So list of problems we still have in the backround
1 deceiver I still think he will strike at the most inappropriate time.
2 the Tau I still think they are one of the deceiver patsies.
In nightmare to come the ultramarines were wiped out and most of the eastern fridge was lifeless. The Tau were still around but we're slowly becoming as evil as the Imperium was.
3 Fabius Bile and his new men.
Guy is evil and we never did find out what he is up too. But I think we should since he will probably create a race of men who can use chaos and not be influenced or mutated by it. Because that would give al of chaos a huge boost if it had one species that can use it without all the bad side effects.
4 the soul of the fortress
I think we need to contact them because we need to coordinate with them and find out what they are doing. The Emperor is fallible, Horus Heresy is a big example of that. Don't get me wrong he is amazing and powerful but he did make mistakes. The Custodies and other institutions will follow his last orders even if new information changes things. Innovation and initiative were not a big thing in the Imperium. One big change that the Emperor would not have foreseen is the Eldar alliance with humans. Surt was surprised and he is a hidden AI.

If we got a pure of mind and soul male alpha would we give him to the VG?

VG, with ~10% of them being psykers, should have multiple highly skilled and powerful Librarians fully capable of training high end psyker.
Depends on what age they were found at. If they could somehow complete training and become safe for warp travel before passing the max age for geneseed implantation then maybe.

Oh man. Alpha+... I'm so looking forward to getting our first trained Alpha+ Psyker. Hopefully one pops before Lin dies.
At the age psykers that powerful gain active powers giving them a chance would almost certainly require that their powers go active while inside of some of the wards in our cities, and that Ridcully precogs their existence a little in advance.
Again, there's no need for them to leave Helheim system for implantation process.
My mistake.

I suppose it is possible Durin might allow a psyker which rolled 99 to be sane if by chance he also rolled that said psyker was found in a psyker city.

On average a Vangarian Guard Company should have 11 psykers almost 1 per squad so they take a large number of psykers.

Well large by normal standards small by ours.
Where's the supposed high power psykers in that? Because I see nothing to indicate that. Do you have any record of a single Beta being transferred to them? We get tables on the disposition of every major psyker assignment, and VG doesn't even get an entry. Even the Inquisition recruitment shows up in the tables, and they're far more secretive about recruitment than Astartes.

I mean we've actually even talked about filling the VG with psykers before and it was turned down as not useful. So I don't see any indication that they're getting a large benefit out of psykers, or that their psykers are much better.

From the Discord Durin has said that the Varangian Guard recruit from the Telepathica sometimes. It's also right in our agreement with the VG that they can recruit from the worlds in the Trust.

Off topic a bit. But now that we have engaged the Tyranids, do we know whether Graviton Weapons are good against them or not?

Happy Spirit Journey Formation Anniversary, oh Lord of the Dwarves! May the Durin Stone serve you better than the Arkenstone!

Also what was shot down was filling the VG with minor psykers as it would distract from their training and create an overall worse astartes.

They have the capacity to have a large librarius, and librarians get additional benefits vs a regular psyker so no not the same in the slightest. As for benefit, each squad practically having its own primaris is good as a start, but each company having a choir, among other things is a signiicant benefit.

Wait? What? Surt is an Ai????
Also, doesn't Fabius Bile absolutely hate Chaos, and wants humanity to succeed against everything else?

Le sigh. I really really want that AI to be used by Avernites at some point. That Men of Stone stc... we just super duper need to get the Mechanicus to be willing to make use of it. Its not even a Man of Iron, the really bad stuff. men of stone are safe-ish. One day, we'll hopefully get there. Probably in that next thread. Assuming it doesn't take till the last third, which might be its own quest? Not sure how that's going to work.
