interestingly I calculated the rolls wrong in my first writethough and had you roll 5 lower on the kitchen plague roll, which would have resulted in you dying of plague and being caught on the final roll. you are lucky I went back and doublechecked all of my addition

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

I cannot even begin to express my Terror.

lol He is amazing at avoiding notice but he just walks into every plague like he is a pokemon trainer trying to catch them all lol :p:rofl:

Holy shit he did it. The madman actually did it. Holy crap.

And Plaguefather had to withdraw his daemonic armies to try and keep Ridcully from escaping. How fucked are the worlds they retreated from in the Materium? Are they the same armies that were fighting back against the 'distractions?'

if you had rolled a nat 100 on the door you could have started an rescue attempt, which would have been far harder but if successful would have resulted in me pretty much rewriting half of my plans to your advantage (well the sanes advantage, the Trust would have had to deal with the personal hatred of Nurgle)

We did it though. We received the blessing of Isha, got her message back to the Eldar, and with this success might have gotten Ridcully the push he needed to transcend.

All and all I'd say this was a very successful update.

Wow he made it !! I guess Isha's blessings would take care of the worst of Nurgle's plagues.

Also that scroll is gonna be a huge win for the Eldar. It's should help them increase their birth rate.

The Gift dc 260
d100=79+11(control)+12(Paragon of Divination)+75(traits)+30(preparation)+45(omakes)+30(hope)-20(plague)=262: Success

hahahaha, holy shit. we would not have made it out without that one.

The Kitchen dc 210
d100=27+11(control)+12(Paragon of Divination)+75(traits)+30(preparation)+45(omakes)+50(Blessing)+10(retracing)-50(alert)=210: Success

like, this was the next check . ridcullys trend of passing high dc's by the skin of his teeth remains unbroken. he'd failed this he would likely have died.

they are, lets just say that this day was Nurgles biggest deafeat for a long time

Information from Isha apparently at least some of it relates to healing Nurgle's plagues.

DCs are too high I think.

@Durin
1. As it stands how big is the scroll/the blessing? (I can't tell if she permanently blessed him?)
1. the scroll has been passed on to the Eldar and he got a perminate blessing, along with a few trait upgrades which I have not rolled for yet

Huzzah! Victory. Ridcully succeeded, the Eldar owe us an Honorbound Favor (maybe more? getting the scroll wasn't part of what we were told was needed based on the option, only getting to the very end of the path) and while Ridcully is likely sick, he's probably going to recover given the Eldar would put everything they can into healing him.

You step though the door into Nurgle's private quarters, following a path that he has trod unnumbered times. Here the stench of plague is impossibly heavy, working its way past your defences despite all that you can do. Finally you reach a simple moss covered door, beyond which you can now feel pure, untainted life. In this door you can feel the full power of Nurgle, barring passage to all but him with a absoluteness that only a Great God in the heart of its domain can command. However as you look at the door you see subtle weaknesses, grown into over an eternity by one whose claims dominion over life itself.

Trusting in your sight you reach out and touch, with a hand bare of all defences, a certain segment of the diseased moss over the door, in an act that must seem to be the height of foolishness for any that could watch. On touching this moss, seemingly no difference from all the moss around it you feel a conduit open through the door, to where another hand touches the same patch of moss on the other side. The touch of this hand is like none you have ever imaged, softer and gentler then you can picture anything being in this dark world and yet containing a depth on inner strength beyond any you have ever felt, including those gods you have seen. As the hand touches you a revitalizing forces rushes though your souls, curing you of the diseases that had taken root, including some that you had never even noticed and a scroll is pressed into your hands, one that you know contains both the final hopes of an unbowed goddess and a mothers final gift for her children.

Now, this is the kind of bullshit you get Transcendent level for. If Ridcully doesn't get that from finding a flaw in the highest defense that Nurgle can construct and then successfully exploiting it to get actual instructions from Isha to give to her children, well, I don't know what the hell would. Even minor gods don't get away with this kind of thing very often.

Well, if we'd rescued Isha I would imagine that the Eldar would have also dedicated a lot to our defense. Like, they'd personally help defend us and set up multiple Krork domains in our vicinity, I'd imagine.

Ridcully deserves Ascension after that, holy shit. Never fucking underestimate humanity.

All those here are part of that reason. The belief and willingness to go through with this, all the writing and hoping.

That is Humanity, and even if Ridcully died, we'd of gone on still, even if some would of tired and taken a break. But Humanity and
Eldar did yet another crazy mortal thing and had it go well.

I hope the scroll helps them. Dunno what the info is, but hopefully tis good.

Speaking of

@Durin
1. Where was Eldrad in this mess, since of all the Seers present he was the only one I thought would actually reach Isha?

Think we can heal Lin from this venture? I mean possible super Lin making demons go poof amuses me!
Unless the info Isha gave also has how to heal crushing soul syndrome I fear that is beyond the Eldar.
