So what are the differences?
  • Military is the same.
  • For Administratum:
    • Both expand Yphax to a Small Hive
    • Enjou build the Underground Railways while Han expand Limberlost to a Hive
    • Enjou has two times Administrative Shake Up while Han has it doubled up
    • Han has doubled up Economic Focus on Thrones (chance of 23% of Critical for permanent bonus)
    • Han builds Munition Stores
  • Naval is the same: Nothing
  • Diplo is the same: Investigating Dragons Nest - except that Han has put a DD on
  • Arbites is the same.
  • For Mechanicus it is the same except:
    • Enjou finishes the Goliath Factory ship while Han 'only' starts it
    • Han does the designing of the two new Battlecruisers while Enjou starts researching the Gravatic Array
  • For Ministorum it is the same except:
    • Enjou does two times Those in the Shadows (increased pass rates for Psykers) while Han exchanges one for Preaching (reduces our forces vunerability to corruption)
  • For Thelepatica it is the same except:
    • Enjou has Fanning the Flames while Han Divine the dangers for the Railway to the Azure Islands
  • Personal is the same.

Could any planner switch Goliath factory ship research out for either Grav-Shear weaponry (because weapons considered to be cutting-edge by DAoT weapon research facility is something I really want to get our hands on, while expensive they will greatly help our heroes and hyper-elites (Astartes, Last Hunters, etc.), it's also fairly quick at 2 years) or start on new Titan designs (we could really use them, considering our main super-heavy force was really badly mauled in Mar Sara with Asgard losing about two thirds of their knights. The fact that it would also make Tiranicus much more progressive while strengthening them is also a nice bonus). While upgraded Goliath would be nice to have is nowhere near as nice as those two options IMO.

Observe the low success chances for those actions, and the lack of available Double Downs for them. We'd almost certainly fail the actions if we tried to put them in without drastically changing other aspects of the plan.

HanEmpire's plan has double-down on Goliath, so he would need no revision. Yours a bit trickier, though I would still prefer either of my options over Gravatic Array, but it's not that big of a deal.

Personally, I think the Gravatic Array is more useful in the immediate term because it means we'll be able to repair it. The Command Battleship it's attached to is mostly intact, so will be easy to repair once we know how to repair the array, giving the Trust another Command Battleship.

[X] Plan Enjou T106

Welp, I want that factory ship, we need that for long campaigns. Also with the factor ship research, it may allow us to improve our factories in space, and in the ground.

Titan Designing Step One: Schematics – Archmagos Tranth believes that he now understands Titans well enough to begin to work on how to create more. The first step of these would be to create a set of schematics for the Titan, integrating the advanced technology that the Imperial Trust has access to from the start. Once this has been completed he will need to work on creating the data systems and Machine Spirit, integrating the Princeps and then tying it all together.

Time: 10 years
Chance of Success: -100% (4% after bonuses)

Cost: 38,000,000 Thrones, 380,000 Material, 76,000 Promethium, 158,000 Advanced Material, 18,000 Exotic Material, 5 Relic Material.
Reward: Gain schematics of Titan, first step on the path to creating Titans.
Yes. The chance is low. Without a DD on it it seems impossible and if possible Ridcully should help as well. That should lift it to ~50% chance.

I would like to suggest something, @HanEmpire and @Enjou , we should wait for one more turn before taking The Power of Faith or any similar actions.

If we wait for the next turn we can take both actions and the double down, making the bonus a +40 which means that we will get an almost assured crit or greater crit, and making very likely for Lin to get some nice traits out of this.

Sure, the chances are low enough to warrant that. I doubt we'll get traits out of all of them though.

@Doomed Wombat, @MonkeyTypewriter, @Portec, @Adventwolf: I changed Saint Lin's action slots, and moved the Turn 3 DD to Telepathica instead.

Keep in mind that Lin is getting old, and may die off soon. We have no idea who's going to take his place, or if they'll be remotely qualified to do his work. Especially, I doubt anyone else can come up with a good means of empowering the Sanginour

Actually, I remember why I didn't do this. While it'd be ideal to be able to double up, there's still a somewhat good success chance if we have Lin try it now. With a double down, he'd have a 23% chance of success, and if helped by a reroll from Ridcully he'd have a 38% chance. I think it's worthwhile to give it a shot with those odds, and if he fails we can just plan to have him double up and try again next turn. But if he succeeds, we can double up on the next action. I think it's a better use of his time, so I'm switching it back to the way I had it.

I think we've gotten too used to succeeding on most actions. There's no guarantee even doubling up and doubling down will succeed either, but I think we're best off making an attempt now. It's a bit of a gamble, but these actions are always going to be gambles.

Wait, we haven't repaired it? In that case yes, Gravitic Array is definitely the best choice, I though we already repaired it and that option just so we could build new ones.

It actually has 26% chance of success with DD (-40 base +36.5 from stats ([39+54]/2-10) +10 from his new trait +20 from DD), which goes to ~56% if Ridcully's reroll is available (I assume we should round down when using averages, if we round up it goes to 27% and ~58% respectively).

Since it's not a reverse-engineering project we can't use Cheating on it, only way Ridcully can help it is by providing the rerolls that he does by default.
