I'm wondering about letting the titans close in a bit to buy time for the fleet to arrive. With only 20 hours left on the clock every hour counts.

Though once we kill the titans its also a race to see if we can cripple the other side faster than they can summon. Maybe rest up and position our forces as the titans move?

Thankfully we do have one arsenal which is still relatively intact to hit them with.

Deathstrikes.

Let Ridcully target them, let the pyromancers enhance the normal ones and the biomancers enhance the life eaters and we should be able to cause terrible, terrible damage to their mooks, maybe even blow up their rituals.

There's still the sorcerers parked way outside of Dis. We don't have the orbitals so the only real way to take them out is with deathstrikes.

We could also try for assassination.

With the assassins dead the Last Hunters don't need to be kept with Lin all the time and of course there's always the Phase Tigers (especially Dalev) and Xavier.

Not sure I'd recommend it what with the large number of Angyels they've got active, but if we need too.

If Marcey helps us get a Nat 100 I think we'll have quite a bit more than a week.

Also! Their psychic defences will be terribs.

If we're going for assassination, we may as well go for sabotage and destroy the void shield generators protecting them from our deathstrikes and teleportation.

Didn't Durin say they'd get more powerful as the ritual goes on? If you want to kill the sorcerers it's best to get as many as early as possible.

Depends then on what they think they can do.

If they can kill the sorcerers then do it, but if they can't sabotage for a larger force/bombardment.
I am fairly sure that even if we sent in all of our Last Hunters that they could not destroy ~20 choirs, hundreds of sorcerers, four Sorcerer Lords, and everyone guarding them. They have high force concentration but insufficient total force to deal with the threat.

I'm not expecting them to do that on their own :p. We have the Psyker hunters, the phase tigers and others to help.

But, seriously the idea isn't for them to deal with the whole problem with assassinations the people they're after are spread out between 3200 ritual sites anyway there simply isn't enough of them to do it in the time we have.

What they can do is target sites and slow the whole thing down and help us whittle down the numbers even more, which we should be able to manage with scry frying, bombardments and of course assassination.

Of course a major issue are the 5ths, remember they can sub for a Lord.

I think they'll have at least one major ritual site in Dis itself - Hopefully more.

Per Midgard, we have odds of collapsing rituals, with an opportunity every (Major?) ritual site broken, and odds improving with each ritual side taken out.

I should mention that given that the fleet is coming though the Warp there is always a plus minus one day on arrival times at this distance, so it could reach the system anytime from now to two days

If we collapse their ritual, is there like a cooldown before they can restart it or something? Some penalties?

Maybe we should use our phase-tiger and thunder beast brigades on the Abomination forces in the city since the abomination thinks their safe behind our halls but little do they know that the wildlife constantly gets past our walls anyways. That and I imagine that there is no standard tactic to countering troops with phasing kitties and electric rhinos so it should be a pretty effective surprise to the general.

Huh...I thought the time was the time for the reinforcement fleet to arrive and get into the fight, not the time for them to arrive in system at all...

huh.

How long will it take them to get from their warp in point to the planet? Doesn't that take like a week itself given we can harass incoming fleets after they drop out of warp?

Well, that was a truly glorious battle. And lulz on Rotbart instagibbing a guy on a critfail. "Oops, I tripped... and stabbed you with my sword in the process."

Lucky break on Aria surviving - that did look like an intense fight that she did have a chance of losing.

And holy fuck, Aryz has 6000 HP. Christ, even Astartes don't have nearly that much. Dude is terrifying.

Anyways, I says we stop the Titans at District 145, then take off the kid gloves and take our city back. Titans have long range firepower, so I don't want them at the walls of District 000.

Been meaning to ask, but isn't this supposed to be "Varangian Guard"? After these guys?

It would be really, really convenient if the Abomination puts a bunch of their Ritual Sites in Dis.

Phase-Tigers alone should suffice to end those rituals - Probably without casualties again, seeing as the Aboination is practically flat out of elites (10 Chaos Lords - Their Titans we'll probably eliminate). We'll probably want to add Ridcully, Xavier, Lulana, Aria and maybe Tamia, along with the distant assistance of 2 Daemonology Choirs (And Lin?) to maximize odds of Ritual collapse.

Any plan must commit some psykers to countering the warding on the titans.

The question is if our Ant Queen should help in general counter spelling or focussed.

We might want to consider focusing on hammering their AA divisions. That would allow us to leverage our ludicrous over match in air power. They have 312 combat air divisions. We have 123,681.

I have two more things.

First I think this is the only war where we've held a decisive advantage in the air battle.

Second how far we've come.

We lost an arm and a leg to a Chaos Warlord oh so long ago, now we've killed a chaos chapter master and he was barely worth our time :D
