less good god and more a bit of luck that Eldrad was the first and decided he would spend the effort to hide Ridcully
if he had not I would have rolled to see if Ridcully could have escaped, it would have been hard roll and he would not have seen anything more
this was the biggest foreseeable event in recent history and all of te heavywwieghts were there, unlike say the birth of Ynead because wit tat the Eldar went far out of their way to obscure it in the future (you can even hide things from Tzeench when a Trickster God works with a species of seers while Tzeench is distracted)

Did Eldrad know about Gork and Mork awakening before Ridcully warned that Eldar Farseer?

approach DC 100
d100=83+9(control)+12(Paragon of Divination)+55(traits)+25(preparation)+5(omakes)=189: Critical Success

seeing DC 150
d100=68+9(control)+12(Paragon of Divination)+55(traits)+25(preparation)+15(crit)+5(omakes)=189: Success

and hiding DC 180
d100=33+9(control)+12(Paragon of Divination)+55(traits)+25(preparation)+15(crit)+5(omakes)=154: Fail
Eldar Intervention d100=??+??=??: Success, only seen by Eldar Seer

Surge of Power DC 200
d100=94+9(control)+12(Paragon of Divination)+55(traits)+25(preparation)+5(omakes)=200: Success

Stabilising DC 180
d100=92+9(control)+12(Paragon of Divination)+55(traits)+25(preparation)+5(omakes)=198: Success

Ejection DC 190
d100=90+9(control)+12(Paragon of Divination)+55(traits)+25(preparation)+5(omakes)=196: Success

Sanity DC 200
d100=95+9(control)+12(Paragon of Divination)+55(traits)+25(preparation)+5(omakes)=201: Success

I suppose that's the Eldar getting even.

Still he only failed one roll pretty damn impressive.

He also went flying past Kairos which is pretty funny if you ask me and while he didn't hide perfectly, he did survive the awakening which is more than can be said of some.

@Durin
1. Chance of transcendence for Ridcully surviving all that intact?
2. Can Ridcully be called one of them first non corrupted humans to see Magnus in thousands of years?
3. Can we try and get in contact with Eldrad with a future action?

I have this mental image of Ridcully riding the shattered pieces of his protections away from the blast like that scene in Journey to the Center of the Earth, screaming the entire time. It's about as likely as what happened, and just as cool.
Edit: That's not the Eldar getting even, that's Eldrad screwing over literally everyone else there. Ridcully was probably the only non-chaos human there, and he is a member of a polity that would be incredibly unlikely to start shit with the Eldar. Everyone else there can go die, as far as both he, and us, are concerned.

To summarise:
Eldrad likes us.
Someone is making off with Orks… somehow.
Gork and Mork are stronger than the Chaos gods.
Ridcully has loaded dice.

All to the good.

I just had the image of the best dividers just being blasted away and falling down marineford style
:D

it's the Krork remember Ridcully divined that the Eldar woke them up (somehow).

According to @Durin what they assumed would happen is the Krork would take over the Waargh field, but it seems tophe orks went super sayin

1. 1%
2. and have survived more then a few days yes (barring those that become corrupted or were kept alive for a longer period for some reason, usualy torture)
3. yes, now that Ridcully has seen him on the Astral plan he stands a chance of it. I should not that as a Paragon Diviner Ridcully can easily do things otherwise impossible for human seers especially where distance is concerned

I think we can try negotiations for divine intervention on Lin's behalf with that.

Would Ridcully have died (or needed to be killed) if he had failed that Sanity or Surge of Power checks? :X

You haven't rolled yet?

Nat 100 nat 100 nat 100 we neeeed more omake more sacrifices NOW gets crazy look in eyes...

Ahem, more seriously though being able to talk with Eldrad is a good thing.

@Durin
1. Will there be consequences seeing Kairos, he is a very... odd... demon as far as farseeing is concerned and seeing him afraid when it's face is truthful is important.

it depends on by how much, he would have definitely gained a negative trait and a minus on all future rolls however

That chapter was Awesome! We're finally seeing some more of the big players in the Galaxy in action. Makes you wonder who the other, unseen figures watching the reawakening were.

Also I'd say that one of our priorities should be getting into contact with Eldrad. Though we should keep in mind that he likely foresaw his meeting with Ridcully long ago and only cloaked him because it would mean less Eldar lives lost sometime in the future.
