Yeah it's what Enjou and I said earlier. Which is good and bad. Good because Amirka will most likely help against Bloodbusta bad because they will mauled doing so.

I'm not sure if they will help against Bloodbusta, though. They might not understand what exactly is coming, but the path the Shadow in the Warp takes is something they can predict, so they'll know it's coming for them. They can also divine the aftermath and see what has happened after the Shadow is gone. So Amir'ka is likely to figure out that things are about to go very bad for them, and might be inclined to focus more on defense.

Though I expect the other Chaos polities to go "not my problem" since the path doesn't go through their territory, and they've got other worries.

I think Amirka will not take the shadow in the warp too seriously. The orks are a immediate known threat that they can get concessions out of helping whichever polity gets attacked. Even if not they may not understand how serious the threat is till it's too late. Since Amirka seems to deal with politics more than with actual rational planning.

I would like to comment that rid's helping the chaos diviners see it really ties into the whole "god of blind seers and divinations" thing.....this is probably the kind of thing he will be doing (but for us I hope) if he transcends. (btw, the theory that rid's is actually tzeetch before his birth is crazy...but honestly that IS the kind of thing tzeetch is known for. If this WERE the case then maybe the reason why he goes insane is cas he accidentally learned too much about the primal sea when he ascends.... (that is, he accidentally looks at lin's notes without being ready for it) :(

They are chaos, it takes a Paragon trait for them to focus entirely on rational planning. While politics may be their folly every other chaos leader has one. Barring the really dangerous ones like Turoq.

@Durin
1 what is Abbadon folly?
2 will a level 3 Waagh cause all orks to go to Bloodbusta?
3 what are the chances Amirka will help whoever gets attacked by the Waagh?

That is not good at all , if or when all orks go to Bloodbusta that will give him 500,000 more escorts 5,000 more capital ships, 250,000 roks and hundreds of hulks.

This is the exact reason why I strongly suggested doing a fanning the flames action to extend the time it would take for the Orks to unite.
That will not help it's too late. I asked that when we first found out. Also assasinating him with a minor favor from the Eldar would not have a high chance. It's too late to do anything to stop the Waagh from forming.

Fanning just plain doesn't make sense against what would form into a T3 Waaagh at this point in our development regardless. It only delays the formation, does not work forever, and, very importantly, leads to the creation of many more veteran Orks in the eventual Waaagh. Given that it will be fighting primarily developed Chaos polities (which as a rule do not have a particularly good growth rate) a high proportion of veterans and a somewhat later start date would let the Orks smash them.

    -[x] We have agreed to and currently in talks with Dragon's nest in forming a single polity. When combined and given all our technology, together we will be able to quadruple our current military strength. As well as giving them a boost they will also be able to upgrade. While we are all worrried about the Tyranids they are not the only problem we are facing. With a Waagh in the region expected to hit the chaos polities we need are allies even more and tech exchange will help them and us greatly. For those of you worrried about tech theft we do have agreements helping Dragon's nest with their spy problem.

    -[X] Provide Dragon's Nest will all Tier 1 and 2 technology that you have access to along with Tier 3 Technology that is intended for use by Astartes.
    -[X] Point out that the Blood Dragons are still dealing with significant numbers of spies from Chaos polities, possibly including agents of the Alpha Legion. Until Grandmaster Ridcully and the Inquisition can flush them out, giving the Blood Dragons higher tier technologies poses a great risk to the Trust's future security.
    -[X] Argue that the higher-tier technology transfer will not help the Blood Dragons in the coming war against the Tyranids, as they will not have sufficient time necessary to upgrade the industries required to construct and maintain the high-tier technologies.
    -[X] Waiting until the end of the current Tyrannic War will let us assess the future strategic situation better, as we will be certain which the local Chaos polities will continue to be security threats to the Trust.
    [X] Semi-Compromise Option 1/2

    -[X] Higher-tier technology transfer will not significantly help the Blood Dragons in the coming war against the Tyranids, as they will not have sufficient time necessary to upgrade the industries required to construct and maintain the high-tier technologies en masse.
    -[X] The higher tier technologies intended for Astartes, however, should both be implementable to great effect within the short time frame as well as being exclusive in use enough that they would be difficult to steal.

I suggested trying to put it off just long enough until the Nids got here since the other chaos polities wouldn't have to deal with that crap before the Nids got here.

@Durin a couple of things

1 Do we have enough of a Norn Queen to make both a Complete examination and to give the Nynye enough material for the venom Without Drawbacks)?

2 How big the Norn Queens are?

we might need multiple instances to make a complete examination...but durin might let us do a incomplete one.

supposedly about titan-sized....then again that was the old nid's....

@Durin:
1) How astonished was Klovis-Ultan when he saw that HWWO actually succeeded?
2) Is HWWO willing to do other jobs for us?
3) Does the Inquisition have a list of things they might like HWWO to grab?
4) Ditto for the Mechanicus.
