The Great Gods of Chaos cannot be other than what they are, expressions of the worst and most extreme impulses of sapient life. Their connection to the Primordial Sea assures it.

Yeah, best case is whoever it is holding it together long enough to just send themselves back into the past without doing any damage in the present, ideally after killing their present self.

and of course, unless Ridcully gets like, multiple transcendents related to viewing things safely, attempting to divine it just asking for chaos rid.

My guess is that multiple people will become tzeentch. And that the 'heads' will fail in killing each other because they have their part of tzeentch helping them to survive.

Because the idea of only one person ascending and with that reducing the number of plans that tzeentch do against himself would really scary me.

I have a question for @Durin but maybe the @Threat knows it already?

1. If Rotbart is a posible canditate for possible aspects is that true for Abbadon as well?
1a. Or does Abbadon already have one (even if we do not know which)?
1b. Or can Abbadon not have an aspect because of Chaos?

1. Yes he is, War-master especially.
1a. He does not, as far we know but he's already hyper lethal without one.
1b. Gaining archetypes only becomes impossible/ really hard once you're warped based.

Rids could ascend before reaching step 9. 9 is just the point where ascending is a matter of choice instead of some grand ritual. And while currently the ritual would be extremely costly (trillions of human sacrifices), the further he is the cheaper it gets and human lives are far from the only possible sources of power for this.

But yeah the further he is the more sane/human/himself he would be after, so we are not planning any such ritual.

We also lack any skill at sorcery, which is the domain such a ritual would fall under, and in any case the God of Sorcery is not one under whose power we would wish to place Rids.

eeeehhhh

"9"....that is far too perfect of a number. I imagine all would-be transcendents (of the psyker variety) have to be extra careful to avoid getting yoinked by tzeetch in comparison to normal.

huh... a Magical Girl archtype being fulfilled might take a bit of power from tzeentch from the sorcery aspect as well as the hope aspect yeah?

You can't really take away a Chaos God's domain, that said old Bird Brain is not really the god of hope as the term is generally used

Tzeench sees hope as 'desire for change' usually an impetuous for 'ambition towards change'. That is all him, but hope can also be: 'I hope things don't get worse', a desire to maintain the status quo which is opposed to his domain. As with many things chaos lies even in the most basic aspects of its existence.
