IIRC Durin has said that using the Psychic Canon inside the atmosphere isn't all that easy.
IIRC he said using the Psychic Cannon would need adjustments, but they wouldn't be big adjustments. I think a laser to burn the atmosphere ahead of it was posited by one of the players.

And the rest of what I said about Ordinatus stands. It's still a great thing to implement versus the tyranids even without the Psychic Cannon.
 
A Nova Cannon would explode inside the atomsphere at a stupidly short range no matter what you do if you even have a tangential connection to physics.
 
Giving my opinion on some stuff while I'm putting together a plan...

1. I don't think Thunder Warriors will be able to have a big impact on the coming war with the Tyranids. At most we'll be able to raise the one regiment, which won't be enough to matter. The Djinn Skein will have a bigger impact, so I'd prefer to do that.
Actually the action is for figuring out a way to train TWs. As people have pointed once we figure out how to train them then we can start producing them on a far larger scale. Note that since we can make them from psykers as well we can get train some in biomancy to help alleviate the reflex issue and improve their strengths. The sooner we start the better.

That said we have confirmation that we have 30 years until they get here so we can actually do both TW and Djinn Skein so I suggest TW fist since that would give us more time to implement more TW. Also important to note that we may also be able to extend the time before the Nids get here by warning Amrika about the coming nids to prevent them from wasting their military and using fanning the flames on the Orks to prevent them from fighting the other polities until the nids get here.

So, one thing I'm not seeing in plans right now that would be a good boost that would be not only somewhat quick to implement but is now also much more affordable - getting our PDF into power armor. Do we want to consider taking one of those actions now? It could be made to fit into a Personal Attention action.
1: This is wrong though. It'll take 19 years for the initial recruitment. The Nids will show up in 30 years at the earliest.
2, I would prioritize Transonic Blades over Power armor personally.
 
Im fine with it either way, but do note that the nids are said to take less than a decade to get through amirka. That means there is a risk of them arriving within 30 years. We should start the djinn skein now. Do twarriors later.

We probably won't get an appreciable output before everything hits, unfortunately.
We still need to do it at some point. And the sooner we do it, the more titans we have.

Its a little silly to keep putting it off, especially since we invested so much time in to getting titans ready to be made.
 
Also, we could try to speed up the Titans by throwing more resources at them, perhaps?

Not the factories, but the Titans themselves.

They're really useful things.
 
With 30-40 years, we can start both this turn, to be honest.
Think that would be best. We can use one personal action for TW since it has a year less and it would seem like it would actually be beneficial in the long since we would likely use a lot of munitorum actions to equip more of our forces in power armor or implenting more military tech anyway.

This is a complete nonstarter. Its logistically impossible, a massive security risk, probably wouldn't be accepted and wouldn't be approved by the Trust even if it were a good idea. That said, we can contact the Imperial Remnants and trade some tech for military support.
