@Durin how much is the legend costing to make and why is it being made know instead of say command battleships?
Mate the thing can make short work of Glorriana's (the Primarchs personal battleships) it's a worth while investment.

As for cost
yes a Gloriana would be considered to be a Dreadnought like the Legand
1. with current shipyards it would take 60 years, 30 with the next size up. for this time it would use all of Vanaheim's largest shipyard and it would cost half a million AM a year and 4k EM
construction costs would be around 90 million AM and 300k EM, though they will halve of you get the next level of shipyard
Expensive, but as we're at colossal about 45 M AM and 150k EM.

That was a thing with souls in general. Prior to the chaos gods, EVERYONE reincarnated.

Then the chaos gods happened and the warp became a much more violent place, and what souls did maintain cohesion were used as batteries by whatever daemon nabbed em.

Theoretically reincarnation is still possible, but you'd have to be insanely lucky or literally blessed to prevent yer soul getting dissolved by the tides of the warp or eaten.
Nice to see you post :D.

@Durin
1. The admech seems a bit less up set with making new ship designs (in canon at least) and give the size of the ships all the Gloriana's were custom jobs. Is the admech open to changing the designs of the Legend to make other unique super ships?
2. Given the Prophet is larger than the legend (24 vs 22 KM) is it considered a Dreadnought?

mm, I wonder what?

The majority of their tech base is psycic in nature, though I suppose the DE's stuff had to come from somewhere.

I think it's likely that they reverse engineered some Necron technology. There must have been a lot lying around after the massive destruction of the war in heaven. I've always had suspicions about the Blackstone fortresses...

I doubt it meself. Necron technology is souless and kinda horrible for most psykers to interact with and if the Old Ones did anything I imagine they enineered a certain degree of revulsion into their creation. It's certainly the trend if the Sirens and Trolls can be used.

The Blackstone fortresses are also apparently Eldar or at least Old one in design (the Eldar claim they were created by Vaul their smith god, but I think it's more likely the Old Ones left them for the Eldar to find) and they were in use in the War in Heaven where apparently their firing was enough to drive the Void Dragon away, which is why it ended up on Earth where it met emps.

@Durin
1. To clarify given the Prophet is larger than the legend (24 vs 22 KM) is it considered a Dreadnought (Gloriana) class ship?

Yes it is

Well it allows more psykers to use soul killing flames it's not something not really more powerful ones and permanently kill daemons.

I think you messed up something typing this as it's semi-nonsensical, but regardless, the rune only lets Master Battle Psykers and Primaris Psykers of Gamma or higher to use that particular power.

@Enjou I'd like to repeat my desire to note the new Sapient species, just as an off hand.

I don't think it's important enough to note until we've done a study IC. It hasn't even been mentioned in an actual update.

Yeah, sorry I didn't get to eat breakfast.

What I meant to say is that it represents a large increase in the number of psykers who can use soul killing flames, not that the power of the psykers has increased (if anything the average power required to burn demons to death has gone down significantly.)

At current we have 3070 master minor battle psykers 64 grandmaster minors and 136 master major battle psykers and we have... I'm not sure how many gamma Primari.

On the other hand soul killing flames used to only be available to powerful and masterful pyromancers like Xavier, this represents a huge increase in the number of psykers that can permanently burn demons to death.

Of course these number could change depending on whether or not only Pyromancers can use it, but as it isn't in the research description

You misunderstand. 5o use the power you need to both be either a Master Battle Pysker or a Primaris Psyker and you need to be a Gamma level Psyker,so no matter what (short of Paragon) minor Battle Psykers will not be using it

Don't we have to report how much of our armed forces we are willing to send off on campaign in this vote? Or does that come later?

Ah, sorry, the research just said master battle psykers and gamma level primari, so I assumed.

It's still a significant increase.

It's in there, we are deploying 2 armies on a permanent basis (the max we can go to before Wildlife casualties ramp up) and another 1 can be brought up for short term which is the max before wildlife casualties become dangerously high.

We're also going to get an option to expand the PDF as soon as we get back.

[X] Plan Brief Report

Rereads the vote 4 times to make sure.

I still manage to derp out.

Crap

Are any of our grandmaster minors close to paragon? I assume their paragon-ship can only stem from control. It would be interesting to see what a paragon psyker with so little power can do (incredibly precise effects?)

I dunno. A minor battle psyker could well be a combat or martial paragon living on Averneus.

1. Do we have non heroic paragons amongst our people, or would them being a paragon necessitate them being known to us.
2. Is Arihman an alpha plus or an alpha?
3. Is alpha plus the same thing as paragon power?
4. What is the chance of an alpha plus not being chaotic?
5. Can we see the emperor's stats, just for fun. I imagine it's 60+ across the board.
6. Have Vanahiem started any cathedral's of the Omnisar/machine god?

7. Durin, if for some reason you had to stop running this quest, would you be willing to hand it over to a second person?
8. Would you ever consider taking a co-dm
9. How about releasing your rule set?
10. Where were your mechanics mostly inspired from? A lot of it seems quite like rouge trader.

10. This is an open question to everyone- do you think it would be possible to make embers into a video game. It would obviously need more skill than I have, but potentially might work as say an EU 4 mod. Might just not be possible to simulate enough systems down to the city level or write a sane, processing efficient system to run the AI. Some simplifications must be necessary from the level we run Averneus at if we are to do so.

2. Is Arihman an alpha plus or an alpha?
He's reportedly an alpha plus, though I doubt a high one.

5. Can we see the emperor's stats, just for fun. I imagine it's 60+ across the board.
He has at least 1 60 stat in his pre throne form, post he's got a 70 somewhere.

6. Have Vanahiem started any cathedral's of the Omnisar/machine god?
I don't even know if they can?

Religion might mean no despite Scott's insistence? Not sure.
