If the Krork have been doing stuff for a thousand years I wonder why Gork and Mork are only waking up just now.
Ehhh, if you mean what I think you mean it's not been too long.

They were freed specifically to attack the Crons when they got back from the void war, which means that was going on when Ynnead was awakened I think.

That means they've only been active about 7-800 years I think.

High Grandmaster Ridcully spent a year divining the Krok, the reason behind the Green Awakening. His first discovery is that over the last thousand years the Krok have been slowly carving out a massive empire in the North-Western area of Ultima Segmentum. This region covers almost two hundred sectors, over a percent of the galaxies largest Segmentum and has the Krok in control of over nine tenths of the inhabitable worlds. The worlds that the Krok hold are heavily fortified and devoted entirely to war, whether it is growing and training new Krok or supplying and equipping the Krok Warhosts. Those worlds not controlled by the Krok are controlled by either humans or xenos living in Krok Protectorates, where the Krok allow other races to keep their worlds in exchange for some form of support and never interfering with the Krok in any way.

So, question on this Durin - if the Krork have been doing this for around a thousand years now, why is it that the Ork Gods noticed only a few years ago? Was it because the Krork weren't 'taking their boyz' until recently, or was it that they had to hit certain numbers before they'd notice?

Also, the spelling of Krork seems to be "Krok" in the update, and I've seen it done that way in other updates - is your autocorrupt just messing it up? If so, I suggest adding "Krork" to your browser's dictionary.

@Durin, based on what's going on with the Orders, can we freely promote an Elite Primaris to a Master Primaris so that Vanaheim can get a Scholastica Psykana?
I'm pretty sure they're only promoted to the head of their order not to master Primirai.

While the sheet hasn't been updated for this turn yet, if you go too the psyker excel sheet we don't have 2 additional master Primirai it's still only the three we have (Odysseus, Aria and Zhukov) Neither Kurzmann or Sigurosson are counted as master Primiri despite being called "master" of their order.

@Durin did the eldar get anything else out of Trazyn infinity's collection? Like the 4 regiments of catachan troops he turned into miniatures, the custodies he have... has in a pokeball, the ultra marines from the Heresy, Thor, and well there is a long list of things.

Isn't this just Skaven?
Kinda, I saw there was already rodent men in dwarf fortress caverns(not ratmen, so presumably they have varied phenotypes, Ratmen are a surface thing in dwarf fortress), and was like,
'hey neither of the other two groups of tribal cavern cultures seem likely to change anything or expand,
so lets give the rodent men simple explosives, steam engines and steel forges that rely on captured creatures of the magma sea for heat, and some simple runes,(out of respect for the skaven being the most technologically advanced group in warhammer fantasy) but none of the plant bullshit or exceptional skill with taming animals that the tribal groups have, and set them up as an expansionist empire, struggling to expand much at all against the competition underground.'

And being worse with cavern creatures and cavern plants is probably enough to create a rock beats laser situation in at least some of the fights between the Rodent-people(they will include mouse-people, and squirrel-people), and the other prey-type people under-races.

Unfortunately I doubt he'll kill Trazyn.

As much of a cock up as this was, he's still one of the most skilled Crypteks around and is a very powerful lord in his own right.

Still I get the feeling the king is gonna be pissed.
Considering the cluster fuck the Galaxy is right now, the Krork being back is less of a strategic issue that it would have been normally. While the long term threat is there, it's not a surefire thing that they'll survive the intermediate term, which goes to show just how insane the situation is. If anything, the Silent King would be more worried that the Eldar are performing up to snuff, and have no end of cats paws to work through.

Warpstone exists now as a result of Chaos Eldar. I for one hope that Skaven start existing because of a few errant experiments with rats.

Skaven could be a xeno polity instead of avernus one guys , could be a nice enemy maybe instead please or a rat based enemy cause avernus is sounding and feeling like whf? ( they could be abit further away than the current enemys but be future local threat for example)

My thought was that i dont like them on avernus at all(the idea) and maybe a rat based enemy xeno race makes sense a little bit i guess instead

I wonder what the Krok will think about us living on Avernus, their hero must know about Avernus and it's many mysteries.

Actually "The Lost Boys" is a good term for Krork to refer to Beast!Orks.

@Durin few question about defenses
1. How our tech level influence our defense levels? Does it means that our, say, level 6 defenses are beter than Imperial tech level 6 defenses or does it mean we simply need less guns/shields/platforms/stations/etc. to archieve level 6 defense compared to Imperial tech polity?
2. Are defenses we are building around Deiphobe protecting only Deiphobe itself or do they extend to the whole Cumean planetary system?
3. What is level orbital of defenses over Avernus itself?

Maybe.

Or the Old Ones kept Avernus secret...hard to tell at this point, the Eldar certainly don't seem to know.

@Durin
1. Have any of the Avernite species reacted to being told of the Krork's return?

I'm pretty sure it's the former which makes them equivalent to a higher level of defence.

For instance we upgraded our old defences with DAoT stuff when we found the data core, but we still counted as a 6/5 (I think we were there at the time?)

Similarly our defences are a 7 average, but we can be compared to Mars/Terra, who were either 9 or 10 (I think Cadia was 9 T and M 1 were 10?)

I'm pretty sure every variation on "What will the Krork think about us," whether for Avernus or the Imperial Trust as a whole ends with, "We should conquer them for their own good and safety."
Hopefully if it came down to it they'd just put us into the same programme their other non krork polities are in.

I can live with that.

@atrophy , @Azgrin
If the thread is really strongly against an under empire composed of rodent people than I can change it.

The (hopefully really large)Omake I'm writing doesn't strictly require that the more industrial polity included in it be solely composed of rodent people, it could be multi-racial, and it doesn't have to be an empire, if you want to suggest another system of political organization(maybe a federation? or a theocracy? do you have any better ideas?). But it does need to have rat people prominently featured in positions of authority on the specific (underpolity)expedition that the human expedition runs into, as a side effect of plot points I have planned out.(in omake justification, something to do with there being a territory of rodent people nearby? as one of the Federation's provinces?)

possibly with an addition of, "we should escort those lunatics off of the automated biolab, or failing that kill them to the last before they set something off. "
