Well damn the Last Hunters just completely validated every bit of time and resources we spent on them. If they hadn't killed Gutcrumpa this would have gotten extremely ugly.

@Durin

1. Is there orkish numbers somewhere? Specifically their weirdboyz and elites of note.
2. Any other dead heroes or notables?

Right then deployment...

Elites: Phase tigers harass Da Krumpers, Black Irons N/A Psyker battle psykers assist the assault on Da Krumpers?
Heroes: Xavier if possible meet up with ophelia for MAXIMUM FIRE KIJU TIGER! Tamia METNAL BS...Aria...I got no clue. Jacob assassination duty.
Rotbart take over the whole thing we have the biggest impact.
Forces no idea.

Yes, but it's his holy task to fight and, if need be, die with the poor souls taken by the Black Rage
The fact that they all died killing Orks rather than allies of the chapter means he did his duty and did it well.
Yeah, but that isn't his only duty. Just because the death company is meant to kick the bucket, doesn't mean he's meant to go down with them, there's a lot of people that need his guidance and support.

And more death company.

With any luck he's got a replacement ready to go, but still...not good.

No idea IIRC there's one in charge of every death company.

Not great optics either way.

Very much support it.

Oh good.

Level up for Ophelia, Surt, Sigurd and the general population.

Well shit.

@Durin
1. How pissed do we think the Dragon's are going to be over him dying?
2. When the update says Gutcrumpa was duelling Sigurd was that in his knight or on the ground?
3. Out of curiosity how have the avernites we sent been performing?
4. Just in case, any hero dead yet.
5. For an omake idea who's in charge of the Vanaheim fleet. I think I know who he is, but I think its best to check?
1. not very, they are Astartes and know that death in battle happens
2. in his knight
3. very well though they suffered heavily to Da Crumpas
4. not that has not been mentioned
@Durin, is Ophelia dead or do we not control her?
you do not control her

2. no

Ouch!

This update is made out of pain.

The elites managed to stem the green tide but at the cost of almost all the elites. We will have to keep the elites in reserve to preserve their numbers in the near future.

At least the Warboss is down and the Waaargh field downgraded.

But still... Ouch!

Well at least the next elites will be more elite...in theory.

This should also help hammer home the point to the conservatives so we can start on additional improvements.

[] Plan Crumpa First
-[] Deploy all of your forces to help deal with Da Crumpas- The elite Avernite forces are better suited to face Da Crumpas then any other force their size, and will be able to greatly reduce casualties among elites by taking part in the siege
-[] Have Rotbart take command over Da Crumpas Command- Da Crumpas are a major threat, and you should personally take command over the fight against them to reduce losses.
-[] Ridcully/Xavier/1st Pyromancers to Scry-and-Fry important Orks (Warbosses, Weirdboyz).
-[] Tamia & Telepaths to disrupt orks and incite orkish interconflict, working together with the Scry-and Friers.
-[] Aria and Jacob deployed at the Da Crumpa.
-[] Telekinetics and Pyromancers to support pushes, acting as siege units.
-[] Biomancers, Diviners on general support.
-[] Daemonologists on supressing orkish weirdboyz.

Idk enough about the groundside situation to know if a Kaju Fire Tiger is a great or terribs idea.

Its giant Kiju phase tiger it is always a good idea!!

But, seriously I don't see why it wouldn't be, we still have our arsenal of deaths strikes, fire them in first KIju phase tiger goes on a romp while the orks are distracted fighting fire we move in.

Maybe, depends on if the survivors can train up the next generation of elites, should be plenty of potential candidates from the regular veterans of this war.

At least the Guard wont be lacking in geneseed I suppose.
Probably, though I doubt the eternal army will be able to replenish itself.

Fire Giants though...hopefully.

As for the guard, yeah plenty of geneseed, but also many more veterans to help the 15 train up new youngsters.

[X] Plan Focus Da Crumpas
-[X] Write in deployment: Splitt of the anti-Titan forces with some support to deal with the gargants. The majority of your forces are to be deployed against Da Crumpas.
-[X] Have Rotbart take command over Da Crumpas Command- Da Crumpas are a major threat, and you should personally take command over the fight against them to reduce losses.
-[X] Ridcully is to support Julius.
-[X] Xavier, Jameson, Aria and Jacob deploy against Da Crumpas.
-[X] Black Irons deploy against the main ork army or as needed by Julius.
-[X] Phase-Tigers deploy in asymetric combat against ork commandos and under Julius command.
-[X] Battle Psykers deploy against Da Crumpas

I hope it serves as a good raw plan for the plan makers.

It is kinda terrifying that this was only a Tier 2 Waaagh.

Tier 2 Waaagh bonus "The New Waaagh": triple population growth rate to cap, +200 to ground combat rolls, +100 to air and space combat rolls, +40% to all armour and penetration, double Waaagh Power Generation, ??. Estimated 5-20 worlds
Tier 3 Waaagh bonus "The Tipping Point": quadruple population growth rate to cap, +400 to ground combat rolls, +200 to air and space combat rolls, +60% to all armour and penetration, triple Waaagh Power Generation, ??. Estimated 80-150 worlds

This further enhances my opinion that we should under no circumstances allow a Waaagh to overwhelm one of our neighboring polities. If a Waaaghboss unites Tugozaks Domain and conquers either the Tzeentchian or Slaaneshi polities in our neighborhood that takes him into Tier 3 territory, and then we are pretty much doomed. Especially since both of these two Chaos domains are likely to be a lot weaker than the Trust if we go by how easily we overwhelmed Valinors Crusade. They will be easy pickings for a Tier 2 Waaagh.

It pains me to say it, but we should look into an anti-ork defensive alliance with the nearby major Chaos polities.
