Just how many psykers is Midgard training up? We don't even have 10 million psykers, let along 10 million battle psykers.

Awesome update! There were supposed to be two Fanning the Flame actions and two Military Assistance rather than three, but given the time reduction on the campaign I'll take it - we only need one Military Assistance next year since there's only two years of campaign left, and we can have Ridcully spend all of his time after that Fanning the Flames to make up for the lost action.

And @Durin, your auto-corrupt has a lot of casualties in this update, as usual. I mean seriously, how does "enlists" become "sensualists"? Seriously man, either turn it off or get a beta reader to fix these things for you.

Archmagos Biologis Maximal's subordinates have recently discovered the Spiderbane Dragonfly, an insect that seems to primarily hunt Blink Spiders.

This is the best thing. The greatest thing. Clearly this shall become the most beloved create on all of Avernus.

I think it's meant to mean combined with Avernus there will be 10 million.

Alternativly Midgard does have a large population and their witch finders are starting to reach the semi required density.

They also likely have more passes albeit of lower quality.

@Durin, if you're going with something with 'Hunters', that's fine, but 'Last' makes it sound too edgy, especially considering the plainly named Imperial Assassins were much more competent.

Honestly, Avernite Assassins is probably the best way to go. It's not pretentious or edgy at all, it perfectly describes what they do, it doesn't sound like they're trying to look better than the Imperial Assassins, and it's rightly terrifying to any who know the history of the words of the name.

Plainly named?

Evidently I missed that :V.

Besides Avernite Assassins just sounds dumb.

Call em the Novacari or something if you want simplicity, but other wise the Tandem Venadandi it is.

How are they not plainly named? They're as plainly named as you can get. They're assassins, so they're called Assassins. Not Imperial Deathseekers or Imperial Doombringers or anything like that, just Imperial Assassins.

I think you and I have very different ideas of what the word 'simple' means.

We are already have Avernite Assassins and have had them since before the Emperor died. Besides what's wrong with 'The Last Hunters' it plainly references the fact they only go out and 'hunt' when the enemy is too much for our psyker hunters and witch hunters.

Yeah Imperial assassins like the Vindicare, Culexus, Vanus and Callidus.

Very simple  really gets across what they are doesn't it?

If you want to call them X assassin, call them Trust assassins (Apart from the fact that sounds even worse than Avernite assassin).

More simply we don't have the organisation to make X assassin sound intimidating.

Imperial assassin sounds intimidating because you know that they're the assassins of a grand empire, Trust assassin just sounds wha :???: those words together might make sense if that's their job, but its still weird, and Avernite assassin binds them too close to us for comfort and means nothing to most people.

Even people of the Trust, as well as not being too impressive for our own people.

I think you and I have very different ideas of what the word 'simple' means.
Probably, though I'm just following along with the assassin naming scheme which is Latin, pretentious and fun while often saying very little about what the assassins actually do to those that can't speak latin.

And as has been pointed out we've had Avernite Assassins for over 190 years now.

I don't like 'Last Hunters'. Too wordy.

'Hunters', 'Hounds' and other 1-word descriptions are what I'd go for.

Can I say I enjoy how much we put Ridicule on military assistance. He saved the life of a billion men and helped advance our timetable by a year. I am glad we put him on it so much.

Nice rolls.
Spying on gods confirmed what we suspected.
I think that we have a good chance to meet good ol' Garkill and other deceased warbosses of the old, like Ghazghkull, again. Either reincarnated, according to ork beliefs, or as waagh beings.

Can we call them 'Shades' or 'Ghosts', ala Starcraft?

Nah, let's reserve that for an order of psychic assassins.

I was looking over the character sheets, and I found out something interesting!
Rotbart needs 4 more combat for a paragon trait.
Lin needs 2 more for paragon.
Xavier needs 3 more for paragon. If he could get 7 more power, that's also another trait.
Julius needs 3 more martial for paragon.
Horatius needs 1 more combat for a paragon trait.
Sarnow needs 9 intrigue for paragon, and he's taken to studying the Eldar.
Syr is 9 martial and 9 combat away from paragon.
If Ridcully could get 9 more power, he would get another paragon trait.

Jane also needs only 6 for transcendent and Ridcully only 5
