Excellent.

Last questions from me.

@Durin
1. How quickly would the other polities want us to get the fish for Navigators and do the Black Ships?
2. Have the other polities given their notes from their attempts at reverse engineering said ships?
3. If yes are they helpful in making it easier on them?
4. Does Scott/Tranth/Rotbart/Ridcully think redesigning the max security vault to take advantage of the new designs we got be worth while or not?

@Durin, why, as a GM, make it so that they can't be used as Ordinatus? They're not any more dangerous than a Nova Cannon Ordinatus, just focused on daemons instead of material enemies.
actually this came from preventing it from being used as orbital fire support, and with the right attachments you may be able to use it as Ordinatus, you just need another weapon that clears the atmosphere first

1. Black Ships are preiority, fish secondary
2. yes they have
3. a bit, you are using a totally differnt system however so only a bit
4. no, cant think of any of the techs that are particularly essential for it

Psi-Titans are now concievably on the table alongside Thunder Warrior mechanized shock troops- this has been so much win.

Actually, we know the Dragon's psyker powers (I'm pretty sure but uncertain it's been outright referred to as Thuum) is tremendously physically straining. But Thunder Warriors are probably the most physically impressive specimens of humanity outside Trueborne Astartes. Thunder Warrior psykers might be able to manage limited Thuum use, and isn't that exciting.

Ship Scale Neutron Guns Development Notes
Found in one of the Data-Jewels on Roskilde these weapons are complex with an enormous power draw, these designs were prototypes intended for use with an annihilation reactor. Currently they are works in progress, riddled with flaws making them not viable combat weapons but if they could be completed they would be a powerful and exceedingly long ranged weapon for those ships able to supply them with power.

Ultimate Shield Development Notes
Found in one of the Data-Jewels on Roskilde was a work in progress on creating a far more effective void shield, one that would require the power of a Deus' antimatter reactor to power and be able to shrug off pretty much any conventional weapon. Currently they are far from being completed, with design having stalled on encountering several major obstacles.

It looks like Roskilde was not as far along in their work as I had hoped. Given they seemed to be working on components for other ships. That said, those research notes we found likely mean we're going to be seeing widespread use of AM going forward.

@Durin Can we reuse the decrypted Data Jewels, or replicate the technology used to create them? I imagine they'd be a useful medium for storing Saint Lin's findings in the data vault, along with any other dangerous knowledge, like the Men of Stone schematics.

Why?

We're just reaching their normal.
No, we're greater than all of them except for the Threnody Dragons. Azure Isle sirens are an easy kill, just gotta boil away the oceans with orbital bombardment. Trolls and mycenids are small in number and primitive, nynye would be inevitably ground down by our numbers and superior tech, if at a substantial cost on our part.

I'll amend my previous statement. Trolls and mycenids would be wiped out if they stayed in territories where we operate. Nynye, Threnody Dragons, and Azure Isle sirens can survive Avernus turning the difficulty up pretty easily.

We do not have the ability to boil away the entire ocean to say nothing of the fact Avernus would fuck up for it.

Even then the Sirens have a ton of tricks they haven't even begun to show us like the True Runes.

The trolls are extremely numerous and can probably destroy Dis pretty easily if they worked together.

The Nynye would just go under ground.

The trolls would be fine, unless we blow up a mountain there's nothing we can do to hurt them. Similar to the Mycenids unless we blow up the entire ever glades nothing we do is going to impact them in the slightest.

Come on man these people were made for and designed by Avernus. On their home turf there are very few ways we can match or beat them to again say nothing of the World.

We're still not strong enough to fight a trained alpha + with perfect stability hiding in an unknown area of the ocean.

Vis-a-vis psychic cannon ordinatus, we could just use a telekinetic choir to clear the path of the shot, and bringing it down upon the head of an exalted seems like an excellent way to deal with Daemon incursions. I was honestly picturing installing a ring of these as part of our northerly cities defence grids. Perhaps even offering crewed ordinatus versions to the penguin's as auxiliaries. I'm sure that by using gravetics we could make it work without the telekinetics.

