I can't really think of anyone The Lion would Trust that might still be alive. Cypher like people said might be a candidate but we really don't know who he actually is. He does have the Lion's Sword so it might be like a badge of office that the Lion gave to someone with a specific mission in mind.
Cypher in all respects is ****ing weird.

Origin wise he could be an Alpha+?

The name Cypher is an old one belonging to the Knights of Caliban before emps came.

And Cypher himself is so superlative at escape that he managed to escape Terra's dungeons within minutes of being locked up there in canon.

I'd support cutting the honourbound favor into 2 major and 3 minor favors.
We should keep the favor and use it for any of the below, if Ridicully survives.
Agreed, but this was prompted by a comment on whether splitting up and the favor and giving helpers part of it was something we could or should do.
Let us not discuss this until Ridcully either survives or dies?

[X] Push forward- You have come this far, you are not willing to falter on the final stretch. - One DC 230 roll, one DC 160 plague roll, then retreat. On survival earn honourbound favour from Eldar, on death earn minor favour

So thinking about the coming war we neeed to funnnel the forces attacking to Asgard and Muselhpiem. If we send too many forces that would cause them to attack somewhere else and they do have speed. I think we should make Asgard our battle of choice.

We send enough forces to the colonies to force Turoq to act as a reserve for the attacks on Asgard and Muselphiem. Because of his fear of Avernus we can send most of our forces offworld, so can Vanaheim and Svartlfhiem. We put two hero killteams one on Asgard the other on Muselphiem.

We may have to leave Jane behind because I think Turoq has some chaos psykers waiting to cause as much trouble as they can on Avernus. I believe this because they have been hitting the psykers hunting forces hard.

So jacob on Muselphiem with Surt and a couple of choirs. I am going to laugh at anyone who attacks those starforts pretending to be cities. Than we put Areatha on Asgard and have her go through Turoq forces when they land. Maybe also Xavier but I was thinking of putting him on the first colony world Turoq would hit. Since apparently Turoq is a coward and would run if he thinks that is a trap.

So, what do we ask for with our Honourbound Favour? The Emperor's Sword? Fruit from the Tree of Life? The Omnicopaeia? Stable population of half-eldar?

As I mentioned previously when you brought up this topic...

We definitely need webway access if we're going to expand beyond 1 sector. The benefits to communication and defense are crucial to a larger polity without high speed warp drives.

We need psychic knowledge on purifying chaos taint if we want to incororate formerly chaotic worlds after lin dies. And we want that because our industry, healthcare, and food production tech means we get more value out of new worlds than other polities.

Something to help dealing with orks? Might be covered by webway access.

I think that one's pro bono.
And/or the Eldar aren't exactly giving their gods marching orders.

I really feel like the favor use discussion is premature though. Given how voting has been going, we're getting anywhere from a minor to an honorbound favor. About the only think I can say for sure with any favors is that we'll want to use them to maximize our sustainable growth, but how is a huge issue.

For example, right this instant webway access probably won't do shit unless it lets us directly fuck with Turoq's scouting, as we aren't covering a large enough area to have trouble with end to end transit and are in no way interested in an immediate expansion. Using a favor, especially breaking an Honorbound one into Majors, for that with no instant gain is premature—for instance, if Turoq succeeds in crippling some of our worlds, we'd need a full Honorbound to have the Eldar just deal with him while we focused on licking our wounds.

Them outright killing Turoq's whole empire is a Major favour.

Access to the Webway is an instant win condition for us Turoq-wise. The only reason he has any chance whatsoever against us is because of superior strategic mobility, but if we gained Webway access we'd be the ones with superior strategic mobility.

The Webway is great for us in ways beyond killing Turoq as well. It's very fast and very safe, so intra-Trust transportation would be amazing. We could reach many different places all across the galaxy, which lets us do a whole bunch of stuff. There's a reason why getting permanent Webway access was the Imperium's win condition.

personally, i'd rather hold onto the Honourbound Favour for a dark day. I almost feel like at our current size we simply do not exist on the scale needed to take full advantage of it.

Hey so a while ago we discussed the possibility of Areatha healing Guilliman by creating a bubble of frozen time and then using her powers to simultaneously maintain that bubble and heal him. How did that discussion turn out?

Depending on how good the webway links are around us getting access to it could be either game changing or absolutely hacks. If it's solid for local hops we can potentially utterly turn the tables on the lesser chaos realms surrounding us but...

Killing Turok won't help us much any more. Yes he's a beast in combat and a terrifyingly good leader but at the same time, the darkmech have now sniffed blood. Atlas is a subrealm of Amir-ka and when they see the tech we have first hand they'll go ask Marylin Munroe or George Bush for help in another attack. Hell as an abomination world atlas might even bring in hydraphur.

@Durin what was the power valinor got reinforcements from? Was it hydraphur?

It feels like Humans and Eldar are a good species marriage. We both where once the strongest species in the Galaxy, and we both created a chaos God.

Not like I expect that to happen.

@Andres110 Durin reminded us that we would still need a Divine level healer to heal him, so it ultimately didn't matter.

I saw somewhere someone talking about Areatha and how good of a psyker she was.

when I first read it however, I mis-read the post and thought they said something like "and she gets a bit tipsy when she hunts psykers" (or something)

...this made me think that even as good as she is, shes gets better as she gets drunk. which I feel would be hilarious because most psykers are more chaos-prone when they are drunk (cas of reduced inhibitions)....

but with Areatha however, we can joke about how:

"even CHAOS knows to stay away from her when shes THAT drunk"

I feel like this is now my own head-canon even if nobody else agrees with me on this.

:p

At our level the Honorbound favor makes for a good nuke against enemies with a keen sense of self-preservation .

For instance we can set up an easy to divine decision to the order of: "If Turoq attacks any of our worlds we will call in our favor to have Ynead himself reap the bastard's soul."

As Turoq has a good sense of his own limitations the threat would actually stop him.

Or one that says if any of the nearby Chaos dudes come after us we cash it in to reap Turoq's soul, and only make it easy for him to discover.

Let him spend all his resources scrambling to keep them off our back :p
