Delaying the action for when Lin is about to die is a bad idea. The action uses Learning, which is one of the stats that's reduced by his old age.
And risking him before that is even worse. Something is going to happen when he dies what it is we don't know. With the math now done it is best to wait till near the end either:
1. He lives and we get valuable information,
2. He lives and hit transcendent,
3. He lives and then he dies later and what ever is building up in him happens,
4. He just dies,
5. He dies and becomes corrupted and we lose whatever was going to happen, 6. He dies becomes corrupted and something horrible happens from his death.

Also with his traits as the saint of wisdom I doubt age is going to lower his score.

I get the feeling that that was supposed to be a list of different outcomes, but its rather hard to read that.....

No it isn't. The lower his stats, the lower his chance of survival. Doing the action before his stats degrade is the safer path.
the point though is that we would rather get his other actions done first...the sea has enough risk/danger that increasing the cahnce of failure is worth it when compared to the alternative of risking his death at lowered chance of failure but also losing out on the other things he could do instead. (IE: I would rather that we "cash out" and get Lin to do research which has near-guranteed chance of paying off.

Edited it a bit to make it more clear. And like the last sentence in both the old and edited version he has the trait saint of wisdom is what gives him his high learning it is tied to his sainthood which has only grown stronger as he ages. So I very much doubt his stat will go down at all.

Fixed it so the list is actually readable.

Onto other things, what critter to do this turn now that Maximal is free. There's plenty of options as always.

There's doggos Embers in the Dusk: A Planetary Governor Quest (43k) | Page 4712

Big smart Dragons Embers in the Dusk: A Planetary Governor Quest (43k) | Page 4062

Invisible birds (to really tick off the biologis)

Sapient trady sneks Embers in the Dusk: A Planetary Governor Quest (43k) | Page 4623

Invisible crocodiles

Vector birds.

Sun beetles (2 year action)

Anger Lizards.

UTTER BASTARDS!

This is my short list at least.

to make 8 billion Thrones, 410 million AM, 4.4 million EM
to maintain 400 million Thrones, 20 million AM and 220,000 EM plus reduction in several production fields
so you could do it but it would bankrupt you in short order
I just noticed, but I notice we now technically have the budget to Banishment Rune ward every city and hive on Avernus.

This is from the discord channel "questions for Durin":

"
@Durin : I recall that we destressed rotbart with the vacation...was that just a story-thing or did that do any mechanical stuff?

(2): do you have any plans to introduce stress as a mechanic? perhaps as a way to push a certain type of action at the cost of risking heath/other?(edited)

I have stress as an invisible mechanic

Also doing a double, post cause this is mega importants, but we gotta pop a rids on seeing what this big threat is...cause it sounds serious.

It sounds more like our General in the understanding that the Trust is due an attack and the most likely forces which are quite a few are probably recovered enough for a attack or see the threat a combined Trust + Dragon's Nest merger would be and want to stop us. So Ridcully should be able to tell us who it is. Something else I think we should look into is who that spy that almost got a blueprint out of the trust is from. It was implied that a bigger threat has turned their eye to us so finding that out might be important.

Basically Rids get to seeing shit its go time baby!

Deffinitely grand cruiser for the Black Ships. That's a tough capital ship in it's own right. Battleships are specialised for war but we pretty much never want a Black Ship heading towards the sound of guns - it's a school bus - if we could fit the wards etc. onto something even smaller, cheaper* and better at bugging out we would.

*Long term we want enough of these to visit every world in the Imperial Trust and Dragons Nest on the order of every decade.

I vote for Tradey Sneks or Utter Bastards, but the latter miiiight be pretty dangerous. @Durin would we be able to increase Maximal's bodyguard if he goes after particularly dangerous wildlife?

Ok so enough people fight me on doubling I am going to change to even split since that is the second option I think would help.

Diplomacy anyone care about assasinanting because if not I will do some more trades for thrones.

Ridicully not much feedback on that but I think we should do the fortress of the soulless for so many reasons. I am doing Vects plans of attack because I think that we will get attacked. Demagogue is now the smallest chaos polity in the region and has something to trade that all demons want a demon world.

I think we should contact the Euryales first. As noted, they are tradey snakes, which means they have contacts with other peoples of Avernus. Those people might be able to supply us with something that can help Lin on his spirit quest. It's unlikely that the ones close to us are the only ones who can help.

I think this is the plan I'd go for.
