@durin don't we have harvest stations or something around our gas planet?

Might want to add that to the space section and are those defended along with our other space assets?

yes I should, they will be abandoned for the fight, being utterly indefensible
Shame we can't defend them but couldn't our Tugs have moved them or was there simply not enough time?

@durin could we possibly make our own harvest stations to replace these ones if they are destroyed?

Looks good to me.

Given how long it took the tugs to move our other infrastructure, probably not. I imagine the harvest stations will be powered down, so will be less likely to register on sensors at long range anyways.

Here's hoping.

@durin speaking of space assets shouldn't the orbital habitats we have also be in the space section and how many in total do we have?

Also @durin in the military summary shouldn't we have Viking Gunships since I remember getting some but they are not shown.

Vikings are part of the Drop Trooper regiments. From the Current Military sheets:

Drop Infantry Regiment (DI):
10,000 Drop Infantry (including 1,000 Corpsmen), 240 Chaplains, 40 Drop Sentinels, 40 Monitors, 100 Vultures, 120 Vikings, 166 Valkyries and 32 Dropships

Ok good sorry to bug you about it.

Viking will be great if the invaders are Orcs since most armies are filled with low armored hordes which the Vikings would be great in.
Great so we could replace the loss if needed.

Ohhh, crap. The orbitals. Those wouldn't have any armour or armament would they? We need to evacuate those orbitals to the surface.
They will be, the population of the orbitals will be moved back to their home cities
We need to fix that.

This is Avernus afterall.

I say that if they aren't destroyed we upgrade the habitats or of they are build new ones so that they can be considered minor starforts in their own right.

Waaagh Part Four: Final Preparations
Waaagh Part Four: Final Preparations

As you continue your preparations for the invasion you receive word that Alfheim has come under attack by and Ork force consisting of a small Space Hulk, a dozen Battlekroozers and fifty Kroozers, as well as several dozen Roks and hundreds of Escorts. According to Admiral Parnell this force is large enough to land on Alfheim but given time Admiral Freyr will be able to defeat it. From what your sensor Adepts can tell the incoming fleet is slightly larger, though you have no way of telling for sure.

Hearing that the invaders are Orks gives you hope that they will concentrate on Avernus itself and leave your orbital industry alone, or at least not attack it to the same level. On the other hand given your suspicions about the origin of Avernus you wonder exactly how the wildlife will react to Orks. There is a remote possibility that it will aid the Orks against you, which would make the Orkish attacks far more deadly. Despite this you are confident that the defences of Avernus will stand against the Ork hordes, with the sheer number and quality of your militia hopefully being enough to counter the Orks own numbers.

You will have two days before they arrive to make changes to your deployments now that you have an idea of who is most likely attacking.

Navy:
Admiral Amos Parnell in overall command.
Mobile Forces will position themselves to defend the Cumae industrial base. The Goliath and Asteroid miners will be protected here. The first priority is protecting the Well of Urd, followed by the Goliath, followed by the Shipyards and Moon Bases.

If the enemy ignores Cumae and goes for Avernus instead, we will reassess strategy depending on enemy strength. May resort to hit and run tactics.

We have to be thorough in exterminating the Orks. If word gets out that Avernites make a good fight we'll never have peace of mind from the Greenskins. They're going to take pilgrimages to Avernus.

Pretty sure Orks don't make use of long range communication.

Plus side that if Orks become a local thing we can train our troops with another enemy type.

Also if this World Mind is a thing it might keep local Orks relatively under control most of the time.

As long as Giant Magma Worms aren't part of that pest control method.

This is a bigger benefit to Alfheim, since they currently have nothing to practice maneuvers on.
Well both planets can benefit from it since Orks can act as anti army training in general.

Upside is that since Alfheim has ridiculous space defenses they should be able to cause lots of damage to the enemy fleet and limit the amount of landers.

I'm just worried that we only have 3 cities with a psyker presence; and only 25 minor battle psykers at the unseen university. (Well, the headmaster is there, but still.)

And it only has PDF forces, none of our IG Regiments. Granted, our PDF is amazing, but I want our thousands of Psykers in training to be well protected.
