dat +10 man.....

imagine a unending swarm of them, washing over a deamon-planet. Leaving nothing behind them before jumping into a warp-portal to the next planet.....

*gasp* what if a god of spiders spawns? o_O

New rule: If a BC item falls into the hands of a spider we destroy Avernus and toss the remnants into a star, which we then toss into the warp.

I don't know why all complain? It was a quick, short execution without waisting too many forces, a win in my book. Would you all rather have lost our Saint and wrecked our hive in the process of the fight? Because that is what would have happened.

I think people are complaining because it wasn't a very satisfying end to the incursion naratively speaking. Then again all the votes up to this point have been working towards said unsatisfying end because it involves not risking our heroes and not losing our Saint before his final deed. There was not much @Durin could have done to make is satisfying. even if he had written out the fight in detail it would have been 'lizard we have never seen before and we have no attachment to fights random blob of warp energy'. Personally I think it's for the best that he decided to summarize.

Quick question, but Lin only has a few years left, correct? I hope before the end he has a chance to talk with the other loyal primarchs.

that and I am not sure how well I could write a fight between possible the most skilled fighter in the galaxy and one of the most powerful

To be honest there are always complaints. If the FC had actually met our heroes and heroes died there would be salt. Failing to crush the FC like an ant generates complaints. Failing to get our Astartes wiped out generates complaints.

It's just not possible to please everyone.

Except maybe if we fought the FC and then rolled a string of Natural 100s that permakills it with no help. Even then I think there would be complaints. Hell, the last time we avoided fighting an FC at all there was complaints.

one interesting end to the FC that was actually likely was Jacob getting a mutual kill with it

I mean it was still a cool fight. Dragon vs Demon is pretty much as good as Heroes vs Demon. I think this might be the first time I've actually seen Dragon vs Demon actually.

yeah, that would be a nice fight to explore, particularly an old dragon with all the tricks and items it has picked up over its lifetime vs an Exalted Deamon that is in many ways the same age as it

@inverted_helix

I don't understand why you seem upset after each post where win.

After the War on 2 Fronts you were upset that an outside actor defeated the enemy when it had reached the point where the playerbase would have been forced to take costly sacrifices to prevent a disaster from occurring.

After the Throne of Plague where we succeeded you were upset Ridcully did not get more powerful traits.

Just recently after we have avoided losing valuable and critical characters due to an outside actor we had been stalling to allow his arrival you are upset.

You don't even seem all that upset when we lose entire hives with hundreds of millions of people, so I don't understand why you seem so upset after updates where we can be said to have attained victory by any reasonable measure. Certainly the characters in-universe are not upset at not having to die. I would not be upset if in reality someone else bequeathed money or stuff to me even if I did not earn it, so I don't understand your reason to be upset whenever we win even if it is due to outside forces.

Will we be able to locate and the dragons horde now that it has died, or will it become a legend of a lost cavern of treasure?

Yay.

On the upside we no longer need to worry about overpopulation for a while.

Something to note: With the True Death of the FC the Eye Of Terra is likely to fall to the dragon faster than previously predicted.

the Lizardmen arrived to join the battle, marching from the south
Isn't there several thousand kilometres and an ocean between them and us? How did they march a quarter of the way round the planet in a few days?
We should give them some aerial transports. Be nice for them to arrive within hours next time.

I found it statisfying for an end. We never had the chance to kill the 1st circle and our win was from the get go to manuver it someplace the Ancient One could finish it.
