interestingly I calculated the rolls wrong in my first writethough and had you roll 5 lower on the kitchen plague roll, which would have resulted in you dying of plague and being caught on the final roll. you are lucky I went back and doublechecked all of my addition

I've been wondering do the Eldar know or suspect that our world is likely the world of their birth/creation?

Okay, is there any way we can get Ridcully cured? Will the Eldar healers manage to do it on their own, or will we need divine assistance of some kind?
As the expert himself said Ridcully will recover, especially since they just got info on how to cure nurgle plagues straight from the master.

They know it is an old one world and that it is very very likely they were at least prototyped there if not originally made there.

They call it the foundry, and they know not to poke it.

Turoq and the dark Admech attacking will not go well. Turoq is a coward and will never try to be anywhere he can die. So we have to Risk Asgard and Muselphiem which are a big supplier to am and em as well as more tech death.
A lot of people are underestimating how much damage Turoq and company can do in the looming war which is why I think we should try to get Yinnari support to better even the odds. After all the less damage we suffer the sooner we can crush his Domain and prepare for what comes next.

like, this was the next check . ridcullys trend of passing high dc's by the skin of his teeth remains unbroken. he'd failed this he would likely have died.
ridcully continues to be the luckiest motherfucker to ever live.

and man, he is getting some buffs from this one.

Ridcully seems like he should get a trait for the sheer levels of luck he has. I mean he literally passed two rolls when it came to spying on a gods domain and passed right on the dot in both cases.

If he continues doing this Ridcully is going to be drowning in Traits... I mean this is what? The 4th god he personally goes to spy? And he walked out of the Garden like a boss.

spending a major favor on taking out turok and co. is 100% worth it.

we will be hit hard by this. if we dont lose anything permanent, it will take us at least 20 years to recover as a polity. and even then we will probably end up losing a significant amount of tech to the dark mechanicus.

instead, we can spend the favor and just grow for those 20 years and not give our enemies better tech.

its 100% worth it.

Someone really needs to write an Empire of Ashes quest omake now, though possibly it should wait until we see what trait benefits Ridicully gets. This seems a major step on the plan in those omakes to get Ridicully to the point he can sneak Isha out. Of course it's also a bullshit success for them too.

Makes you wonder what they think about us not just colonizing Avernus but almost thriving on it.
Good for you DO NOT POKE IT.

Seriously by this point its clear we live on Avernus by grace of the planet because we're good fuel for the experiments, any non chaotic and non necron species could likely manage the same assuming they proved they were worth the trouble.

Only the second one he's done it to intentionally though.

a higher + and a better trait
Well what we got now is plenty good.

@Durin
1. Are the Crone swords things?
2. How much did Ridcully surpass the Eldar's expectations on this one since they wanted him to just get to the kitchen?
3. How useful is the info Rid got for an eventual rescue mission? Unless part of the update.

And promptly passed out from getting super cancer on steroids...
So who wants to send him into the domain of the Abomination to shank it next?

let's see the abomination, slanish, yennead , gork/mork and now Nurgle. This is the 5th divine domain he spied upon. I think that means he gets a free Sunday.

Since we have to sit on the Platinum Eldar I.O.U., I wonder how will our best diviner do once he recovers.
I mean, hell- he's pretty certain to get that Paragon Piety (on top of Isha's Blessing), and probably have it focused on resisting corruption. He'll be fine, health wise (at least after a short while).

That would be enough to divine Tzeentch and get Turoq's true name without having his head exploding, or risking much.
It would be enough to do some crazy shenanigans with that orc WAAAGH we'll be having trouble with.
It would be enough to have tea with Gork&Mork, to have them give an interview for Lin's research.

Okay maybe not the last one, but...
Shit, the honorbound favor is only somewhat bigger than Ridcully's upgrade, right now.

Like seriously...they spent a lot of resources, but it seems like it's paid dividends.

However, again I'd say hold off until results cause we dunno what's in the scroll.

Once the aftermath is posted we can get a better idea on what choices are available to us.

For the coming war I think we might be able to tank it. If we take command of one planet and give the Chapter Master command of the other one we should be able to hold.

If we reinforce the core worlds using the merchant ships as cover we can stack in our favor. We make the colonies to much of a problem to attack and force Torok to remain a reserve to hit one of the worlds.

If we break this attack then we can use the favor to clear the space around us of the larger threats. Really if the bigger local powers are dealt with we can finally get breathing room to consolidate fully. Then we can deal with all the minor one's around us. If we can get some form of better FTL from the conference as well us and the Dragon's Nest get to form a powerful Regional power.

I think that we are going to need to spend at least part of our favor to deal with Turok. The question facing us is whether we want to spend a significant portion to make him go away, a lesser portion to mitigate his threat, or a significant portion to get a permanent advantage that will also be useful against Turok.

If they where prototyped there, Eldar and Avernites are basically cousins.
Eldar: Ok, ok, the mon-keigh just made a really stupid and frankly insulting statement. Be patient with the primitive thing. We're trying to be more humble these days...
What @Enjou said.

The Sirens however, are the Eldar's cousins to the point they (Sirens) call the Eldar Star Kin and the Eldar are very interested in meeting them because of it.

I voted for the push, but I did not think he will survive, really really surprised about the outcome. How the hell he was able to survive? Does he have some dominion over Luck?
