Alpha+ being born and then summoning a daemonic incursion on Avernus?
We got two alpha + in a row once.

Alpha + being born then rolling well enough to survive and be possessed by a daemon to induce an incursion doesn't seem too out of the books.

Or Ynnead getting 2 nat 100 in a row when she faced Slaanesh.
Than a 1 loosing all those souls.
That didn't happen, go and reread that.
Yeah Slaanesh rolled duel nat 1s on its defence and reroll then Ynnead rolled a nat one on the exit.

Nobody came out of that one looking good.

Well the chance of 3 Nat 1 in a row is the same as 3 Nat 100 in a row.

A failure doesn't necessarily mean a catastrophic failure. The worst possible outcome would likely need a crit-fail.
I mean we have been fucked over by critical failures a few times now, see the Quartok propaganda thing for example. Or the rerolled one where we would have accidentally killed Aryz.

Just some random thinking, but is there any research that can make untrained, undiscovered psykers less likely to be corrupted? (I guess probably not, but it's still better to check)

By the way, what total do we need to pass to succeed at a spend time with action? Because with the -20 malus, I'm not sure if we can pass at all without omake bonuses.

Well, at least for now it seems that the vast majority of the voters for the poll are YOLO players that want to do the sea and risk everything in a single dice throw.

I am so proud of you!!!

It is pretty easy to understand, Extremely High-Risk/High-Reward action with a 58% chance of success, before applying diplomacy and omake bonus, and with no rerolls.

None of that information is in the poll, nor is the part about it being a potential bad end if the roll is bad enough. It's not a matter of understanding, it's a matter of "did they or did they not read the discussion?"

This idea of yours cannot be tested one way or the other. Do you intend to give it arbitrary weight to justify not doing Primordial Sea?

No, but the poll by itself is very low information. I am concerned about that people voting on it aren't making an informed decision.

I think it might be good for @Durin to put at least some information in the poll so we're not making decisions based on uninformed casual players' inclinations, if that's possible anyways.

Well, at least I think that we can all agree on getting the diplomacy actions for the Primordial Sea ASAP, that way we can make our final decision over a much more complete information.