1. Pretty sure ocean-boiling is pretty basic. It's the scale that naval weapons work at. "Shatter continents" is something that's said in regard to ship weapons sometimes. Exterminatus can be done with orbital bombardment and that can boil away oceans.
2. You were challenging our equality with races, not Avernus. Don't bring Avernus into this. It's like saying a baby is equal to an adult human because the baby has an adult protector.

1. And I'm pretty sure we did this already back when I wrote that ocean planet. 40K loves exaggeration, but very bloody rarely do those exaggerations match reality at least in embers. Since we're not destroying the planets every time we launch one of our inaccurate bombardments I'd say our weapons are far from shattering continents and if we're using exterminatus levels of fire power against the Sirens then we really are fucked.
2. Why should I not, the only way we have of killing any of them are things that bring in the world. Sure we could probably beat them, but only if we're willing to poison the everglades, blow up the spine, boil the oceans away to nothing and carve a gigantic hole in Lindon and expend tipple the soldiers for every one of them. If they're babies then we must be a foetus. In fact given our current stage of development that's actually pretty accurate.

Nano-Forge +100$ Relic Material Production
The Nano-Forge is an incredibly advanced forge that uses nanites to construct items on a atomic scale. While time consuming and requiring a skilled Magos to use this allows for the production of some of the most complex and advanced technological components at a far greater rate then conventional means.

hahah holy shit. given we have way less RM boosters than others, that +100% is likly going to be a pretty huage boost. like, it might actually double it since i don't think we have any.

Disintegration guns
One of the weapons that the Eldar provided the schematics for, Disintegration guns are highly advanced rifles with incredible destructive power, able to disintegrate a target into its component molecules. While the price greatly restricts their availability, Disintegration Guns are another good option for your ranged heroes to wield in battle.

oh hey look! something to spend RM on.

Enthalpic Weapons
Enthalpic weapons create vortices of reverse-flowing time, if only by an instant, and were found in the Data-Jewels on Diephobe. These vortices transport energy and matter from the future within the vortices into the present, causing mass devastation to anything within, including space-time itself. The vortices' sizes are based on the weapons that create them, though the complexity of the required weapon goes up as it gets bigger. In effect Enthalpic weapons are one of the few weapons you have encountered near as deadly as vortex weaponry, and lack Vortex Weaponry volatility and one shot nature. On the other hand they are even more complex and expensive to produce.

something to spend lots. of rm on. pity we have like, 3? heroes who use ranged weapons. though maybe upgrading minayves implanted weapons. Cheshire might appreciate one of thease.

Chrono-Displacer
An inversion of temporal stasis technology provied by the Eldar the Chrono-Displacer allows a user to move forward or backward on their personal timeline. Most commonly this is used to instantly reposition to where you intend to be in a few seconds be or to 'rewind' your physical condition and unmake an injury. A skilled user is almost impossible to kill or contain. It is not without drawbacks however. Most significantly the Chrono-Displacer is an extremely sophisticated device, rivalling Super-Exitus Rifles in complexity and cost. Secondly is a sharp mass limit it can effect. Only the lighest of power armours can be worn in conjunction with the Chrono-Displacer. Finally while it can erase injuries to the user damage to the device itself not only renders it inoperable but has a chance to cause exotic consequences such as being frozen in time or catapulted into the future.

another thing to spend RM on! jane will love it, not sure about our other heroes. It takes a very specific build to use this thing. one the other hand, I suspect that next we meet there will be decent armor designed to work with it.

Advanced Singularity Thrusters and research notes

oh hey! something that might up our small ships survival odds by giving them a dodge chance. we might not lose all our escorts every fight with this!

