@Durin What are the odds that More'Lumix can pull off the same diviner strategy that Turoq did given her Tzeentchian origin and specialisation in sorcerers?

@Durin, it costs a god to power miracles, but if the caster is a natural psyker, would miracles up to the power level of the psyker be free?

Shit

Turoq's Assault Part Five: Victory
T=18:00:00-19:02:00

with the entire ground forces of the Atlas fleet being concentrated on single Nomad City containing little of six percent of the forces garrisoned on Muspelheim. Twenty hours after the assault began almost a tenth of the city had fallen into the hands of Atlas,

2) WHAT
3) WHAAAAAAT

Yeah its cool I guess.

The only real loss is the manpower/leadership, the ships and material can be converted with time from the scrap field that was created.

1 billion. none of their transports made it out. the six grand cruisers that escaped is the super majority of the assets that they recovered.
Nah the 1 billion was there losses taking the nomad city.

All their dudes are dead yes, but before they all died, how many were already dead.

Chaos.

The only thing we can do with the scrap is fire it into the sun.

I don't think any of them teleported away from Muspelheim's Cities before their fleets got rek't, so probably no tech for them.

if Atlas has any rivals i think they will jumb at this to wipe them out while Chron rivals will see there loses as a chance to raid them or maybe to wipe the out

Can someone tell me how much a squadron and flotilla is?

This fight was not decided in space, but in Nurgle's Garden. Everything after that was clean up.
His kitchen actually, but fair point.

Good showing by Surt. Hope he gets a trait out of it.

The best thing about this campaign is that the Trust isn't going to get any fame or reputation out of it. This was not our victory. It was just the Empire Of Ashes deciding, in their ineffable councils, to stomp on a chaos invasion.

They had 200 Skittari armies...how much of that is 1 billion dead Skittari?
Field army is 100M, so 1B is 10 armies, see "Rank and Organisation Hierarchies" at the bottom of Military informational threadmark.
Can someone tell me how much a squadron and flotilla is?
See the same ("Escort Flotilla (30-100), Cruiser Squadron (2-12, 2 Grand, 4 Heavy, 6 Battle, 8 Normal, 12 Light)")

Also @looseanon please don't doublepost, use edit if you want to add something to your post.

I may not of read much of Warhammer lore as other people here, but it always feels like Skitarii take the highest casualties in most conflicts they are in compared to other factions, almost like how the medium often dies on the first night in Town of Salem.

Skitarii play the role of Guard in Mechanicus fights, so they obviously tend to die in droves.

@Durin
1. I take it Atlas didn't manage to nab anything?
1. nothing of value
@Durin What are the odds that More'Lumix can pull off the same diviner strategy that Turoq did given her Tzeentchian origin and specialisation in sorcerers?
possible, however if she cant make deamon spies out of her own soul like Turoq it would be a lot harder. Also your defences are starting to improve enough that it becomes a lot more challanging, Turoq attacked in the period where 2/3 of your worlds were colonies that needed additional recources to protect, that period is ending

not quite free but a lot cheaper

generally forge worlds have a lot of defence pacts with other chaos polities that they supply, and even without those chaos has a habit of jumping on anyone who just took a forge world to prevent them getting a major advantage and to get it yourself, so chaos poloties only take a forge world if they think that can both take it and beat off all of their rivals attacking them jsut after

they lost another billion or so in the first boarding attempt
So at current rates they'd have capture 8/10ths of a Nomad city.

@Durin
1. Has the city taken any damage Surt thinks is irreparable?
2. How bad were the Eldar's casualties?
3. Unless this is for an aftermath post how long do we estimate it will take to rebuild the fleet since our ground casualties seem to be negligible.

you are right here, people hearing about this war will consider it just another intervention stages by the Empire of Ashes, and then start debating if it was to protect you, kill Turoq or set up a domino chain

1. no, the damage was entirely replaceable, they kept the chaos forces out of the actually valuble regions
2. not that bad, less then 50k living Eldar lives
3. 10-20 years

@Durin I think you missed these questions.
1. Knowing a daemon's True Name can corrupt a person just by knowing it. Would the devout follower of a god become more faithful if they knew their god's True Name?
2. Would they become more powerful if they did?
3. A person that hosts a daemon is a daemonhost. What do you call a person that hosts a god? A godhost?
4. I have an idea. A god gives us its True Name. If it gets in trouble that it can't get out of on its own, it gives us a call. Then we, with our massive amounts of psykers, summon the sub-Apex weakling and save its life. Is this a viable idea assuming we can generate the trust to not abuse their True Name?

Why not all three?

2. not that bad, less then 50k living Eldar lives
That seems like a lot of Eldar...

@Durin
1. What happens now, straight to the meeting (the high council one, not the tech trade one).
2. Do we have to take an action to get the Eldar to unlock the jewels and heal Lin or just ask them?

1. Often
2. No
3. An avatar
4. It could be, giving out True Names however is an utterly massive sign of trust, one that they are very unlikely to do unless it is that or death, and even then many gods would prefer death
