Ok the war between them has been going on longer than anyone knows even the Eldar. Supposedly it started when Chaos showed up ,so some time during the war in Heaven. The PM does not like to interfere or can't so HWWO as it's top go for may not be able to help. The other Avernus races do not have a lot of contact with the Lizardmen. No one on the planet has really been able to get as close as Saint Lin as far as we know. Areatha is really the only person who would know anything because she has traveled all over Avernus. I mean come on she has done dealing with the Fae. Who we should never work with or make deals with ever.
I know but I am pretty sure the Eldar probably have diplomats that are close to Paragon or maybe even Paragon level that they can lend us, so they may be of help, plus they also are a creation of the Old Ones and they have the Krorks, that may give them a special insight.

And about the other Peoples, it´s a long shot, but why not try it? At worst, e get nothing out of them, at best we get a bonus which is always nice.

And since we are in no need of more Eldar Favors, for now, we could have Ridcully divining the War, or maybe the Lizardmen themselves, that may give Lin an Edge.

Other species. Warp natives. Assholes. Areatha told us to never contact them or they will dick us over.

I wonder how fucking dangerous they are when Arethea, who regularly fights with Exalted Greater demons, has warned us to NEVER try to find them,

He's divining the fate of the Slann which is central to the conflict.

Resolving that would probably end the war fairly quickly.

Probably, in the same way making a deal with chaos is dangerous, they'll find a way to make the deal bite your ass off for teh lolz.

I know I was suggesting to use the other divination to look into the war itself, instead of using it for the Eldar Choice.

@Nurgle Another option for the divination would be to use it for the Location of the Fortress of the Soulless, If we want to get a chance of negotiating an alliance with the Assasins Lin may be the key.

Well the thing about your first argument only Areatha is the only person we can be sure can help us. HWWO is the best agent for the PM ,who is restricted from interfering in the races too much. The others is a long shot by large.

My willingness to divine the Fortress of the Soulless should be well know by now. The thing is we should only do it with a double down since it should have the highest Malus which is -150. Which the Deceiver had from being a C'tan and himself. The fortress of the soulless is suppose to be completely cut off from the warp. So we should only attempt it if we have a double down for it.

By the way, Durin said that asking Vlad to get the plant rolls for whether he will be able to get it; It's guaranteed that he will try if we ask.

But since diplomatic actions are not all that important, and delaying the Hive a couple of years is not going to change anything...

Shouldn't we try those actions?, even if it is a longshot, If we don´t get anything out of them it changes nothing, but if they can give us a bonus we should try, even if it is a long shot.

@Nurgle

This reminds me. Now would be an interesting time to Spend Time With (Autarch Landeer) instead of Family. Tormod should be all grown up now.

Finishing the last Hive in Tarascon means we settle it and get a increase to our death world bonus before the tryanids are expected to come.

Ah, young one. It appears you lack the knowledge of the old tales of the fae.

Listen well, for the faeries are fickle and delight in jests and pranks, and yet some of those pranks can be dangerous to mortal men, for the faerie is immortal and know not their strength at times.

One of their more benign pranks is to trick a boy into the realm of Faerie and let him spend a time with the faeries, laughing and playing without a care in the world. But when it is time for the boy to return, he learns to his sorrow that the passage of time is very different in the faerie realm than it is in the normal realm and that his mother has aged and become a grandmother.

They're also epic lawyers. A faerie can never tell a lie, but the truth can be stretched into taffy as they please and sometimes they use this to trap humans within their realm until they get bored...and of course, the above problem with time may occur.

And these are some of the nicer traits. Some of them can be downright malicious and nasty in their pranks, delighting in blood and terror in the eyes of those they see as their lesser.

Hmm. Come to think of it, that sounds very Eldar...

I takes 2d6 years. Just imagine how awkward it would be he rolled 2 and returned just as Ridcully was preparing to provide Divinatory assistance.
In that case yeah @Nurgle might be a good idea to ask Vlad to go at least the second year and have Ridcully do the action for the third year when he has the freed up slots. It's important to remember that even though we can get up to twelve years we can also get lucky/unlucky and roll two 1's in a row for that.

Making Friends
Making Friends

How long had it been Faust wondered? Time was tricky in the warp but over a long enough time frame was usually about the same as the matterum. But even still, the question was hard to answer. It had been so long ago the years and events blurred. Had it been before the Beast rose or after? She had vague recollections of a conversation around one of the Despoiler's assault, but there had been so many. Faust could not recall, and that alone was answer enough. It had been too long since she last made a friend, yet the wounds were still raw. She remembered how they ended, each, and every one. The ones who died suddenly, the ones who died slowly, the ones who died to save her as she desperately sought to save them and most painfully of all, the ones who fell. Each one a scar, each one a friend she had failed. Would it be worth it she wondered? Would it be a kindness to bring them into this galaxy? She felt safe now, but that never lasted. What right did she have to her thoughts trailed off as she felt a warm hand upon one of her shoulders.