Psi-Throne Mechanicum:
A version of a throne Mechanicum designed to be compatible with psykers provided by the Eldar. This Throne and its linked psychic circuitry are designed to allow a Knights pilot to channel their powers though the Titan to greater effect, though only the most powerful of psykers can draw real use of of it.

welp, we're going full super robot. so talking to durin on discord, it lets a psyker treat the knight as if it was their own body. so they can use powers on it that can normally only be used for self buffing. This includes biomancy powers if they are good enofgh. I leave it to your imagination to imagine just how utterly broken that is. That said, you need to be at least delta level to use this thing. So the canidate pool is around 170ish. so likely used in very small numbers. on the other hand, ophilla might find this thing useful for the survivability boost if nothing else.

The Psychic Cannon
The Eldar have provided the designed for the Psychic Cannon, an Nova Cannon sized weapon designed for use against Warp Entities, that is capable of massed banishment of deamons and significantly disrupting most targets. This weapon is impossibly complex and uses unknown and exotic interactions to work but the Eldar have provided enough schemtics to replicate it.

oh hey! you know how those demon ships all have aggravatingly high armor? letting them soak up frustrating amounts of fire? Not anymore motherfuckers! also we might be able to find a way to use it on the surface. we just need to use something to blast a vacum for it to fire through first. would be a rather hilarious surprise during the next incursion.

Nanite repair system
Taken from a massive dark age star ship known as the Scavenger Bot, an ancient ship that at some point was set loose to eternally upgrade itself...well until the Eldar destroyed it. However, its repair system sparked the interest of the Eldar who did it, taking the design as a trophy, but if put to use it would decrease the maintenance of ships as well as providing repairs to them, reducing the number of totally destroyed ships even if it will not be of use in combat directly.

ok, now this one is just unfair. its an upkeep and attrition reducer, on top of everything else. Its somewhat unsexy, and very subtle, but its essentially upping the effective fleet cap at the same time that the fleet power is going through the roof.

Navigator Development Guide
One of the Data-Jewels on Diephobe contained a how to guide on making and breeding Navigators. From what Scott can tell with this guide all that is needed before the Imperial Trust can start making entirely new Navigator Houses is samples from the correct Avernite Wildlife. Given that all that is needed is a fish native to the Polar Regions moving north and making contact with the Penguins has grown significantly in priority.

Hahaha.... holy shit. Now I think there are still enough navigators around that this is not vital, but this is still big. It also means we may solve our personal navigator shortage.

Dark Age Gravity Theorems (+30 to rolls to gain Gravity based Fundamentals and half required time)
One of the Data-Jewels found on Diephobe contains a scientific database containing a massive amount of theoretical information about gravity, including both proven facts and a wide range of theories with some level of supporting evidence, which is also included. While not immediately useful Tranth tells you that this information will give him a massive advantage on any attempts to studying the fundamentals of any gravity based technology.

Dark Age Antimatter Theorems (+30 to rolls to gain Antimatter based Fundamentals and half required time)
One of the Data-Jewels found on Roskilde contains a scientific database containing a massive amount of theoretical information about antimatter, including both proven facts and a wide range of theories with some level of supporting evidence, which is also included. While not immediately useful Tranth tells you that this information will give him a massive advantage on any attempts to studying the fundamentals of any antimatter based technology.

Dark Age Immaterium Theorems (+30 to rolls to gain Warp based Fundamentals and half required time)
One of the Data-Jewels found on Diephobe contains a scientific database containing a massive amount of theoretical information about the Immaterium, including both a handful of proven facts and a wide range of theories with some level of supporting evidence, which is also included. While not immediately useful Tranth tells you that this information will give him a massive advantage on any attempts to studying the fundamentals of any Warp based technology, which include several of humanities most important technologies.

Nerd stuff. A big shot in the arm for everyones RnD programs. Likely to pay massive dividends down the line.

More nerd stuff. The forge empire, and or Vulcan is likely going to finish these.

The Navigator's Eyepiece
Found in one of the Data-Jewels on Diephobe, the Navigator's eye piece looks more like a confusing eye patch, but in the place of a patch is a mass of lenses and psyically active crystals. When secured over the Navigator's Eye the device activates, and effectively helps focus the Navigator's vision, and provides a suit of supplementary tools to that effect, allowing the navigators to filter out unneeded information to read warp currents to better effect. A complex item not just to create, but also operate the device necessitates a great deal of training and constant adjustment by its wearer to fine tune itself to the ever changing warp. However, in skilled hands a navigator can increase the speed a ship passes through the Imperium considerably.

