1. Isn't DH2 also set in a sector in segmentum Obscurus? Yeah Askallon is in Obscurus. So without Eldar aid we're not getting there.
2. Why are you assuming that either Abbadon who currently controls Obscurus or the Eldar have not retrieved the weapon. And they're just most likely ones. Some random rogue trader could have nabbed it.
1. That was the idea, yeah.
2. I'm not assuming that. You can tell I'm not assuming that by the way I asked if it's possible to get it instead of just assuming that we can get it.

Yeah thing is Ridcully's divination like all divination grows more potent the more specific we are.

There are thousands of devices that can do that, tens of thousands even for a question that vague and hypothetical. Many of them are on Avernus.
So we'll just narrow down our search parameters.

You are asking whether it is possible to get, not if it has been found.

Even if it has been found it is still possible to get, it just jumps from nigh impossible to just short of impossible (there's a difference there somewhere).

Edit
Never mind on this point.

So we'll just narrow down our search parameters.
To what?

Eldar Superweapon that can kill Vect? Why would we ask for that and its still vague as heck.

Superweapon that can kill Vect that's no better.

Superweapon that can destroy Vect's fortress?

Without knowledge of what we're after specifically how are you going to shrink the parameters so Ridcully doesn't just spoof every Krork, Ork, Eldar, Chaos and Necron super weapon in the galaxy.

A few things.

Assuming we did know of this weapon we'd be best served just passing it onto the Eldar. Beyond that its interesting, but in the same way I've just discovered Eldar can be infected by the Hive Mind.

Yeah, feels like blatant meta gaming to an absurd degree. It also fails to take into account that if finding super weapons were so easy the Elder would have used their farseers to find as many as possible along with the Chaos Gods and their psykers. Imagine that unless we are specific than it is not even going to be remotely effecitve when it comes to divinations.

Hmm....what about "weapon or device that can aid in or effect the destruction of Vect that's attainable by us in X years with the help of the Ynnead Eldar, can be used by us, and where the risks and costs of doing so are acceptable to our standards".
That should filter out unusable tech and Chaos stuff and everything else we don't want.

It also fails to take into account that if finding super weapons were so easy the Elder would have used their farseers to find as many as possible along with the Chaos Gods and their psykers.
Paragon traits are unique. None but Ridcully have Oracle and so Eldar Farseers have penalties to distance and scale that prevent them from finding super weapons that easily. I mentioned the trait in my response to Reynal.

And that's too hypothetical.

That's not farseeing any more.

Going to call absolute bullshit about there not being any Eldar whatsoever who were alive for literally tens of thousands of years before the fall that had similar skill to Ridcully over the last 20 thousand years. During all that time it seems like they would have taken great pains to find weapons like that. On that matter again the whole scanning for weapons things is way too damn vague since there are likely many things that can kill Vet.

Not to mention that all super weapons seem like they would hidden from absolutely everything or at least make it as hard as possible to find your super weapon since that is just common sense. And again considering that the Eldar were still roaming the galaxy over the last thousands of years doubt it is anywhere as easy as you are assuming. It also seems like it would be the equivelent of looking at the night sky to look at stars. You can see the stars but unless you really focused on them somehow you can't get much and even then it would likely require a ton of time to get more detailed information.

You're statement is also pretty insulting to the Eldar who no doubt have several super weapons of their own. In fact the main reason they likely won't attack Vect is that it would just lead him to rushing his deal.

Something I just noticed, but it looks like we did more damage to their Gargants than I expected.

They started with 2000 and I thought we killed on 500, but it looks like we've totalled nearly 900 of them.

At the same time we don't have nearly enough fighters to contest the skies, though the constant AA field will make things much easier than they usually are for us in that regard.

MMM, in addition to mandating that the chosen system be adopted by all colonies, I think we should mandate that there is a milita air force for all worlds too.

I don't think that'd be too expensive, and it'd help a great deal against these kinda ork airforces.

6000 divisions of aircraft, that's a whole lot of airpower. about a 20 to 1 fighter advantage. I think we got around a 10 to 1 kill ratio in even fights against ork fighters last time. the AA net should do a lot to even those odds, doubly so if they scatter.

assuming a knight maniple or bane blade regiment is roughly equivalent to a Gargents we're not actually that out classed in super heavies. less than 2 to 1. That may be an erroneous assumption though. Gargents are the next size up, even if we have a large qualitative edge in general a knight manipule may need more than 1 to 1 for a Gargent. But that's why we have fortresses.

Astartes are also decent against Gargents iof it comes down to it, as are massed psykers.
Of course massed psykers work on pretty much everything not designed to kill them

Remember they're also split up. So we can go "Okay, you have a load of Gargants in TOTAL, but here and now, at this point, you're outnumbered."

Because Rotbart. And because Idiot Warboss.

We need more psykers, basically.

I wonder if we could petition Avernus if they could boost our psyker production rate. Maybe rearrange some lay lines over our cities.

Okay, you have over 400 battle Psyker Regiments deployed, scary

With the way that our psyker population is actually growing the rest of the Trust must be pretty nervous about the possibility of the humans of Avernus falling to chaos. Well more so than usual. Though on the upside they are probably really glad considering how dangerous the rest of the galaxy has gotten and how the enemy factions have gotten stronger with some still getting stronger having tons of psykers evens things out a bit.

@Durin

1) Has the view and disposition of psykers improved among the rest of the Trust in the last few decades due to how much they contribute?

2) Are there many people among the Trust worried/nervous about all the psykers that the Avernites keep churning up, especially now that Betas and other major level psykers are becoming common?

3) Hypothetically when we start trading knowledge with other human polities would our psyker knowledge and education be valuable for some of them? Asking since I'm pretty sure all the original Astropaths died and our Neo Astropaths make running a giant human empire far easier. Not to mention how absurdly useful diviners are.

I mean at that point why not petition it to stop killing so many people?

Also @Durin

1. If a Psyker loves another human would the emotions of said love cause him to explode?
2. Would there be a way for that Psyker to have a child without the pleasure ending up killing him?
3. What would happen if 2 Psyker over each other?
4. What would they do to possibly prevent daemons from corrupting them?

The thing is, I'm pretty sure Avernus is the craftsman, and we are the commission. It would be like volunteering to become a badass psychic sword, and then complaining that the crucible is too hot.

I dont understand a single question here.
