowered them with magic so they didn't get a lot of chance to show it off.

Wonder what the next creature our ID will get is going to be?
Troll maybe?
Or maybe evil rats running everywhere fast that we can hone our aiming abilities on. :)

The way it was explicitly stated by the OP to work was that we have access to 3 different creature types for ID's ones from HP (Flobberworms) Ones from D&D (Unkown as of yet, but I suspect we will start with Goblins or Kobolds), and ones from the Gamer (Zombies)

HP Monsters drop HP gear and Wizarding Currency, D&D Monsters Drop D&D Gear and GP, The Gamer Monsters Drop the Gamer Gear and British pounds.

I'd assume we would eventually get further options by devouring more fiction and grinding our ID's. Right now we only have barely touched ID's

[X] Tell them everything except the gamer power, making up lies or claiming secrets for relevant parts.
-[X] Also thank Moody for teaching us the value of CONSTANT VIGILANCE! You never know when a death eater rat animagus is in the room, so showing CONSTANT VIGILANCE is obviously fully justified!

If we can somehow bullshit our way through this Dumbledore might replace the power the dark lord knows not. Instead of Love it'd be detect evil. Coz like if we can pass off as entirely unique and no one else can learn it? When he learns about the horcrux (horcruxes? seriously what's the plural for that?) he might just pick up the idiot ball and just assume it is just detect evil is that part in the prophecy.

Gamer recently encountered Kobolds

Wonder if there will be D&D Kobolds and Gamer Kobolds.

well, it is a potentially good place to grind skills in even after we learn all they have to offer

They can. The latest chapters have kobolds who form a shield formation, and their leader had an attitude. Didn't help much, the poor dogfacemen.

Do you think there is going to be something like the DLC dungeon, in this quest?

We might have fiction-relevant dungeons. Say if we read Lord of the Rings, then we might be able to access the Mines of Moria and so on.

- Hopefully in Xellos (Slayers) Style

. . . And the OP lost his PC or internet... again. Why does this happen to him on the weekends?

(EDIT) Even with his job, he's demonstrated the ability to post by this time during the weekdays. So, unless he was held up by this, that, or the other; then this would make the third week in a row that he's had computer issues over the weekend.

That I can see more as a preprogrammed thing.
I'm talking about something that shows they can adapt to the situation.
No such thing; the author / artist that do the manhwa can't do that. They can't even provide accurate numbers on their own damn math (Though part of that could be idiot translators- well some of it).

That was strategy as best the author/artist can do it. You have to remember Ji-han goes in like an archmage throwing huge spells around at fairly low level creatures; he hasn't faced anything he can't bulldoze in a LONG time.

EDIT: Well, bulldoze or hide from until it goes away / even more over powered characters show up to save his bacon.

I wonder what would Harry get if he read the Dark Sun, Blackmoor or other settings of D&D?
Dark Sun he might get more access to cool fighting skills; the gladiatorial skills on Athas are very neat... Also maybe Psionics, he wouldn't WANT the magic. Well, maybe some of the Preserver stuff.

Not sure on Blackmoor; I don't recognize that one offhand.