Nice. Combos superbly with the instruction manual for making more navigators.

The Grand Conclave Part Seven: The Data-Jewels and the Eldar
…it's beautiful.

Chrono-Displacer got in, yay. The Master Last Hunters should enjoy the upgrade.

Can't decide which is more critical: the Nano-Forge and Nanite repair system or Navigator Development Guide and Navigator's Eyepiece. The first pair means we can actually afford to build all the shinies we just got. The latter improve strategic speed.

I feel like including it into general defense grid would not be worth it - it's a kilometers-sized weapon that costs a shitton and is not very useful outside of Daemon Incursions. Building Ordinatus Avernus for activation during Incursions seems like a very fine idea, though - we can also put runes everywhere and make it a carrier for Psy-Knights.

I dont like the Thunder warriors. To me, they are more expensive, short lived, and faster to make Space Marines, possibly Veteran equivalents.

Good if you need Elites, fast, or need to ease up pressure on your SMs to allow them to repopulate sufficiently. And can afford it.

Useless to us, except perhaps for the warp resistance part (which makes no sense), but we have Wards. Its probably much cheaper and more effective to Ward a SM Veteran then make TWs for psyker hunting.

The most value I see in them is for human augmentation research.

Nano-Forge +100% Relic Material Production
Jackpot!

This made canon?!

Poor, poor space time.

Advanced Singularity Thrusters and research notes
-They realized that by projecting a gravitational well a little ways off of a ship they could make the ship 'fall' in that direction, while the thrust gained in this manner was not exceptional compared to conventional systems, its ability to change the vector of small ships without losing speed-
This is not how gravity works. At all.

By the time the creators of the system were killed research was ongoing in adapting the system to larger craft, but was facing challenges as the creators tried to compensate for the structural strain caused by the uneven pull of gravity on large objects.
Like normal thrusters dont do far worse.

It might require a different superstructure, one more resistant to tidal stresses then compression, but that shouldn't be hard.

Greater concern is the interference with inertial dampeners and artificial gravity on the ship.

Nanite repair system
Great! We have so many ships for our size that maintenance was become a serious issue.

Also, Stellaris expy :D

Dark Age Gravity Theorems (+30 to rolls to gain Gravity based Fundamentals and half required time)
We are doing these soon it seems. We have other reductions for this and lots of possible applications and improvements.

Dark Age Antimatter Theorems (+30 to rolls to gain Antimatter based Fundamentals and half required time)
Will be useful once we start using AM in earnest, but that is a while away.

Dark Age Immaterium Theorems (+30 to rolls to gain Warp based Fundamentals and half required time)
! This is HUGE! Revolutionary really. Endless potential and massive benefits, especially in Tranths hands.

The single most valuable gain so far, long term.

Navigator Development Guide
Whoah.

Better Navigators, and the means to make and maintain sufficient numbers of them.

Ties with the above for importance. Better short term, worse long term.

Also cripples their monopoly on FTL, when we can make new houses if they push too much. In the Imperium they exploited their monopoly as much as they could, though our house hopefully doesn't.

Ultimate Shield Development Notes
Interesting, but not for us. Vulcan will take care of it probably.

Even better Deus... scary.

The Navigator's Eyepiece
And one more bonus to our FTL speed. Perfect.

All those empty Data Jewels. Asking the Eldar to open them was a very good idea, imagine the salt if we tried it the hard way and stumbled on them first.

@Durin

1) What kind of psychic techniques can we channel through this thing, is it just banishment or can we use with other skills such as our anti-ork tech ability

2) Do the cannon's act as a general amplifier (charging up any skill channelled through it) or does it need to be built and designed to use a specific skill (and only works with that 1 specific skill)