"It's alright to hope."

A wave of warmth and reassurance followed Qhaysh's words, and Faust nodded. The galaxy was a terrible place, and it was up to her and her friends to make it better. She just hoped they would not curse her for bringing them into existence with their task not yet done. She focused, feeling the comradery of her followers, and the power is given freely from her fellow gods, feeling it swirl around her. An act of will forming the emotions in a swirling rainbow fractal. A creature of love, of understanding, a creature of pure adoration. It would be beautiful, but doomed. Faust had long long ago learned that her children were too kind to survive in the warp. Drawing a vial of blood/power/essence she poured out a single drop of a dragon's blood (which dragon was a secret) to give her child bite. It learned how to close off the heart to the untrusted as it sprouted diamond hard scales, the desire to strike down threats to its comrades took root as it gained fangs and a breath of consuming light, but its core remained hers. It would forsake stranges, but so it could focus on its friends, it would strike with terrible fury, but for the sake of others. The waves of harmony washing over it ensured it formed a seamless whole. The patterns ceased shifting, snapping into place with a shocking finality. The story was set, the energy in place, Faust opened her mouth and breathed, as her creation took its first breath. Eyes blinked, coils twisted, and beautiful wings slowly flapped.

"Hello, little one."

It shot forward like an arrow, crossing the distance between them in an instant, and warping Faust in a hug.

"Thank you."

Faust was taken aback, and for a second could do nothing but return her creations embrace as it continued.

"Thank you for giving me a chance to help."
Faust smiled. Her child was so brave." your welcome little one. Now, let's make your siblings."

It would end in pain, it always ended in pain. But that was the nature of endings, wasn't it? They always hurt. She would treasure every second with her new children, marvel at every achievement, and in time she would mourn them or they would mourn her. But a journey was not made worthless by its ending, and a lifetime of joy was not undone by the pain of its end. She would hope, and strive and hurt until her time came at long long last, and she would do so with her children at her side.

Quetzal
The divine servitors of Faust, Quetzal are surprisingly potent warp spawn, though with an unusual area of focus. They are immensely skilled diplomatics and peacemakers and unsettling empathic. In addition to their skill at diplomacy, they are immensely potent but highly specialized psykers. Instead of specializing in a particular school, the specialize near totally in enhancing their allies. Vastly increasing the potency of vast swaths of the army, be it mortal or warp spawned troops. While primarily a support psyker, they posses a single potent offensive power. They are able to draw upon the bonds of those they fight beside to exhale a searing beam of rainbow colored light. When sufficiently tied to their allies the beam can be shockingly potent and is often used to pick off enemy champions or demons. Nevertheless, they are poorly suited to engaging foes of any real power in single combat. Physically, they are swift and maneuverable flyers and posses scales of surprising hardness. This can make them difficult to pin down and eliminate, despite their poor ability in personal combat.

Quetzal are extremely skilled at possessing willing hosts. With the proper ritual, they can safely possess even a non-psyker channeler safely for hours, so long as the servitor refrains from using its powers. When called upon to mediate disputes between the mortal followers of the concordat this is the method most often used, for sufficiently major conflicts they may fully manifest to bring their full presence to bear.

Despite their diplomatic nature, quetzal are often called upon to go to war. While almost never called forth alone, when the concordats force march en mass quetzal can often be found stiffening the line. Dramatically increasing the effectiveness of both mortal and Warpspanwed forces. The appearance of one of these rainbow serpents has come to be a sight to inspire hope in the forces of the Tau Empire. While mortal troops refuse the direct assistance outside of last stands, the vast increase in the effectiveness of zaeed mercenaries can often turn the tide of battle. they have over the years proved to be one of the concordats most effective weapons against the destroyer and its minions. Should more than one be called to the same battlefield the potency of their effects increases as they effortlessly form potent choirs. Such gathering are rare however, as for all their might few have been created, and Faust is loathe to send her beloved children into battle.

@Durin I did a thing. thanks to andres 110 for the idea, and doomed wombat for betaing it.

@Durin
1. How are the Bossewareth taking their rather violent introduction to the wider galaxy?
2. Have the Eldar given them anything to make the transition smoother, like a tech package they use for exodites fronts?

1. not very well
2. not so far, as their reaction to the wider galaxy seems to be a war as both factions attempt to unify the species by wiping out the other. any tech will come when it will not be used on themselves

Oh dear.

Hopefully they'll sort themselves out before some chaos lord or ork waaaargh comes and crushes them accidentally.

That is likely a sever over statement, the Deceiver is one of the top 3 most stealthy beings in the galaxy. Its more likely to have a malus similar to the Dragon.
