I imagine they'll go back, grab all the transports they can and try and transport everything at one go. Which of course makes it way more vulnerable to attacks on the transport fleet, meaning we can expect to mutilate a huge chunk of their troops in space, possibly half or more. In exchange they'll get a huge chunk of troops down, possible 1 or 2 waves worth of troops, and the subseuqnetly their deperation move will probably be ramming Dis with Battleships and attacking with a few billion troops at one go, going 'And we're totally willing to climb over our corpses to get over the damned walls' while our attention is split between ships crashing into our hive and the final attack.

It would probably hurt - I figure we might well lose a Billion or two or more militia, but on the upside Valinor would be completely and utterly wrecked when the I.Trust goes on the counterattack.

Ehhh I think they're already doing this to the greatest extent they can.

Yeah. Just crushing them is great on so many levels, gets rid of their threat and stops their skirmishing with the BD letting us focus on the only remaining threat in the area the ****ing orks... well until the chuckle fucks in the other chaos polities want to throw down, but lets focus on the here and now.

They have spare transports - I understand they're basically sending in the amount of Transports they can properly escorts.

I would suggest they bring a ridiculous amount of transports, an amount they literally cannot escort properly at all.

That doesn't seem right. They're missing 1/3rd of their transports but the Muspal didn't take that big a chunk out of their combat fleet that they couldn't afford to cover a replacement third?

The crusade is gonna try to land as many waves as possible, if enough of our ships show up to challenge their fleet WoG is they are going to travel to a different system to draw our ships away, presumably to keep the transports coming, the entire crusade fleet is worth sacrificing to get as many transports onto Avernus as possible.

@Durin, assuming the enchantments are taken down, how many Titans can we kill by having the two telekine choirs boost the kinetic power of projectiles like psychic railguns? Or is there a more effective way for them to kill Titans?

My draft plan to handle a 1st circle summoning is:

1) Stall with Lulana & Daemonology.
2) After Stalling is impossible, nuke the Sorcerer Choir with all the Deathstrikes, with Ridcully helping.
3) If sorcerers teleport to safety, stall again.
4) After stalling impossible, pray for Avernus & prepare for the final confrontation.
Nuking the sorcerers with deathstrikes is impossible. We can take out the ones on the ground but half of them are in space, where the summoning will take place.

I'm thinking a strike force of Space Marines and psykers will board the Mass Conveyor where the summoning will take place and cancel it. I'm not sure how they'll get there, but currently I'm thinking either a stealth vessel or Gate of Infinity to just outside the void shields and then slowly drift in.

They're not summoning yet I'd wager they'll probably get to the ground first.

If they go to ground and then teleport up that's also good for us, it wastes their time.

Let's ram it with the Folkvangr and get our guys onboard using that. Alternatively we could just hide in our cities and let Averneus do it.

Alternatively we should try to kill the 3rd circle so hard that when they try to summon 1st circle it just goes "fuck off I'm not going there".

On the one hand it probably knows what happened to the last Exalted that went there (it ded permanently) :D

On the other its Lin. It probably would sacrifice itself to kill him.

More seriously though if the Exalted can trigger an incursion I'm kind of afraid of how things will go.

The last one was only a few hundred years ago when normally the incursions were relatively spread out over thousands as it started to sink in that attacking Avernus tended to be a poor investment in terms of power.

More importantly has Avernus recovered itself to full strength after the Slaanesh incursion?

He'd need to be the demon of reasonableness then.

Or, hey, maybe he is a demon of meme!Imperium paranoia and will go: "Ah! I see what are you trying to do! You want to betray the Emperor and draw me into the place where I can be permanently killed! You even tested it on the 3rd circle! Treason! DIE!".

@Shard
An idea maybe give Jane the BC Crown as it bestows mental resistance.

She's got the lowest piety of the kill team I think...yeah its only 22

Jacob has a higher combat skill than his mother.

Really, Jane should be up soon for some new traits. Hopefully she'll get "Mother of Assassins" soon.

Jacob being like a third the age of the other heroes but even stronger is pretty crazy. Rotbart especially needs to gain some stats.
Ah the benefits of being thrown into hell.

@Durin
1. I don't know if anyone asked you about this, but is runing our defence fleet (Defence crusiers ect.) with runes of banishment, fire ect. practical? I'm going to guess no due to power constraints.
2. Has there been any mutterings about building battleship or larger defence monitors? I'd imagine they'd be if not cheaper at least more powerful as there's more room for guns ect.
3. Assuming everything the abomination could potentially bring to Avernus is wiped out how easy would taking Valinor be?
4. How big a wound would the permanent death of the Exalted be? I'm not considering we bait it or anything I'm not suicidal, but an Exalted is a very big very powerful investment so I am curious?
