Sorry not noticed that one, still QM ban it apply to Grey Knight Geneseed alone, other Geneseed should more simple is it not? I mean if it purer than we can understand it better than corrupted ones.
No the thing is on the Grey Knights for now though fm has spoken.

The thing is that we do understand gene seed on a biological level only place to go is psychic analysis.

Also purity isn't the thing with the Knights (well it is, but it's separate) it's just more complicated. Iirc durin described it like this. Astarte are 1 custodians are 2 knights are 1.5.

They've just got stuff going on on all levels that normal gene seed doesn't do.

@Durin
1. I'm pretty sure Jacob's Avernite trait should have increased (he's 60, but I think it's supposed lved up at 50)
2. Is it safe to assume the high martial of the Krork is a transcendent?
3. Have any Avernite species reacted to being told of the Krork's return?
4. When is the earliest Ridcully see's Jacob returning or is it constantly changing?
5. Do we have a good enough idea of how the Krork mandate works? As far as I can tell it's make war to protect the races of the galaxy, but how do they determine what needs killing and what not? For instance would the Imperium have counted as in violation of the mandate for killing so many species?

I am not talking about Grey Knight Geneseed here, we got Ultramarine ones those are most pure normal Geneseed, well we should able to unlock more info about normal ones, Still, it is up to QM if he says that we can not experiment with even Normal Geneseed then we must accept it.

Not actually a question but more a thought exercise.

I wonder if we can splice some Avernus animal DNA into some Astarte Geneseed like how DAoT Helheim apparently spliced Blank Bear DNA into Niflheim's population. Like how cool would be to make a chapter where every marine can naturally phase without being a Psyker or some other bullshit?
I just want to do that with our normal soldiers.

Doomed Wombat, one last thing after all those daemonic attacks do Tau still consider daemons as a new breed of Xeno/rouge humans/Crazies? or they got any kind of proper plan against Chaos?
I dunno.

We don't either, all we know of the Tau ATM is that they exist, they're teching up and that they and Ultramar have called a truce to kill off the orks in their area.

Apart from that we know nothing of what the Tau are up to, how large their empire is, how advanced it is, or whether their policy on warp entities has changed and we're unlikely to know unless we divine them.

While the Tau has 5000 plus years to tech up eventually they are going to hit increasing levels of little return for research. Also without psykers that limits there research avenues. So while they are advancing I think that the universe the way it is will keep them from making major tech upgrades from what we saw in cannon.

Unless the C'tan are actually behind them and going to use them as new Necrons soldiers.

So we know Vulkan and Khan alive and well, no news of Russ, and Corax, Angel, Dorn and Manus still dead, Lion maybe still sleeping, Papa Smurf still in a coma?

Rss and Corax just got back from the Eye of Terror actually. Also the Raven Guard are being hidden by Paragon/Transcendent level intrigue/psykery. Two guesses whose behind that and the first one doesn't count.

We personally know that Vulkan is alive and running his Imperium and that's it.

Russ and Corvus have escaped the eye of Terror and are currently somewhere in the galaxy and Khan is getting healed up by the Eldar before going to grab the Scars, but we don't know that either.

No info on the Lion, but the current state of the DA indicates that he's still MIC and yeah Smerf is still dead barring divine intervention.

And yeah the others are either dead or vanished so hard they might as well be.

Maybe Corvus?

Since we don't know if he left the eye at some point after emps died, but went back in to save Russ there's no way of knowing if he's the one that shielded the Guard and Deliverance.

The Raven's guard may have just done something funky after figuring out their potential gene seed granted psycic abilities.

1. it will next turn
2. no
3. yes, they are releived
4. next year
5. no

on the genseed debate I will say that messing with Genseed and suceeding is the domain of paragon learning or a lot more knowledge on gene-seed then you ahve

That's quite a feat. Did he split himself in half or something?
Maybe under the effect of this slight tipsyness of my being they have, but probably not.

Joy combat paragon.

Huh...hero of the war in heaven, Krork leader and yet not a transcendent...I guess we've really been underestimating how easy it is to get one we've been spoiled...

3. yes, they are releived
Relieved in a "Thank god the galaxy isn't completely screwed kinda sense" or relieved in a "Well at least they're not dead yet" sense?

Well that's a good indicator... not confirmation, but a good indicator...has suspicions...

Must write more omake.

Cuts off, I'mma assume that's either luck time or both.

Thanks.

1. Will we get any of the following options next turn?
1a. An option to rescue Jacob from his character building experience? Or will that be done automatically, or will he be left to rescue himself, or what?
1b. Further options in the nature of divinity from Saint Lin?
2. Will the Order of Restoration become more efficient in saving lives over time?
2a. Do they increase the survival chance of Avernite VIP's?
3. Does Ridcully think we should prioritize divining threats (the Crusade, the Waaagh) right now, or studying his wellspring trait?
4. Are the new Grav-weapon upgrades applied automatically, or will we get an option for them?
5. Are there any areas the Biologis can't research in? Like the Caverns, the oceans, or the North Pole?

??? probably.

I mean they're also researching better healing techniques.

IIRC Durin doesn't like playing the game for us, except where world building is concerned.

Going by what I remember this is the only one we can't do...though TBF I think we probably could so long as we didn't try for a penguin.

Wildlife in the sea (the Hellfire corral) got a pretty hefty debuff to it's examination though, I'd guess we can do the caverns with a similar debuff, but we only know of one critter in there.

1a. no
1.b yes
2. Yes
3. You are the players
5. The poles, but death chance is based on research to an extent so if you research the caverns expect to lose a bilogis before long

Mmm, I can't tell whether Jacob being thrown down there was always supposed to happen or not... or more importantly whether he was a guaranteed shot at survival.

@Durin
1. Throne emps is a religious god, but while he was ambulatory did he count as an ascended?
2. At his level of power now and with Ridcully's observations is Magnus an ascended God?
The most common form of Ascended God is the most powerful of the Daemon Princes of Chaos, who have Ascended into minor Gods in their own right.
3. Is Lin able to tell if the Chaos Gods make demons from their worship power (I'm guessing this one as it's easier to store which indicates more stable to me) or their domain power?

The Grey Knights don't answer to Rotbart or Scott, they are not based in the Hellheim system and nor (as far as we know) is the Inquisitor with operational command of them. The Varangian Guard have their own planet. The Blood Dragons are the rulers of their own polity, bigger than the Trust and a long way away. Gene seed is not ours to play with. We don't get to fix it any more than we do Nilfheim industrial relations or Champion Surt's sex life.

Hellheim is a center for R&D but we actively work to spread the learning throughout the Trust. We don't have a monopoly on clever people or even geniuses. In particular Byzantium has Apothecaries and Librarians and we don't - that is where any gene seed research will be taking place and we will not be the ones initiating it or saying what they try to do. They will have excellent labs and genetors without any actions on our part. Ridcully and/or Lin might have unique contributions to make but if so we will be asked for their services.
