Except that there are other biologists in the Trust who do not have access to Avernus and thus do not have a million year backlog of Old One lab results to go through. Niflheim knows a thing or three about genetic tinkering. Either use Diplomacy or at the next High Council meeting ask them to do it.

The knowledge gained from studying and improving the Thunder Warriors is also very useful. Not only would it make Maximal a better positioned member of the Mechanicus it is likely to help push him to the next rank the one Thranth had before he got his promotion to living saint equivalent. Also studying and learning to improve on a process would also make Maximal more of a scientist as well if one more spected towards biology instead of general science.

Okay here are 3 different trade plans. The first two are about trade without increasing our debt and leaving us with some promethium income.
First plan sells no promethium to Midgard and keeps a healthy per turn income. The second sells some based on having a net 0 promethium income after last expenditures for new actions based on the turn that just finished. The third is to grab 100 billion a year after levy and requires us to go into debt with Midgard as it maxes metal and promethium income. We have a small positive net promethium income on turn starts but action costs will push us negative each turn until the next council meeting when we redo all trade again.

Edit-
Added a 4th plan that sends the max promethium and metal to Midgard but does not put us in debt buying thrones instead only buying trade value. It will see us decrease our promethium reserves but is about 37 billion more thrones a turn by maxing promethium trade, and only 16 billion thrones per turn less then the debt plan.

Considering it's Avernus, and bleeding-edge psychic research is our bread and butter, and we have tons of DAoT tech, I think we can do better than the old "damned-psyker brain plugged into the engine while a blank pilots it and fires waves of hate" model.

This is my preference currently, as it prevents us from reducing our promethium reserves too much before the next council meeting where we redo trade while also getting us a lot of throne income and keeping some Midgard credits on hand to trade at the next trade session to reduce our debts to other planets.

The Psi trone is to control the Knight. The things used for Titan is not a Psi Throne it is a regular throne using a blank as a pilot and the psykers are just the power source.

I will say again, this is a pattern. Each time we buy enough resources to "make the things we want available", but then we get to a point where those resources aren't enough, and we have to spend an action to get those extra resources we thought we wouldn't need. Continuing this pattern is a bad thing, while ending it would be a good thing, so we should get MORE resources than what we think we need.

I agree with the concept, but am sceptical enough to realize that difficulties in execution have already been foreshadowed. Waaagh Ironbusta was directed into Amir-Ka by their own Tzeentchian faction and Amir-Ka plans to launch another military campaign the instant they win this war.
While most of the Tzeentchians involved may think they are provoking winnable wars to influence politics, they are actually betraying Amir-Ka to Tzeentch's plan to get humans off of Avernus, by weakening the powers that stand between us and the Tyrannid fleet.

If we warn Amir Ka it might do something, but the Tzeentchians will use their influence to discredit our claims.

Proposed plan: 1. Divine who exactly the major figures of this conspiracy are.
2. Send Commisar Sepet to assasinate prominent Tzeentchians in Amir Ka, with preference for figures of the conspiracy and people who speak against our claims, or just assasinate Tzeentchians who can make themselves listened to in the wider political sphere. While also warning everyone in the area.
3. Find another Ork to unify Ironbusta's domain while the Tyrannids are busy chewing through Amir Ka.

The Warp has overtaken them so hard that their capacity for reason or even basic speech is no longer present. They're little more than deranged bat-monsters with an overactive hunting instinct. I think the non-psyker soldiers are going to be a necessary part of the order of battle until someone manages to more reliably replicate the blank tolerant psyker variant that Aria is. Under extreme conditions it would be desirable to have normal soldiers to rotate between screening our psykers and resting within a blank field.

Also on that note: I would offer my vote to anyone who manages to work in talking to the governor of niflhiem about colonizing the ice world in our system, we even have a second reason to talk to them now, as they might be well suited to figuring out the Thunder warrior research, and might even be able to create a blank tolerant variant on the technique.

Very much doubt we will be able to make a blank or null version of the Thunder Warriors. At least not for a very long time because of every attempt to do so killed the blank.

There is a link to it on the front page. As for the conspiracy it is very unlikely. Tyranids are one of the things no one whats on Avernus. They are more likely to trigger the galaxy cleanse then humans are. This was simply a power play by internal factions that weren't expecting the Splinter fleets to make it through to our location. As just so everyone remembers this splinter fleet is the size of the full hive fleets that were around during the age of the Imperium.
