So I was looking at the Trust info sheet again, and it kind of backs my point about it being better for the trust as a whole if they sent resources to make elites to Avernus instead of making their own elites.

Svartalfheim, Muspelheim, and Jotunheim elites are a full two hundred points of combat bonus lower than Helguard. They spend huge resources on equipment for those troops, but they just can't match all the bonuses Avernites have on being better soldiers.
That'd be better for the Trust military, but no one on the High Council will agree to that. IIRC, one of the core considerations of the Trust Constitution is redundancy. It was decided that giving any one world too much power will only serve as a liability because Chaos outbreak or a freak Warp Storm could completely deprive the Imperial Trust of that specialization. So just as Midgard and Avernus have been growing local shipbuilding industries and naval expertise, other worlds have been trying to develop their own elite units to reduce dependency towards Avernus.

I think this is a vital practice that we shouldn't ever discourage. We have word of Durin that the vast majority of Avernites will willingly embrace Chaos if Governor Rotbart gets corrupted.

Current plan is to reach out to the current three biguns.

My preference is to start with the Primarchs and end with Callamus.

Oh shit, I had totally forgot about Vulkan and Corax. Now I'm a lot more hopeful about mankind fate than I was before. This just show how much I'm missing, so I'm glad I took the time to post instead of just lurk. Do we know anything about the fate of Roboute Guilliman? I tried to find out in the information posts, but I haven't seen anything specifically about him.

Leman and Khan as well.

To the best of our knowledge still in statis, still poisoned by Anathame.

This is awesome! But I'm a bit confused now, is there somewhere where I can find more about their fate or is it just something Durin confirmed OOC?
In this he will be supported by no less then four of his brothers, as the Raven, the Wolf and the Warhawk will move to join him.
Wolf Leman, Warhawk Khan.

Omakes detailing it

Some has been in updates from our Divinations, some is explained (and possibly directly a result of) canon omakes, and sometimes we've gotten it from OOC knowledge.

Given the sheer scale of this quest, though, it's really hard to put together any sort of comprehensive list of facts/things we know.

And I'm seconding Piren's plug for Addios omakes, especially the WH30k-High ones—they're hilarious.

There are strange things out there. I did not know that humans where not the most dangerous species.
This saddens me as it reduces the standing of Avernus madman soldiers.

@Durin
1. This is a test to see if you recieve a notification if you are quoted in the same message. That is because you deactivated notifications because of the large number of quotes.
2. Did the Order of Omen predict the same attacks as Ridcully or what were the differences?
3. First a summary of the video:
Because of antibiotica many bacteria have aquired immunities to them.
Bacteriophage (a sort of virus) sees bacteria (nearly exclusively specific sorts) as prey.
Researcher starting to manage using bacteriophage to kill bacterial infections.
Bacteria can aquire immunities to bacteriophage just like antibiotica.
Bacteria (seems to) can not aquire immunities to both as they become weaker to the other the more the specialice on one.
3a. Are Avernus plages more virus or bacteria?
3b. Asking what Nurgels presents are mor is pointless because of warp sheniganis?
3c. Where there mentianable incidents of researcher injecting themself/others with microbes? (dead viruses to aquire resitences or bacteriophage to kill bacteria or insane stuff for which they should be executed if they had survived it)

1. I do
2. they saw that there would be raids but could not locate them to the same level
3a. both
3b. both types plus pure warp plus several types that do not exist, and in some cases are physically impossible
3c. do you mean vaccines?
In many ways the Dragon is the most dangerous being in the Galaxy, as its an insanely powerful being potentially on the same scale as a major warp god, but doesn't have the problem of needing to be bound to a physical form, or potentially as many specific rules on what it can do with its power like the gods with their domains.

@Durin
1. Do we know what the Dragon's domain as C'tan is? Its stated in lore to be the master of the material realm, which I've always interpreted to mean it has a direct line and ability to affect reality itself.
2. Are you going to be doing character sheets for all five of the surviving cavers?
1. you do not, Ridcully could probably find out though
2. no a combine d character sheet

That reminds me

@Durin
1. Are our intelligence services keeping some of the non chaos spies alive so we can feed false information back to their masters?
2. How expensive would it be to upgrade...Svartalfheim's defences to level 10?
3. How big are the raids being made against us?
4. How dangerous would they be to the colonies if they didn't have forewarning?
5. Will there be options to start engaging in privateering/raiding on the two chaos domains in the area? Just to irritate them/slow their growth?

Ok thinking about it I think we should help the Ash empire we can attack. We have two things that would valuable to them. Well one thing and another thing that I think works the way it is suppose too.

1 we have exterminate weapons that can kill most life on a planet. While the fortress may survive it would still do damage and kill any other Eldar on the planet.

2 if the gravity array is some form of FTL like I think it that would make it extremely valuable to do a raid on the planet exterminate it in orbit maybe do a raid for assassination than pull out.

1. yes
2. stupidly, it would cost orders of magnitude more then level 8, even Svartalfheim's ong term plans dont call for more then half a dozen cities of that level
3. double diget capital ships but only just
4. they would cause damage but not take the colonies
5. not really, the issue you have with that is that compared to their ships yours are snails int he warp, when the enemy can move though he warp ten times you speed raiding does not work

The Eldar almost certainly have exterminatus type weapons too and if destroying Vect was so easy they'd have likely done it by now already.

Who knows maybe if the fortress is threaterend with a planet killer it can warp to an entirely new segmentum.

2. The array is still useless, Eldar don't use AI and the conservative's won't let us make one. To use it in core space is going to be a nightmare without an AI.

TBH the most useful things we can offer are the BCS and Ridcully.

@Durin
1. How hard would it be to take?
2. Not sure if it was mentioned, but does Ridcully's divination reveal whether Abbadon retains the Black Stone Fortresses.
3. What level of character is Vect. Paragon intrigue I'm guessing at a minimum?
4. What proportion of the Yinnari population are DE converts?
5. How many DE did the Yinnari kill when they took Commoragh?

I'm pretty sure the Eldar have their own world killing weapons especially now that they can use more psychic powers without being eaten by Slaanesh.

I don't think that logic holds up. The planets we raid are static. They don't move. Our speed through the Warp isn't really relevant to raiding them.

The point of raiding is to hit and run, engaging enemy forces in a minimal manner to inflict economic damage. The latter part is rather difficult when the enemy can just catch up to your raiding forces when they're running.

Some of my random thoughts and wonderings on some things.

What happened to the golden throne on Terra? is it still there, and what might happen if the Void Dragon gets its claws on it?

How much are we willing to give up to help the primarchs? At this point the tech gift is a given, but how much are we willing to give? What about the Black Crystal Set? Or even send Ridcully himself?

When should we scry how the local Necrons will be affected by the Destroyer Virus?

@Durin
1. Have we sent any messages to the local Necrons about the Destroyer Virus?
2. Can the Quartok use some Alkahestry? The Information page for the Quartok says that they do not have Psykers, so most advanced Alkahestry is impossible for them. But are some of the basic potions possible?
3. Have the Quartok been able to buy any xeno tech from anyone?

1. very, +582 defence bonus, reduce casulites by 94%, and enough void shield take suvive the plant blowing up under it
2. he does
3. multiple paragon, likely transcendent intrigue
4. maybe a quarter
5. tens of billions at least, it is a bit unclear

Maybe? It'd probably be very dangerous to both sides, but less so to Chaos. Regardless, being able to detect incoming Warp traffic means you'd be able to reposition fleets to intercept raiders a lot easier if you can move your fleets ten times faster than them.
that or follow them though the warp and hit them with a major fleet at their next destination
