I think if we keep trying and succeeding at progressive things. Like the conclave and getting advance tech to the 3 largest human polities. Helping the Eldar not die. Just helping the galaxy when we can. Maybe contact the fortress of solitude and get them to work with us.
I get the feeling that it's a bit larger scale than that.

Resing the big G, Ahrah's thing not turning into a total mess the Dragon being bodied by something before it can go on a rampage that kinda thing.

For me? Ensuring there is at least the 9 (plus Byzantium) founding worlds surviving until the Big E comes back.

Low

i think we got a middle ending for Arhra. We got a major favor and the only reason the Eldar were able to help out is because we were able to warn them. So I don't think it was the success as the throne of decay but not a total wash.

As for the other stuff we are going to divine Guilliman wound and hopefully find something to help Saint Lin. Reminds me we should contact the Avernite races too help boost Saint Lin.

The next thread will be named Sparks (best) ashes (middle) and Midnight (bad) depending on how well we do.
Ohhhh. That's good to know. Do we have any idea when that cut-off is supposed to happen? Like, is it by a specific turn number, year, once the current crop of stuff is dealt with, or unknown (by us at least)?

Soon but it depends on back round rolls, what we do and what happens because of our actions. I personally think we will change when Saint Lin ascends or dies.

Well we had some luck so far. The eldar's souls are free (and lost), their new God is still alive, we had not lost the saint before his last hurrah, the seer is giving a ridiculous amount of help to the eldar, the sane humans empires did share huge amounts of tech And so far most of the apocalypse are helping hold each other in check without a 'true winner' so far.
Edit: grammar.

Dunno if the favor was affected by the results here - even for a really good end, we didn't really risk anything personally like with the Throne of Decay. The only cost to us was Ridcully's time.

More likely it has to do with us using that time for them when we have our own pressing concerns.

The events of the next half century or so will determine things.

No, wait, it's called "Sparks at Midnight" for either a good or neutral end (neutral as in there's still hope for things getting better like Guilliman getting healed or Isha rescued), while "Ashes at Midnight" is the bad end.

So, since it has come up again. I have been trying to make a list of ways to improve the strategic speed of the Trust and Sane human powers.

Ways to go faster.

Eldar favor, better warp drives.

Pros.
· Few actions needed to get.

Cons.
· Unclear if we can sharer with other faction.
· Costs a major favor.

Repair/better navigator.

Pros.
· Mostly clear action path to get.
· Can share with other factions

Cons.
· Takes a lot of actions

Design an Astronomican knockoff.

Pros.
· Biggest boost.
· Likely stacks with all other methods.
· Can share with other factions.

Cons.
· Unclear action path to acquire, start with the space laser jellyfish from way back?
· Will certainly take a lot of actions
· Extreme cost, in materials and psykers
· Absurd aggro, so we will not be able to make our own anytime soon.

Anything I am missing or overlooking?

Maybe we should do the Navigator path (once the war is over, of course). Seems like a decent compromise between being able to help others and cost/safety.

We have to send a expedition north , maybe settle the north so we can contact the Penguins to get the fish we need. Also before we do any of that get fundamental of psyker cannon.

Hum, while I understand that those guys that go to the caves have a different set of skills. I still would like to ask. Do we have avernites exploring the north? Or could we trade for some of these fishes with other people other the penguins? Like some deep water siren? I ask mostly because some background rolls like that legendary hunter probable do some stuff for the avernites.

Sir Pellanor likely goes North occasionally, but we probably need those fish in industrial quantities until we get the process down.

If there's a species north who can get the fish and offer a better deal sure, but I'm inclined to give em to the penguines anyway. They're the first line of defence and they just want to know better ways of fucking chaos.

If we try anything healing Guilliman is our best for the galaxy. Secundus is loosing against the Destroyer even with the Tau helping. I think with Guilliman they can hold and maybe even win.

@Durin
1. Does Lin's current Eldar Pantheon research include Ynnead, or do we have to do her separately due to the different circumstances of her creation?
2. If we use a major favor to get better Warp Drives from the Eldar, would they be okay with us sharing it with the other major polities at the next Grand Conclave?

I don't really see trying to heal Guilliman as significant at all. We have fairly poor odds of succeeding. Even if we do succeed it's not really adding him, it's just getting him up earlier. Keep in mind that when Isha is freed she will heal him.

So basically even if we succeeded at healing him, it would just be an advantage in having him a few years/decades earlier.

Though now I'm wondering if Lin can participate in the Isha rescue. He'd be a very powerful distraction. Sadly he likely won't live long enough to see it. Maybe some sort of divine artifact he could make would be useful to it though.

does anyone know how the Chaos powers manufacturing and shipbuild capacity works? i mean do they work like the old empire where the forge worlds made the majority of all basically everything from household items to guns and tanks and where they were the only ones who could make ships, yes i know that worlds outside forge worlds had the capacity to manufacture some items but no way near the same level of a forge world or have they done like we have and made there own factories and shipyard?

Pretty sure the Dark Mechanicus controls the vast majority of their manufacturing still. Though how far the Dark Mechanicus is spreading their stuff is iffy. I'd expect them to be even more paranoid than the normal mechanicus.
