Going to have to get high enough level in Wizard/Cleric to enchant items then. Or high enough level to have access to the spells and high enough in Runes/charms to make them with HP magic.
We'll get there eventually.

Because is is not just about ideals but also about the situation on the ground. I do not want Harry to share a House with a bunch of pure-blood-supremacist brats who's parents are Death Eaters.
In other words turn into a Dark Lord ala most of the crappy fics DLP seems to like?

I really hate those though there was a time when I liked them... then I stopped being a teenager.
Evil is generally not something desirable is a protagonist and that is what being a Dark wizard is.
Yes, we'd just have to make a more entertaining image to change them to. As the Gamer, our manipulation works more on numbers. We can make them Dark, or more entertainingly, businessmen. Start a company. Manufacture brooms. Take the world by storm.
So a crack quest. Not really what I am looking for either, but that is just me, so we'll see what the majority decides
In other settings? Sure. In HP, sticking close to canon? Not really. Harry Potter exists in a world that has moral absolutes. X is demonstratively good, Y is demonstratively evil. Doing Y makes you crazy.
Not really. It is certainly a bit meta but we are not IMO in crack territory.
Also, I have a question; why hasn't Harry been gaining Monk levels? Or is that because he found a 2nd Edition set of books?.

Don't get me wrong, I love a good villain protagonist, but you really have to twist around the setting if you want to have an Evil Harry.
Not yet, but we will be eventually. It's just the nature of the beast.
That's a stupid way of looking at things. Moral absolutes are retarded and don't allow for complex characters.
That's movie only; in the books, what took Harry out was feedback from touching Quirrel- touching him burnt Quirrel, but hurt Harry to the point of nearly killing him.Protection from Evil would help at the end of book 1, as it would stop what Voldie did to knock Harry out after Quirrell died. Or at least help.

Not really Crack, at most it would be Serious-Crack. The difference is, despite the MC being Cracky, everyone else is all Serious Business. While we might be able to drive Harry to be Crack-y, we can't make anyone else act that way, unless we use some mind magics.

Managing that without lots of mind control would be... difficult... to say the least. It's all up to us, though. We could make the Slytherins into an order of knights devoted to preserving the old ways and educating the new muggleborn students. Appeal to their pride.
Being OP does not make it crack. It's how people handle the situation. If Harry becomes care-free, and takes up messing with people, then it's crack. If he just so happens to have ridiculous powers, yet treats them completely seriously, then it's not crack. The powers we have as the Gamer are what make it Cracky, not anyone's attitude. . .we are OP, or at least we will be.
