A Norn Queen? Well that's excellent news for the poison and preparing for the Nids. The Negaverse is going to be saltier though.

Negaverse Durin: "One of your Norn Queens disappeared. You have no clues what happened beyond strange claw marks in the chamber she was in."
Players: "What the fuck!? Who did this? Who could do this? Is it the Eldar? But claw marks doesn't sound like Eldar! The Dark Eldar maybe? Is there some new terrible thing in the galaxy that we don't know about?"

The tech will be stolen eventually. All we can do is delay the inevitable.
...And is delaying bad? Like plenty of people are aware and acknowledge that at least some of our tech is going to get stolen eventually but as many people don't think we should make it easier for them. Example, just because we are going to get attacked by a level 3 Waagh someday doesn't mean we should go provoking one into attacking us.

Hell if our tech got stolen by all the local chaos polities at least 100 years before in game than we'd have been in some serious trouble.

I rather hope someone does a full o-make of that....

They're the Nids that make more Nids. The loss of only just this one probably won't be a huge slowdown for the Hive Fleet since it's so big, but we basically just got a full genetic repository for this Hive Fleet. That will hopefully ensure the resulting poison will affect any organism in the Hive Fleet, including their Dreadnought.
Could we use the corpse to figure out what their existing unit list is?

Like Ridcully uses it for a postcognitive divination focus so see what it has spawned in the past, or Maximal tries to figure out its genetics.

How important are Norn Queens?

It's also great for research from them.

I don't believe the Imperium ever captured one even as a corpse, so the research possibilities beyond the poison are excellent.

Players: "Also how did that happen, a single queen's the size of a titan!"

It would be limited if we want to make the poison I think. There's only so much vivisection that could be done without destroying the sample.
Depends on how much sample is needed to make the poison.

As I said Norn queens are supposedly gigantic and what we're looking for for research is primarily genetic in nature. Hopefully there'll be enough for everyone, Nynye, Biologis and Psykers to have a piece.

also, law of cost. the poison would be warp based. so not being able to study the corpse might actually give it more oomph that using a corpse that was analyzed, since the cost paid for it was greater.

[X] Vote Suggestion 2
-[x] We have agreed to and currently in talks with Dragon's nest in forming a single polity. When combined and given all our technology, together we will be able to quadruple our current military strength. As well as giving them a boost they will also be able to upgrade. While we are all worrried about the Tyranids they are not the only problem we are facing. With a Waagh in the region expected to hit the chaos polities we need are allies even more and tech exchange will help them and us greatly. For those of you worrried about tech theft we do have agreements helping Dragon's nest with their spy problem.

High Grandmaster Ridcully spent two years working to ensure that as many of the local chaos powers as possible have seers detect the approach of Hive Fleet Grábakr. He tells you that he has ensured that Amir-ka, More'lumix's Realm and the Princedom of Assour know of the approaching Shadow of the Warp. Unfortunately it seems that none of them realize exactly what is coming, due to the fact that there are few who have fought the full power a a Tyranid Hive Fleet in the region.

ah, we have an issue. they know whats coming, but don't understand the scale of the encroaching menace.

I would imagine that all the very smart/old people suddenly up and leaving would be a sign for the not-quite-as-smart-or-old people that they should leave too.....

If only telling young people or showing them a example got young people to do the right thing. Or just people in general really. The amount of teenagers I have seen because of stupid things or the amount of people who don't take thier medicine. I see diabetic patients who eat too much sugar and people who have siezures fro not taking their medicine. Don't get me started on antivaxers.

I'm not seeing anything about that in the update.
probly info given in the discord....maybe we should put down a post somewhere that just holds all of the info durin has give (recently...otherwise the post would be like 4 pages long or more) in the discord just so that people have a CHANCE of learning about this stuff without being dependent on others accidentally referencing it.

even if its just SOME of it, it would still be helpful im sure.
